hehe
<shameless report edition>question for all my /pcbg/ ARGB "expert" builders - i never used ARGB in a PC, and i want to use a couple of ARGB LED with my asus board and OpenRGB - by this I mean one, two, three, four, five, etc. LEDs, not a huge strip of them, I just want one each RGB that can change color depending on CPU/GPU/RAM/SSD temperatures so as to have a sort of idiot light display - is this actually even possible? which is the best DIY site to learn how to make my own?>inb4 noob, i never thought i'd want to use any of this glowie faggotry but now i'm curious
>>107663040stop being gay. openrgb prob has a plugin for it. now gtfo with your faggot lights.

Is it a good deal?New price seems to be about $1500I'm planning to buy and then sell the 9800XD for 9600X and the 4060 for 9060 XT 16GB

>>107663050Yes

>>107662999look at all that dolphin porn
>>107663050Forgot to include a cooler master fan>>107663060How old are those parts? Most of them would still be pretty new and still in warranty right? >>107663077Wouldn't the 9060 XT bottleneck the X3D?
>>107663103You can't count on warranties with used parts.A gpu cannot bottleneck a gpu, the cpu tells the gpu what to do.
>>107663050That'd be a good deal even if prices weren't fucked right now. I'd flip the 4060 ti to offset the cost of something better with more vram.
>>107663103>Wouldn't the 9060 XT bottleneck the X3D?yeah prob all the time even. but almost any gpu would bottleneck the x3d the question is buy how much. i wouldn't toss away a cheap x3d cpu for anything else if you just want to gayme. like i don't see the problem with a gpu bottleneck. you won't have to upgrade the cpu in case you upgrade to a new gpu. you like want the maximum from your gpu don't you? a balanced system just means you have to upgrade both when you do a major upgrade like the gpu. buying a 7800x3d with a 4060ti 8gb was stupid but buying a 7800x3d system for 950 is not and upgrading it to a 16gb gpu.
>>107662999unused ram is wasted ram, i gues...
>>107663126well you can. if your gpu is below like 98% usage like in e sports games at low settings and low resolutions. your cpu is doing everything it (on like one, two or four cores that is) can but the gpu sits at 50%. but that is the nature of the games really. it would also be the case with a i3 2120 and a 5090 in any modern game. like full cpu usage and a gpu with nothing to do.
>>107662971the ssd i bought on black friday isnow 100 dollas more expensive

>>107663249That's a great pairing.
Do I have to take apart my PC to clean it? How are you supposed to use the air canister without blowing the dust further inside your PC?
>>107663249it's a perfectly fine combo since you prob bought it new. i just don't see a reason to downgrade a system just not to bottleneck something that is going to bottleneck any gpu really.

Is the 4060 ti 8GB that bad? I'm also planning to upgrade mine. Looks like the 9060 XT 16 GB is a good upgrade? I have an intel cpu tho.
>>107663306correct answers to questions.yes.but contrarian somehow? no. so you or they, failed at reading
>>107663320There is not performance difference between 4060ti and 9060xt to justify the upgrade
>>107663320Looking at reviews the difference is 1 fps. Maybe your cpu is older than Alder Lake and holding you back?
>>107663323a bottleneck occurs when one component in a computer system (such as the cpu or gpu) can’t keep up with the others, limiting overall performance and preventing faster parts from reaching their full potential. i have a 7800 xt and a 7950x3d with its non‑x3d cores disabled (essentially turning it into a 7800x3d with a ~200 mhz boost). in cs2 at 1440p, i get around 500 fps with about 88% gpu usage at low settings. if you replaced my 7800 xt with a 9060 xt, which is roughly 20% slower, my cpu would not reach the maximum frame rate possible in this esports title. that would be a gpu bottleneck in a game many people play at similar settings. it’s not bad or unusual to have the gpu bottleneck the cpu — it's actually ideal in most games because it means you're getting the maximum performance out of your gpu. having a potential cpu bottleneck in cs2 at over 500 fps just shows that he is going to be gpu‑bottlenecked almost all the time. so i don’t see anything wrong with my original statement.>>107663320the 8gb of vram make it obsolete
Beginning of the year i bought some stuff, not knowing much about anything. I got a i7-14700k as it seemed to me it was pretty much amongst the fastest there was. I then got 192GB of DDR5 (4x 48GB 5200MHz, runs at 4800MHz with 4 and 5200MHz with two sockets) because i thought i can run large LLMs with it. My GPU was a 4090 that i sold as soon as the 5090 was available. The RAM isn't fast enough for large LLMs, i get 4 t/s or so. Smaller models run fast enough, particularly the ones i can run in the GPU are really fast.Is there any other CPU for the LGA1700 socket that maybe has 4 memory channels, so i can get more throughput? I feel i wasted a lot of money by not buying the right hardware.
>>107662998I just to make fun of waitfags. but they have proved to be the winners. I am scared to wait until I need it to buy ram
>>107662971>still two power cables in three GPU power connectorsthis gives me the ick
>>107663375No, consumer platforms with the exception of Alder Lake Atom and AMD AI MAX have 2 memory channels.
>>1076633209060xt 16gb is a sidegrade4060ti 8gb has good performance but is held back by its 8gb vram
