If you ever wanted to get into entry level AI/ rtx shit but don't want a gigafuckretarded power bill or dropping a ton of money GET A USED 3060 NOW while they're 200-250 on ebay.

>>107840217How can I check if a SSD is truly TLC or QLC without resorting to what marketing says? According to reddit there was a time when Crucial allegedly jewed out with silently going QLC on MX500 4TB?

>>107840329You can check the databasehttps://www.techpowerup.com/ssd-specs/They keep track of hardware changes.
If they did revive the 3060, would it be just pulling out existing cards in deep storage warehouses or spooling up those long-term 8nm machines to make more? Could it even be possible for them to try engineering in some new features like FP8 support on this old node just so that it can benefit from newer DLSS better?

>>107840459You can still justify (to yourself) that waitfagging is possible with the 2080 but the cutoff point will be the 60 series (4 generations). I'm getting parts to build my first PC and I'd really like to have a VGA on it the CPU I already bought has no integrated graphics so a VGA on the motherboard won't work I thought I'd get a display adaptor with VGA found some really cheap ones on ebay (one I'm looking at right now is the "ATI Rage XL 8MB") but those usually have PCI and I can't find any motherboards with the socket I need that have PCI slots. >>107842089msi's 3090s are the quietest by far. the strix's cooler is actually pretty underbuilt IMO. it feels like its made for a 300W gpu but the 3090 strix OC is allowed to pull up to 390W by default.
Just as a heads up, it seems like gpu listings on amazon are finally starting to disappear. The one I bought just a week ago is now nowhere to be found and if I click on it it just gives me a 404. Most of the alternatives at around the same price are also gone.

Have you tried DLSS4.5 on your RTX 50 series card yet? How do you feel about it?I noticed a minor quality upgrade over DLSS4, particularly in the Performance preset. But I'm not sure if the minor performance drop is worth it compared to just running DLSS4 at Quality or Balanced. This is about Oblivion Remastered at 1440p on a 5070.Please tell me about your usecases and impressions of the new model, I'm curious how it does in other games/resolutions/cards.

>>107842235Why can't you read a manual anonAlso nobody uses any of that shit anymore apart from power switch and power led
>>107842362even with manual its the most confusing partwhy isnt it just 1 usb c cable that you plug in or something

Lessons taught by pc building>If you are poor you will always suffer>If you are rich you will never suffermoral of the story, Just Don't Be Poor
>>107842462I disagree in recent years it's really just:>If you are you will suffer
>>107842462Prices randomly going 4x hurts way more if you're after highend parts
>>107842462pc building was always a poorfag hobbywhat are you doing spending time building instead of having it ordered and built by your dealer?

>>107842602On that note just figured this out like half an hour ago, you have to enable this "disable front jack detection" option in the "realtek audio manager" in order for your front audio jack to work
>>107842235you should have boughted case that comes with combined cables for easy install
>>107842619>using front panel audioShiggydiggy

>>107842540Everybody will suffer when the consumer base is an ever shrinking market of whales.IDK of any hobby thay actually got better because prices continually went up, just becomes a downward spiral. >>107842502>pc building was always a poorfag hobbyA gaming PC is genuinely quite expensive, if you go for good components anyway. Even a mid-range PC is hundreds of dollars. And it's a hobby for the young, or at least we get into it when we're young so unless you have a trust fund or sugar daddy, it's probably hard to afford on a student's disposable income.>what are you doing spending time building instead of having it ordered and built by your dealer?I won't have that kind of income until I graduate and get a job.
>get an expensive PC>enjoy shit games at max settings>get a high quality oled emuchinkheld>enjoy the best vidya of all times in the best conditionswhat a conundrum
>>107841955I've already seen people saying $400 for 32GB RAM is ackshually not a bad price
>>107842719I assure you, it's not fear, but pity.
>>107842643I have my front panel audio connected to my sound card, noob.
>>107842687It's actually not that expensive when you consider that the difference between a gaming PC and an everyday one was just the inclusion of a dGPU.We just pretend today that a PC is wholly unnecessary and you must spend alot extra on everything even outside the GPU to make it a "gaming" PCThis ends up making a gayming PC $1000+ and is looked at solely as a discretionary purchase rather than a small cost addition to what was regarded as a necessary device in the household
I'm not ashamed to say itNoctua products give me a bonerTheres something great about their engineering that gives my autistic brain a nice handy by looking at their products, accessories and packaging Austrian perfection

>CPU coolers now going up in price tooFuck off, I should buy a Phantom Spirit for later even if my Hyper 212 cools my 3700X fine. Would have got it if I didn't skip on a 5700X3D last year.
>>107842302You can set custom resolutions on the nvidia app, performance is 50% while balance is 58%, maybe try something like 54% which should give you around the exact fps and image quality you had with dlss 4.0 while keeping the ghosting, particle, volumetrics improvements, dlss 4.5 is better used on 4k though, so maybe try using DLDSR to upscale your monitor resolution to 4k and see if you like the preset L ultra performance mode, then set custom resolution to 40%-42% if you dont have enough fps on performance M
>>107842808the difference nowadays is that almost nobody besides gamers use a desktop PC. Hell, there's a large number of people who don't even have laptops and do everything on their phones.
>>107843027interdasting. I would have assumed ancillary components like case/mobo/psu/coolers/etc would start decreasing in price because the shortage on ram/gpu will bottleneck anyone looking to build a PC, so there will be all these excess coolers and power supplies and such left on shelves to get discounted.
