its ultimately a highly technically complicated product that requires the typical billions of investment to make a single fab with asml machines and clean rooms
theres a lag to it because the fabs take years to come online

AI is a bubble and many expect it to pop so the demand may not go on forever. No one knows where the money to pay for all the datacenters is meant to come from.

So you're saying I should hodl my cash and wait for a dotcom bubble 2.0 to happen? Jokes aside, AI is pretty great with research and statistics. The niggers eating all the RAM and memory are the image generators. Notice how memory issues weren't a problem up until OpenAI's videoslop generator released.

You should be aware that the NA-STPG1 is just like a tiny sheet of plastic, though. It's not even remotely worth $9. I know it's Noctua, but it's a pretty insultingly priced piece of shit.

Hard to say. In testing it's a very, very good unit with very little to complain about. The exploding be quiet! PSUs were largely limited to Straight Power/Dark Power Pro 13 products (the Dark Power 13 non-Pro didn't seem to have any issues and the Dark Power 12 Pro is well-regarded) so it should be a safe bet. be quiet! also has enough of a presence online that you could tweet or post to their Reddit page if you needed immediate attention with regards to the warranty/RMA process.
If cable length wasn't a concern, and I had to pick between the two, I'd go with the be quiet!.

>I don't think AI datacenters need that much RAM, SSDs and GPUs.
Then you have no idea what you are thinking about.
4.1k+ datacenters in USA alone
8k+ world wide
500+ will be built per year until 2030
Hardware cycle - every 3-5 years datacenters fully restock their hardware, shredding used ones in the process and harvesting the scrap for rare earths.
Current global output cannot match this demand, all of it will be consumed without fault. This alone would create massive issues but this is just one part of the problem.
Wafer manufacturers - RAM/NAND cartel were closing production lines for the past 3 years, including Q4 of 2025. Their arguments - "depressed low margin market, we overproduced, it is not profitable".
Datacenter boom started in 2023. They are cutting down since 2023.
They are not increasing their production.
RAM cycle - each generation has a period of shortage that rises prices, increases demand and thus leads to massive overproduction that floods the market and inevitably crashes it. That is no longer possible.
Because no matter how much they make AI will buy it all.
>it is a bubble
Funded by USA's finest printers. AI fiesta has reached the level of national arms race. They won't go down before USA does.
AI is buying the full yearly output of wafer manufacturers, every single wafer they are willing to sell AI will buy at a premium. Price isn't a concern, they will buy and pay upfront.
You will be competing for the same wafer with AI(USA printer), hardware OEM manufacturers like ASUS, MSI, NVIDIA & AMD and phone manufacturers, by the way Samsung(cartel) isn't willing to sell its wafers to Samsung(phone) because they can get a better deal with AI.
Good luck.

I still don't know the endgame for what all these datacenters is
My mind only imagines it's not for whatever they are saying it is, be that agi or better chatbots or whatever
I can only imagine they are going to be used to create a massive surveillance system that tracks every single human on the planet and can immediately dispatch AI drones and bots to arrest or kill them immediately on the spot
the only problem with that is not a single government is competent enough to carry it out
>>
>>107585306
The problem with AI is software optimization and these dumbfucks are trying to fix this issue with hardware. It wasn't that long ago that these niggers got scared with deepseek. If that watershed moment happens again and people realize they can create their own models without them as proprietary middlemen and run it on a calculator locally, these people are giga fucked.

Seeing two bundle deals:
>Intel Core i7-14700K, ASUS Z790-Plus TUF Gaming WiFi D5, G.Skill Ripjaws S5 32GB Kit DDR5 6000, Computer Build Bundle
$599
>AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, ASUS B650E-E TUF Gaming WiFi AM5, G.Skill Flare X5 Series 32GB DDR5-6000 Kit, Computer Build Bundle
$679

My current system is a 8700k (lol) with 32GB DDR4. I was going to get a DDR4-compat mobo and an Intel CPU, but given the volatility in the tech market I figure I just want to buy once cry once. I'd have to get a new NVME for the OS and all but I'll do that afterwards. I'll be keeping my GPU (4070) but also new PSU and so on.

