I have an employee that I think is burning out. Ever since layoffs happened it seems like he's just out of it.

Since the subarrays are supposed to be continuous parts of the array, at least sorting isn't part of the solution. A naive approach would be to attempt all possible divisions of the array into k subarrays, compare the largest sum of each division and return the division with the lowest largest sum. To achieve that I'd start by creating k-1 subarrays with length 1 and a subarray that contains the remaining elements of the array. Then continue to grow the subarray k-1 while shrinking the subarray k and at every step check the sum of each subarray and save it.

I don't understand the dynamic programming solution so I'm not even going to try and explain it, the editorial by leetcode themselves explains it better than I can. It's pretty long.

Also, the optimal solution is binary search. You guess a number between the minimum and maximum of the array, then try to build the arrays such that no subarray has a sum bigger than that number, and if possible you search for a lower number and try again until you get the lowest possible answer.

I wish work started just one hour later. It's not about sleep or laziness, it's just transit. The literal first bus gets there when I am already late. I have a shitty bike and so if it has a failure, that's it, it's over, I don't have a failover, I don't have a reasonable backup plan. If I know it's fucked, yeah I can just do a death march, but the day of, if the weather is too fucked up or if something is genuinely broken, that's it.

I've already found that at -10 most of the bike fails. I can't shift, and my front rim brakes entirely fail. It's technically rideable, but not safe and not fast. What the hell do you do when you have fucked up hours but no real vehicle? Even if I had a car, what if it's a diesel and all my fuel is gel'd up?

I need to get a new job. After a three weeks vacation I finally realized how much I dread it.
I've been working as frontend webdev for 6 years and I loathe this shit. I got into this (self taught) because I thought it was the most viable option. Getting in here wasn't really a mistake, but staying that long was.
I hate modern web design and I don't like working with designers, also I don't like the unstable ecosystem and the constant circus of tooling and libraries. Not to mention AI. I think that I still enjoy programming and I want to actually get better at it instead of juggling librarys and shit every year.
After doing some market research in my area (Spain) I think that learning Java and going the backend route is my best bet.

Also, a fuckton of DevOps stuff, writing my own playbooks at this point.

But hey, pays above average in this shithole and I get 4 out of 5 workdays on remote now. Also I occasionally get sent to a random city on the country map to either install or fix shit on client's premise because we don't have an installation team. I am the installation team, pretty much, with a few other engineers - but because of the nature of the product it ain't that easy and we are all spread across the locations. So I pretty much have to perform the entire installation cycle by myself, from hardware in the racks to performance and load testing under live traffic.

One of the biggest problems with Indians is the that almost all of them come from the consulting space, and when they get hired to management spots they bring along with them decades old contacts with the executives in Indian IT shops like Infosys and Cognizant. When it comes to hiring new people, they will prefer to hide bodies from these shops as they can negotiate a contract that is far cheaper compared to hiring Americans and also the fact that they have more cultural leverage over these people. When you see an Indian contractor or h1, almost all of them come from the same state in India. It is easier for the Indian manager to work with others from this state

0s and 1s is still just binary. thats what i was looking at, something to compress even further.

so binary is a series of numbers powered by an electrical current, like ticker tape being fed - or just a motherboard for regular PCs- into the cpu, or gpu with new gpus idc, to read, spit out onto a computer screen, right?

so the mainframe could feed the binary data of this super-compressed collection of images (into the kBs) into the electricals to transfer the data. in this case its a fridge freezer motor and its output is the dissipation of heat.

the goal would be to compress "that" to store it more effectively... the cold, not binary. the less heat in the the end means all the more compression for the data, as its converting the binary -> cold...
