I used to use ime.exe for a long time (or w/e it was called) because it was very simple with no UI but some files broke so I moved to windows photos, now on a new install I want to break away from that.

It gets tagged as a controller instead. Installing different drivers from device management doesn't work, still shows up as a controller.

If I uninstall the drivers it disappears and if I unplug and plug it back in, it shows up as a controller again.

i bought a powerspec from microcenter and im having a few issues. so when i set it up it asked me to name it and i gave it, then during step 1 it was on each percent for like 30 minutes each percent. when it finally went to 26 percent i went out outside for a cigarette and when i came back it crashed with the error message "OOBEDEVICENAMECOMMIT" and there was no option to skip or restart so i opened command prompt and and it wouldn't type despite my keyboard being plugged in and the capslock light turning on/off, so i held down the power button to restart it. when i turned it back on it was on 98% percent. it went good after that but when i was working with it, some things were named the name i chose and others were named Desktop(random numbers). i started installing things and realised onedrive was still active even though i disabled it during setup and when i loaded in. now half of my computers stuff is named Desktop+(some numbers) and the name i chose.
now for some reason some stuff is in /Desktop(some numbers)/Documents, /(name i chose)/Documents, /(name)/Onedrive/Documents

Flashed an USB key with Ventoy today so I could give a look at W10 LTSC on my W10 Pro laptop, but Windows prompted me for a version update or clean install instead of letting me straight into the desktop like Linux Mint did.

if you expected to boot a desktop from the USB then that's not possible, the ISO is just a installer, Rufus can actually do that through Windows To Go iirc

If you wanted to change the key of your current Windows install to upgrade to LTSC then that's normally not allowed because you can't go from 22H2 to 21H2, you need a small trick from the Massgrave page to be able to change it without a reinstall

Months ago I entered "Dism /Online /Disable-Feature /Featurename:Recall" in the command line to turn off windows recall. I'm wondering, should it still be off or have any updates changed anything? When I enter the Featureinfo command it doesn't detect anything, when I attempt to re-enable it, it detects nothing.

Did they change how this works? I just want it off, I want all forced AI crap off my windows. I saw another thing about turning it off through registry editor, and there is no directory for WindowsAI in it, as I was informed there would be.

I'd switch over to linux right now but I've got a lot of stuff I'd want to back up.

my drive is split into 2 partitions but in drive manager it shows at 4 (2 main + 2 used/hidden by windows i suppose)
100mb EFI system partition (labeled as "drive 0 partition 1")
100gb c: system partition for my windows and programs
900gb e: for my data files etc
