A lot of things simply can't be legally owned. Not just because they were too unpopular to get a home video release but because such a thing only exists for the most popular shows of all now.There are also people who were perfectly happy to pay for all the different streaming services but shared passwords with their family members. After the crackdowns started don't you think automation+Plex/Jellyfin starts to look attractive? The penny pinchers at these services see their numbers going up but they don't understand that they're fueling resentment and giving people another reason to pirate. If these people don't have symmetrical speeds paying for an expensive seedbox plan is still going to have a similar price compared to streaming services with their 4K multi screen plans./ptg/'s own dogma revolves around the idea that pirating should only be for free shit and that any form of paying to pirate is heresy. I've yet to figure out how to automate that so I've reached the point where I'm just too lazy to bring that hardware back up. My scripts to compile the drivers aren't even working anymore. They just error out. That's something else I had to fight all along the way. If I was going to automate it I would need to solve that first.
