I'm having to "downsize" from an oled TV + IPS UW monitor to just a monitor in a few months
Not sure what the best way to go might be, considering most of what I do is gaming on pc and console. Any ideas?

Ultrawide is nice for a couple of games and multitasking, but I'm missing out on 30% of the screen when playing on console, which might end up being most of the time considering how fucked up Pc prices are

A 32" 4k monitor might solve the multitasking issue, but for sure will miss an UW. I guess I can always grab a second very cheap monitor

On top of that, is OLED worth it for PC usage? I love my tv but I browse and play shit like XIV so much that burn in might be inevitable. And I don't even know how well it works for retro shit and filters and such.

It doesn't matter how big the cooler is on a 5090 because if you want to run it safely without the risk of the connector burning, you will need to limit the power and/or undervolt it as well. A stock 5090 can pull up to 575W at max load, that leaves a very tiny margin for the 9A rated pins (at max load, under ideal conditions that don't exist, each pin will have 8A going through it). 5090 and its 32GB of VRAM are overkill for gaming, but despite that, there are some games it can't max at 1080p 60FPS, you're going to have to use upscaling anyway, so just get a 5070Ti or 9070 XT (without 12VHPWR).

I am struggling to diagnose why my new GPU is misbehaving after trying many fixes. May I please get some assistance? For reference:

I'm powering it just like I did with the other GPU; two separate PSU cables for each of the 8-pin sockets (instead of using a pigtail) for smoother draw/transients. My issue is a bizarre and somewhat unpredictable black screen and eventual boot loop (which resolves eventually). It may crash at desktop, or when I try to load a game, etc, but it seems inescapable. I thought it could be my Displayport cable, so I tried a brand new HDMI cable I had laying around just in case, but the same shit persists. Why might this be happening? What can I do? Think it's a dud? This is such bizarre behavior from what is supposed to be a brand new card.

Yes, you should. Pause driver updates, download GPU driver installer, disconnect from internet, run DDU, when system restarts run the GPU driver installer, when it's totally complete reconnect. If that doesn't work, you might have do some more testing.

I redid the process, from DDU (in Safe Mode this time) to new driver install and restart. Just rocking absolutely stock settings on everything. I loaded a game up to test, and it worked. Added back my PBO/etc settings for my CPU, and kept working just fine too.

However, I haven't done anything to optimize my GPU, and EXPO remains disabled. Not sure what I should touch on first here. I'm hesitant to touch anything; disabling EXPO earlier (before I did all mentioned above) fucked me into a blank BIOS loop, and I had to clear CMOS to get through. Very weird shit.

Many multiplayer cpu demanding games like space marine 2, escape from tarkov, helldivers, battlefield 6, etc see a significant improvement with the 9800x3d even at 1440p and 4k. If you want the best gaming cpu and smoothest experience for these games there is no better option. Not listing it just because you think it's too much money for an 8 core cpu is nonsense, it gets you the best gaming performance at a much lower price than the 9950x3d and many people just want that because they play these demanding multiplayer games but don't do any serious work on their PC.

Not at the moment Boss 25.12.1 is still fucked and im not sure when AMD is going to release a stable driver as my other system with my 7900XTX is on 25.9.1 as well hopefully they release a decent driver next month but im not holding my breath

AMD didn't QC there latest drivers so they have a fair amount of issues hence why most are still on 25.9.1 or 25.9.2 as these drivers are the ones with the least amount of issues
