It's kinda funny how similar this is to drawing tablets. Wacom was the go to for hobbyists but then they started charging premium once they saw corpos were buying them in wholesale at whatever price they listed and the hobbyists started screeching and crying that they weren't thinking about the little guy and being greedy when they were just doing business as they always were. You can't blame them.
Only different is some chinks started making shitty knock offs to save the consumers. I don't know if that will happen here or not.

Thoughts on the monitor?
I'll probably cop that model if I end up getting a 32 inch one. I know it's a flagship model, but is it really worth its price?
Also I still haven't really decided yet if I'll choose a W-OLED or a QD-OLED. I'd also use the monitor for working, but I shut the curtains anyway, so the mirroring effect of the QD throughout the day should not be that bad and I'd use it for gayming only when it's nighttime.

Unironically the 50 series is just a massive win in terms of AI workloads, nvfp4 was so good that both the 5060 ti and 5070 ti can run large models that you would need 72gb to run on AyMD cards which is why the 5070 ti 16b or 5060 16gb cards are going out as labs and researchers are just using them over workstation cards for inference, now gamers in the other hand? they love them too, 5070 is the best card ever in terms of steamchart numbers,

>>
>>107871664
DLSS 4.5 now at 4k make performance mode really good (better than fsr 4.0 qualioty) So if you are willing to take the more agressive resolution scaling option you'll get a similar performance to what a 5080 was getting at 4k balance with a similar quality image, no RR so far for DLSS 4.5 though so thats a big question mark about it, but at least on this resolution and if you are willing to use performance mode, each card become 20-30% depending if you are using preset L or K at 4k performance (L is heavier) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXAYR-ZtbH4

Nvidia is only giving VRAM to the highest tier card in that allocation
If the card is not the highest in that tier it will never be restocked NVIDIA is not even sending out the GPU to it any more and will never allocate it VRAM for this point on it is End of Life

question about cpu USB connections.
I'm gonna buy a 5500x3d which states it has USB native 3.2 gen 2 (4 ports ), 2 Native SATA Ports & PCIe 4.0.

However, my old b350 mobo only has: 2x 3.1 gen2 USB, the rest 4x 3.1 gen 1 USB, 4 SATA ports and a PCIe 3.0 for the GPU.
My question is Would the CPU be able to run the two 3.1 gen 2 USBs as fast as they can or would they get fucked and run as 2.0? People told me that PCIe versions don't lower performance as much so my 3060 won't suffer too much.

>>
>>107871748
i'm not an expert, anon, but i'm pretty sure you need one of those to plug your card into the board, so it's kind of the exact opposite of a deal-breaker
>>
>>107872232
Short answer: **yes, it can be safe as a *temporary* setup**, **if** you’re careful and your overall system power draw stays within limits — but it’s not risk-free.

Here’s how to think about it.

---

## The math (rough but useful)

* **RTX 5090 power-limited to 400W**
* Typical high-end CPU (gaming load): **120–200W**
* Rest of system (motherboard, RAM, SSDs, fans, etc.): **50–80W**

That puts you around **570–680W under heavy load**, which *technically* fits within a **quality 750W Gold PSU**.

So **on paper**, this can work.

---

## The real risks (important)

### 1. Transient power spikes

Even with a 400W limit, modern GPUs can briefly spike **well above their limit** (milliseconds).
RTX 40-series already did this; 5090s are expected to be **no better**.

A **good Tier-A PSU** usually handles spikes, but:

* Older designs
* Lower-quality internal components
* Marginal 12V rail capacity

…can still trip OCP or shut down.

---

### 2. CPU + GPU simultaneous load

The danger zone is:

* Gaming + background CPU load
* Rendering
* Shader compilation
* Stress tests

If both CPU and GPU pull hard at the same time, you’re closer to the PSU’s edge.

---

### 3. Connector & cable safety

If you’re using:

* **12VHPWR / 12V-2×6**
make absolutely sure:
* Cable is **fully seated**
* No tight bends near the connector
* Prefer **native PSU cable**, not adapters

This matters *more* on lower-wattage PSUs.

---

## How to make it as safe as possible (recommended)

**Undervolt the GPU**, not just power-limit
(You can often get ~90–95% performance at much lower transient spikes)

**Avoid CPU stress tests** during this period
No Prime95 + GPU load combos

**Cap FPS** (RTSS / in-game limiter)
Reduces power spikes dramatically

**Monitor power draw**

* GPU board power
* CPU package power
* Watch for PSU fan ramping hard or shutdowns

**Short duration only**
Days or a couple of weeks is fine.
Months? Not ideal.

Replying to myself:
I checked and PNY official supplier in Europe is PNY Technologies Europe, based in France. I'll try and email both the online reseller and PNY Tech Yurop to know if these stocks really exist or if it's game over man, game over.

Exciting time lads, I might make it to 2028 cruising or not, all depending on the coming few days.

It's been three months since BF6 came out and this still keeps happening on Nvidia gpus and Nvidia gpus only. Gamer's aren't sure what the issue is but suspect Nvidia's poor drivers.

Still seething over this video nvidijeet? It only took a few months of driver + windows updates for 9070 XT to become better than 5070 ti

So all this shit storm was because a YouTuber said something? Come on guys.

>Seen a few outlets misinterpreting our latest video.
>To clarify, Asus did not tell us that Nvidia said the RTX 5070 Ti has been discontinued. Asus told us there is very little supply of the 5070 Ti, so their own 5070 Ti products (eg the Prime and TUF Gaming) have been put into end of life status.

Nvidia is clearly making perfect chips and saving them for Supers down the line when memory problems alleviate, though that is an if.

https://www.dsogaming.com/articles/heres-what-happened-to-the-12vhpwr-power-cable-of-our-nvidia-rtx-4090-after-two-years-of-continuous-work/
This is what a 4090 did to it's connector after two years of usage, you can image it will be even worse for 5090 drawing even more power. 12vhpr is a disaster and all 5090s that see regular use will end up in the trash in less than 3 years.

Next he'll clarify that it's only asus australia that is putting those model at end of life status and global supply is managed differently, he did the same when he had to clarify why you cant find a single 9070 xt, 9070 or 9060 xt on the steam hardware survey after claiming that RDNA4 had outsold blackwell for months

if anyone is in fear of the conector melting, just cut off the sleeve and expose the wires to the case air flow.
putting a dozen high current wires inside a cable sleve is an electrical crime. In building installations that would derate the cable by like 30%, and here its just for looks

Can anyone help? My new msi ventus 5070 keeps getting driver timeouts after an hour or two playing any intensive game. I already tried DDU, and then taking out the gpu and reseating it when that didn't work. Do I really have to do RMA? I just wanted to play vidya with my new gpu, on the verge of tears.

̶u̶s̶e̶ ̶c̶a̶s̶e̶ game you need the 5070ti for?
You can lower the graphic settings you know? It ain't like you will be seeing 8k textures in every NPCs besides ones you want to fuck.

If you are gonna panic buy do it at least for the 5090 so that you can hold for another 5 years unless GTA6 forces us to go back to SLI 2x 5090. for 60fps at 4k

Yes, the point is that whenever too many bad news for AMD happen their channel usually tank (90% of their views come from AYYmd redditors) so they needed to spin some wins so these redditors don't check out of the techtubers farms, HUB is notorious for this, literally his video benchmarks DLSS 4.5 on quality even though nvidia expressesly told them that the model is meant that preset was meant for performance mode.
