True RGB 4K240Hz OLED @ CES!!!!!!!https://old.reddit.com/r/OLED_Gaming/comments/1pti1au/lg_display_unveils_the_worlds_first_240hz_rgb/>■Structure of RGB subpixels of the three primary colors of light arranged in a single row... Optimized for operating systems such as Windows, high font clarity, less color bleeding and color distortion>■ High-difficulty technology requiring complete redesign of pixel circuits, compensation algorithms, etc.... Successful development for the first time in the industry by applying new technology>LG Display (CEO Cheol-dong Jeong / www.lgdisplay.com ) announced on the 23rd that it will unveil the world's first 27-inch 4K monitor OLED panel with an RGB (red, green, blue) stripe structure and a high refresh rate of 240Hz at 'CES 2026', the world's largest IT and home appliance exhibition. The>RGB stripe structure is a structure that arranges RGB subpixels of the three primary colors of light in a row, and distortion phenomena such as color bleeding and color fringe are significantly reduced even at close range. Although there were OLED panels with RGB stripe methods before, the maximum refresh rate was only around 60Hz, so they could not be used as gaming monitors.>The product that LG Display is unveiling this time is the first to increase the refresh rate to 240Hz while maintaining the RGB stripe structure. It applies a specialized technology called DFR (Dynamic Frequency & Resolution) so that users can directly select the high-resolution mode (UHD 240Hz) and the high refresh rate mode (FHD 480Hz).The Prophecy foretold by TFTCentral ~a year ago (picrel) was true.

What benchmark program should i run to test stability of my CPU and GPU when undervolting?
Here is a comparison of different tunings with my average bin 9070 XT so should be applicable to many cards. I don't think raising the power limit is really worth it on RDNA 4 since you just dump a ton of power into the card and get like 2% more out of it. Undervolting with a negative power limit is very impressive however, nearly 50 watts less and the same performance is incredible. I will also make a tuning guide image and put it along with this on imgur and add the link to the next OP.
>>107653016>CPUcore cyclery-cruncherlook for WHEA errors in event viewer (or hwinfo)>GPUin my experience Time Spy (normal verstion) was always the first to start crashing among many benchmark tools and game benchmarks.
>>107653124A 70mV undervolt is not 100% stable for the average bin. It might be annoying to test for (because it would only crash in picky games and usually outside of the canned benchmark) but it's true.
>>107653192Mine even isn't 100% stable at that I forgot to mention sorry. Single player games are fine but some multiplayer stuff like BF6 is sensitive and crashes so I just lower it to -50 and 2600 MHz in memory. I will note that it's game dependent in the tuning guide.
Teach me how to overclock properly without frying my GPU>+300 mhz core>+2000 memory>115% poweris this correct?
>>107653285You can't fry a modern GPU (unless the cooler has severe physical damage).
>>107653313I overclocked a laptop GPU in 2019 and broke itIt was even a manufacturer preset lmao
>>107653285You can go up to +3000mhz memory on the latest beta build>>107653338Laptops aren't built with much or any thermal headroom so they do die a lot faster once you shove more power into them. Same with old GPUs with stock blower coolers too

