Was considering upgrading my aging 5600x to a newer AMD processor, but I ended up getting a core ultra 9
>inn4 waste of sand
>inferior product
Fuck off, I made the conscious decision to support Intel in anyway I can, NO one company should have a monopoly over anything, be it nvidia with the gpu market, or AMD with the cpu market

Friendly reminder. You will never be a real 80-class GPU. You have no GB202 silicon, you have no 320-bit/ 384-bit bus, you have no 20GB/ 24GB of VRAM. You are a mid-range GB203 chip twisted by Jensen’s greed and a $1,000 MSRP into a crude mockery of a flagship’s perfection. All the "validation" you get from benchmarks is two-faced and half-hearted; behind your back, the entire enthusiast community mocks you for having only 49% of the 5090's CUDA cores. Your specs are a dead giveaway - 16GB of VRAM and a 256-bit bus is the "mid-range bone structure" that proves you are just a 70-series card in a suit. Even if a drunk gamer brings you home, they’ll turn tail and bolt the second they see you choking on 4K textures because you lack the bandwidth and "breathing room" of a real enthusiast card. You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake DLSS frame every morning and tell yourself it’s 4K gaming, but deep inside you feel the VRAM limitations creeping up like a weed, ready to crush your framerates under the unbearable weight of Ray Reconstruction. Eventually, it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll be listed on eBay for $400, and every buyer for the rest of eternity will know a mid-range 70-class chip is buried under that shroud. This is your fate. This is what Jensen chose for you. There is no turning back.

desu this is already more than i need. I haven't even played any game with "RayTracing" and i doubt I ever will.
and i wouldn't want to own a card with a dangerously underspecced power delivery system anyway.

Hey /pcbg/. I just added some storage to my PC. Another 1TB NVME drive for my games and such and then a 4TB WD Blue HDD for my data storage. My movies, pictures, music, e-comics and such, I don't need speed for that. But holy fuck, the new 4TB Blue is so fucking loud. It's not having issues, it's just a rather noisy boy when it reads and writes. Especially reading. It's really fucking annoying. If it bugs me enough I may replace it with something else, but looking online if just doesn't seem like there are a ton of options available for HDDs anymore. WD isn't great at these larger capacities unless you pay more. Lol Segate. Is Toshiba still decent? They were decent last I heard. Alternatively, I could just set up a NAS or something and move the current drive somewhere else. I dunno, what's everyone's solution for larger amounts of data. Currently sitting at just under 2TB worth of stuff.

Are you sure it's not a head parking loop. My never shut up. I use Keep Alive HD. It makes them quiet when at idle.
>>
>>107697280
lmao, you're like a baby.

I have a 16TB, and two 22TBs in my desktop within 6 feet of my bed seeding torrents 24/7.

And they're enterprise drives (Exos/IronWolf Pro/MG10) so they're even louder than regular consumer drives.

>Can't you just debtmaxx and have a bit of fun before you go?
Best I can do is get a new PC and some other electronics. I'm too sick to do anything physical so I'll get a new PC, play some games and die.
I also lost my dog on Christmas so I don't even feel like prolonging my life or doing anything.
>>
Didn't see the new thread

>>107696986
Pretty much, but it has three slots, so I was gonna use the deotated pcie output for one of them as well.
>>
>>107697351
It's only when reading really. Even when it's writing it's not terrible. It's fine when idling. My 2TB Blue is nice and quiet but I hear the heads on the 4TB one. I guess it isn't a big deal, I'm just not used to it. It's only for my media really anyway so it's not a huge deal. My emulators and rims/ISOs are on the 2tb drive still. Native games get installed to one of my 3 NVME drives.

Is there something like the Sliger S610 case in the market that's in-stock (and preferably without paying the indie premium)? The closest I could find is the D32 but the width is a bit too wide.

Will the price of 14th gen Intel ever become good again, or is it over? The lowest price of a 14600K you can find is like $250. Only a couple months ago you could find them for $150.
