Is it good?
>>107604744It's just Fedora a version behind with Steam, some codecs and a nvidia driver...It's perfect.
>>107604744If you can think of reasons it's not good, you can write a dockerfile that makes it good. Like, if you have any Linux shell scripting ability at all.
>>107604744I's just fedora silverblue - tranny edition
>>107605025TIL skipping codecs and drivershit and layering many packages you'd already want for the target use case makes you a tranny, and tinkering with every new install is what seasoned male Linux users do.
>>107604744Yes, it's one of the only downstream distros I respect and even the fedora project mentions it. Fedora atomic is great, but because of their hardcore FOSS philosophy also a pain for consumers (codecs, proprietary QoL, kernel modules which are a pita on atomic distros and fixes in general, as well as the extra gaming related QA for regressions). It's perfect for a "Steam Machine" console like PC, but also decent as a desktop OS. I usually stick to Arch, Debian, Fedora and openSUSE, but mint and bazzite are an exception for recommendations.
it's fedora with steam and nvidia driver blobs packaged with itthey just cut ties with their handheld developer because some anime girl pfp troons thought he was too meanthere is no use case
>>107605983qrd?
>>107605983What if I'm a troon who hates handhelds and wants to use fedora with steam and an nvidia card?
>>107606121lmfao, I hope hes on /g/https://bsky.app/profile/xeniameraki.bsky.social/post/3m7nejl4qxs22
>>107604744It’ll be dead in a year, like most meme distros
>>107606121thread about it here >>107597494tldr is some troon weebs campaigned to get one of the main developers removed from the project because he didn't suck them off enough
I prefer cachy.
>>107604744I prefer Nobara.
It's another distro. The difference is when you find some issues (and you will) it will be slightly harder to troubleshoot because there's shit you aren't supposed to touch.
>>107605062yeah that makes you a tranny
damn somehow replied to the wrong thread>>107606814
>>107604744If you're new to Linux and don't want to risk messing something up or potentially hunting down some drivers, then it's a great choice. It's pretty restrictive though, so if you actually want access to a package manager or want to do more personalization with the OS, then I'd go for CachyOS.
i like how plug and play bazzite is, immutable and atomic etc... is not good for non-gaming uses but it just werks (driver support, especially with AMD is almost flawless)
>>107606938>>107607021you have access to all package managers and all software with dev containers and distroboxes
>>107604744Only actually secure and stable gaming distro. So yes, if you're a gamer go for bazzite. Fedora atomic distros are very good.
