My team wants to add me as a full time employee, but the offer I got was 80k. I'll also be expected to be on call. According to my coworkers, on call is the worst part of the job.

I know that these are hard to compare.
Mostly, I'm comparing the ease of finding a new job (if there will be one, with AI), and money.
From my current, tech-orientrd, perspective, architect role feels more prestigious and easier to go back to coding/ops from, but maybe upper management sees pms as more valuable.
PM feels like something that'd make me compete with all the "lazy girl boss" normies, but it has word 'manager' in title.

Back in 2022, I think October, I ran a security test to see how employees respond to phishing e-mails. I sent out a simple phishing e-mail which named Dumpsterfire LLC by name and sent it to the entire company e-mail alias ( handled through thank fuck, gmail workspaces at the time).

well i did say you should try to "spin it" as yoe. as in

Google maps used to work great, but then some retard came up with the bright idea to estimate orientation by differentiating GPS position and using the resultant velocity vector to orient the map. So now, when you come to a stop and ANY change is measured from the gyro or accelerometer, it just loses track of its orientation. If you're working an internship then thats actually acceptable. My first internship was at a non-profit and I was making a meager $8 an hour as head IT admin for an office of ~20 people (and i was limited to 20 hours a week) and i actually enjoyed it and learned a lot. There was a contracting agency that placed me there and told me to come to them with questions and they were surprised how well i performed but looking back I would have done things completely differently.

Yeah, thats rough, especially the pain of looking for work and being let down for that long. I was in the same boat in 2019 and the solution for me was identifying as hispanic on applications. The resulting job lasted 5 years until mass layoffs affected me.
I got a job fairly quickly, making less than I did before but the environment is friendly and the work is exciting, making it worth it. I hope yours is at least enjoyable too or at least you gain valuable experience from it

Yah I make only 95k euro a year coming from 145k but I prefer the 95k role (wirh like +18k in retirement so more like 113k) any day. The 150k euro was contracting everything provision and was only that amount if I was working hours and got projects. Ideally it would be 180k but that's with no downtime / off days which never happens.

I might do it again though if I can get a project for a year with a more senior rate (so instead of charging like 80ish an hour I'd be charging 110+). I was very close to getting a year long (with high chance of renewal) at 120/hr for 36 hours per week, still a bit salty I didn't get it.
