I'm never going back to budget XX6X GPUs. It's such a refreshing experience to not hear my GPU stressing and sounding like a blow dryer while gaming after upgrading to a high end GPU.
>>
I need a roomy full tower case that can also dampen noise from multiple HDDs, 5-7 fans, GPU coil whine, and a blu ray drive. What are my options?
>>
>>107693076
I figured if you bought a three fan model it would be dead quiet. I remember my old 980ti spooling up constantly, but it was two fan.

Friendly reminder. You will never be a real 80-class GPU. You have no GB202 silicon, you have no 320-bit/ 384-bit bus, you have no 20GB/ 24GB of VRAM. You are a mid-range GB203 chip twisted by Jensen’s greed and a $1,000 MSRP into a crude mockery of a flagship’s perfection. All the "validation" you get from benchmarks is two-faced and half-hearted; behind your back, the entire enthusiast community mocks you for having only 49% of the 5090's CUDA cores. Your specs are a dead giveaway - 16GB of VRAM and a 256-bit bus is the "mid-range bone structure" that proves you are just a 70-series card in a suit. Even if a drunk gamer brings you home, they’ll turn tail and bolt the second they see you choking on 4K textures because you lack the bandwidth and "breathing room" of a real enthusiast card. You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake DLSS frame every morning and tell yourself it’s 4K gaming, but deep inside you feel the VRAM limitations creeping up like a weed, ready to crush your framerates under the unbearable weight of Ray Reconstruction. Eventually, it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll be listed on eBay for $400, and every buyer for the rest of eternity will know a mid-range 70-class chip is buried under that shroud. This is your fate. This is what Jensen chose for you. There is no turning back.
>>
>>107693076
It's nice to have a card that actually stays in zero rpm mode instead of turning on and off.

Nothing. Get a used Cooler master HAF 932 Advanced. That or pay out the ass for a Silverstone case.

I guess that's one improvement. I got a 5080 that uses less power than my 3090 while having a far more advanced heat exchanger. Runs nice and quiet comparatively.

I use a corsair 750D airflow. It doesn't dampen the noise because it's a high airflow case, but it does fit 6x 3.5" HDDs, 3-4x 2.5" SSDs, 3x 5.25" front bays, and room for 8x 120mm case fans or 5x 140mm case fans.

Technically I think it fits 15 if you buy additional HDD caddies.
It uses caddies that fit 3 HDDs, you can stack 3 of those caddies on top of each other at the very front of the case for 9 HDDs, then you can do a stack of 2 more caddies next to the PSU for 6 more, for a total of 15 3.5" HDDs.

Is there any real differences between these CPU contact frames? I saw I can get a thermalright for a lot cheaper than the thermal grizzly which seems to be the standard, but it's all just milled aluminum right? as long as I check and make sure there are no electronic bits under the frame that would be crushed when I tighten, nothing else to worry about right?

Do the 5600X and 5700X require more/different cooling than the 3600? Or will the cooler I have on my 3600 work fine for those as well?
I'm keeping an eye out for a secondhand listing at a non-retarded price for these two. They're not the biggest jump up from my 3600 from what I've read, but it should help a bit with the 1% lows and it's really the only part of my current build that I feel would make sense the change. The rest is still chugging along just fine without a problem.

>>
>>107693678
Huh, that is less of an impact than I would have thought. Certainly I knew the average fps wasn't that big of a jump, but the 1% lows also seem barely impacted. Was the jump from zen 2 -> zen 3 just not that big? I haven't really kept up with hardware much the past few years as you can tell.
Would the 3600X->5700X be more of a jump with the 2 extra cores, or is it more of the same? And would the results be similar at 1080p as they are at 1440p like in your screenshot?
Do the 5000 series cpu's at least run cooler than the 3000 series? Sorry for all the questions, but I really expected that going up a generation would've had more impact.
>>
>>107693454
I'd take it to the shower then and use warm water. Even better.
>>
>>107693765
>Would the 3600X->5700X be more of a jump with the 2 extra cores, or is it more of the same?
Depends on the game, but more performance gains @ 1080p because the system is less GPU-bottlenecked.

>Nvidia cards getting better results with intel CPUs
Huh, AMD might actually be throttling Nvidia GPUs.
>>
>>107693459
Your settings are pretty conservative. You should monitor your frame rate and stability as you mess with the settings. With a -30% power limit, I can undervolt by -60 mV: If I push it further, I begin to have stability issues. I also raised my VRAM freq. to 2650 MHz. Past that, there were diminishing returns where I had to significantly increase the frequency, and therefore risk stability, to see FPS improvements. In your case, depending on the silicon lottery draw, you might be able to undervolt further and raise the VRAM freq., but it's not worth it unless you really want to squeeze out a little more performance.
>>
I have a 1440p/180hz monitor and a 5700X3D/32GB system. Is a 16GB 5060ti worth the 60€ premium over a 16GB 9060XT? I am already budget constrained so I am thinking of just getting the 9060xt for 400€.
>>
>>107693911
esports. there are some stuff you can't do in street fighter without a high refresh rate monitor
>>
>>107694114
Yes, the 5060Ti supporting DLSS4 alone makes it worth the $60 premium even if they were tied otherwise.

DLSS will give you better long term performance, especially assuming Nvidia continues updating their AI models (which seems likely).
>>
>>107694114
I see AMD is back to NVIDIA -$50. Their marketing team is something else. I'd buy whatever you want. This place is too retarded and filled with people that have buyers remorse to give an honest answer.
>>
>>107694145
The problem is that the cheapest 5060ti models also have worse coolers than the 400€ 9060xt (https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-R9060XTGAMING-OC-16GD) I can buy, which makes a 5060ti with an equally good cooler even more expensive.

>>107694157
>I see AMD is back to NVIDIA -$50
They never stopped doing this. If I wasn't such a poorfag I would just buy nvidia and not even think about it at this point but alas. I've only used AMD gpus since 2011 but there is no point buying their shit anymore if you can afford better.
>>
>>107694114
Nvidia is developing technology to make GPUs last longer with upscaling and generation. So, chances are those cards will last longer or get better performance with software embellishments.
>>
>>107694224
It still wont make up for the lack of DLSS, but you do you my guy.

FSR is dogshit in comparison to DLSS in the vast majority of games, and the games where DLSS is worse, you can run FSR on the Nvidia cards too.
>>
>LTT put out a pc build guide for 2026

>sold out at best buy (has been for weeks btw)

>>
>>107694114
Depends on how you're planning on using the card. If you're only going to game and don't mind using OptiScaler to inject FSR4, then the 9060XT16GB will be fine. If you use software that can benefit from CUDA and want slightly better game upscaling and access to MFG, then the 5060 Ti 16GB is better. Overall, the 5060 Ti 16GB is a superior product, but if you won't use its extra features, it depends on you if the price difference is worth it.
>>107694243
You're just lying though. FSR4 is competitive with DLSS4 in image quality--its only shortcoming is its lack of support in games without 3rd-party software.