>>107653565>What is your model or stock freq?Asus Prime OC>positive freq offset does absolutely nothingYeah that's normal it doesn't really do anything on mine or anybody else's either I just put the +200 to make sure it can boost higher if it wants because it doesn't hurt either. I'll note it does nothing in my tuning guide.>Also any way to make the settings stick after power loss, or apply in one click? You can't no. But what you can do is just export the tuning settings as an XML file and save it in your documents then just import it if you get a reset. Both the buttons for that are in the top right next to the stress test thing on the tuning screen in adrenalin.>>107653483>I plan to target 180W TBP to not ever have to care about thermals - we'll see what the performance cost will beYou can only do -30% for the power limit which will be like 220 watts and it will turn your 9070 XT into a 9070 non xt basically lol so I don't recommend that. The temps even at stock power are not bad anyway I get like 82 degress on memory which is perfectly safe (95 is the limit for gddr6). Undervolting is good so just do between -10% and -20% depending on how high of an offset you can do and be stable, you also can adjust the fan curve if you like since all these cards by default don't run them very fast for noise.
>>107653124>>107653694>actually good content from nicotroonkeep posting like that and maybe you'll get maybe to buy a radeon
can a 5090 fit in this case
>>107653700Idk anon why not check the size of the 5090 and max GPU length of the case?
>>107653740I don't have a 5090 though.
>>107653483>>107653694Supposedly XT and non-XT bios can be flashed to each other without any special hardware and all they do is move power limits. But my card does not have dual bios switch so I don't want to try it and risk bricking it.Maybe XT can be freq-limited to match ~180W ? Extrapolating the statistics it should increase efficiency even more.
>>107653747So look up the size on the internet?
>>107653700that the non-xl? it'd be a pretty tight fit and probably impossible to close the side panel because of how wide most 5090 cards are and how the 12vhpwr just extends out the side
>>107653783idk im just looking at their website planning my brother's rig didn't realize there were two versions. says 355 mm clearance
>>107653750How do I do that? I can't afford gpt
>>107653794355 is the length of the card which wont be a problem. you probably want an xl for the extra width to fit such a wide graphics card.though i'd suggest you choose another case with good airflow including bottom intakes and top exhausts since the 5090 will dump a lot of heat into the case
>>107653749I was thinking of just setting clock speeds to ~2400-2500Mhz to match the 9070 and adjust from there. Unless the GPU Tuning tab is considerably different from the one that shows up when you have a Navi 2 GPU, it should be pretty trivial to do
>>107653794since its for your brother why not go for an open frame design?
>>107653821might be hard finding something just as handsome lol but alright i'll take bottom intake into account
>$290 for 48GB 6000CL36How'd I do? Wanted better timings but beggars, choosers and all that.
>>107653850could be a lot worse
>>107653842The North is a great case and cooling won't be a huge issue. There is always better, but the North is perfectly acceptable if you like the aesthetics and everything fits. Most decent cases are withing 5c of each other, so it's splitting hairs.

>>107653837RDNA2 had two sliders with absolute values for base and boost freq, both affecting entire frequency/voltage curve.RDNA4 only has "Max Frequency" slider that works as a hard cutoff, not curve offset, and it can only go as low as -500MHz.Pretty sure -30% power limit overtakes -500MHz clock limit anyway.
>>107653920yes, extremely, but most custom builds are no less uglykeep in mind however that glass panels offend me greatly, so there's not a lot you can do
>>107653920not beautiful nor ugly, in case it can help, my humble advice, big mobo and big case merely for comfort when having to work on it
>>1076538975C is the difference between a quiet and noisy system. Besides there is a larger than 5C difference in GPU temps between good and bad cases. Cases with PSU shrouds aren't good for GPU cooling since they have a pocket of stale air that gets recycled in a positive feedback.I have a fractal north mesh and don't quite like that the mesh actually gets the system pretty dusty over time unlike glas/solid panels. A better set it and forget case would be something like a torrent or O11D that has proper dust filtration and bottom intakes for the GPU
>>107653959>Besides there is a larger than 5C difference in GPU temps between good and bad cases. That's why I said decent cases, which the North is. Hell most modern cases fit into the decent category of cooling.
Is this a good deal?
Broke this little plastic thing on my board, does anyone know if I can replace it? Its supposed to hold the m.2 drive in place with a little plastic finger and the finger bent
okay what about this one
>>107654050Most MB include a spare one. You can often just use a proper sized screw to hold the drive down depending on the standoff design.
>>107654050I don't think I've ever had one of these in the first placealways just used the screw and nothing else to hold M.2 drives in place
Is Torrent still the best case if I want solid side panels, good airflow, and 4+ SSDs, or should I get POP and some kind of picrel?
>>107654060still vomit-inducing, sorry anonette
>>107654060Not my thing either but you have to remember you're in a place where even a glass side panel is pushing it. If you like it, go for it. You're the one who is going to be looking at it all day, not anons.