Alternative would be the B760 Asus TUF or something + 14700k which would be what, 300 for CPU plus 160 or something from amazon = 200 dollars cheaper
>>
>>107585430
the amb bundle seems like it'll be out of stock soon
>>
>>107585430
Don't buy the 14700K if you can't tune it (changing CPU AC/DC loadline & voltage regulator's LLC, and setting a light CPU undervolt).
Board manufacturers chose the easy/lazy way to set up the default settings for these chips, they'll run quite power inefficiently at stock settings even with the newest BIOS.

Making few people very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very rich. AI guys are BFFs with Cartel guys. They shake hands, go to dinners and laugh at american tax payer who covers their bills. This "shortage" is entirely manufactured, it wasn't sudden by any means. NVIDIA needed a new market, Cartel guys needed a new market, AI datacenters are that new market. Yesterday NVIDIA was raking in, now its Samsung's turn.
>>107585405
Are their programs well optimized? Is AGI possible? Do you think they care? lol, lmao. Even if legislator steps in and some gook goes to a one room apartment, nothing changes. He will come out in 5 years and get himself an nice executive chair in Samsung. For now we just wait out 2 years of the "expected shortage period" they drew to us and watch the weather. Money is still money so unless they went coo-coo and want world dominance or some other loony shit, this "shortage" shouldn't last more than that. Though the price hike will be staying with us until the end of the decade for above mentioned reasons.

I won't have all the remaining parts (Case, Cooler, PSU, OS SSD), I'll buy them over the next few months but this feels like a circumstance where I shouldn't just sit and wait to have it all in one fell swoop. And looking at the
reddit
thread I saw it in people are saying this bundle was about the same price beforehand, give or take.

>>107585511
I'm an advanced brainlet, so while I would be able to look up the bios shit (and I did update my bios on the current system) that definitely dissuades me from 14700k. I did see last thread people were saying that AMD runs hot, but apparently someone said AMD is hot idle but not as hot active and Intel is vice versa. Besides gaming the only intense shit I do is photoshop and substance painter and if my 2017 era CPU can handle that I'm sure AMD will be able to.

You should still test that new CPU, motherboard, & memory while you can return it.
It doesn't need a fancy new PSU to check whether they're working.

First-time memory training can take up to 5~15 minutes, updating the board BIOS can improve memory stability.

I feel like RAM heat spreaders are in general are all kinda awful.
About as close as you get to decent are Dominators, and even then they have fucking RGB out the ass.

I have a 32gb kit from my 7800x3D bundle, gonna probably use that in a second rig since I have a 9800x3D in the first one.

RAM will be more valuable than gold soon.

my gskill has no rgb either, and all my fans (silent wings 4) have no rgb. all I want is a fast, quiet system that doesn't blind me while I play vidya or use apps.

A 9070xt will litterally double your FPS at any resolution, buuuut it's still up in the air how long it'll be supported after AMD cucked 7000 series out of new features due to switching to monolithic die from chiplets. UDNA will come out in like 18 months, and it'll have even better raytracing than RDNA4.

I haven't done anything like larger data transfers before, so i was wondering if it would be fine to get a 1TB usb drive and do it that way.
I want to know that the drives i'm going to get are prone to data loss/failing, and that the method i'm going to use will corrupt more data than i'm trying to transfer.

UDNA will be the result of AMD consolidating their server and gaming architecture, so If anything, next gen AMD gaming GPU's will be cheaper or static in price while Nvidia becomes more expensive. UDNA might be to the Radeon division what zen was to the CPU division.

I have a b650 steel legend since it was the highest recommended board last November. Should I update bios? I haven't done it since getting it. Have a 7600x3d
