>2 questionswhat do you guys think is the best DE overall?*what distro has the best out-of-the-box setup of that DE?*things to consider: performance, consistency, features (productivity), visual appearance i didnt touch linux for some years now and im sure a lot has changed, my impression at the time was the kde was like a collection of all the tools you need and dont need all put together and lit on fire. if you were to spend month or two tinkering with it you could maybe customize it to be a perfect fit, but even then it was running poorly and inconsistently. i myself prefer consistency over all else. if i press the start button i want start menu to open instantly it triggers me when windows stutters and waits for a second to do it. kde at the time was like that. what i liked the most was xfce, but nowadays i feel it is a bit dated so im looking for an alternative
