GOOD MARNING SAARS
>just of info, version X and version Y are similarly. it is more version change for PROD deployment-senior principal architectWhat the FUCK does that mean
>>107878013Everytime I think I'm not, I see someone else doing something I learned through trial and error years ago and stop feeling any which way.> Never had a job in the industry> Had a single legit contract, made only $3k, got from a friend> Only other experiences coding for others is crypto relatedMaybe I'll slip into some role through connections working for some corporation, but I make $23/hr working at the weed factory rn. I'm married with a cheap mortgage ($1050/mo) so I'll just keep computing as a pass-time activity :)> Learning to appraise the quality of my life not based on a career, but also not in a NEET way
>>107878013This is a good image. "Imposter syndrome" was something I learned about while doing my phd in mathematics 20 years ago, you'd have people graduate who seriously thought they didn't know anything, it would take a few years working in the real world to realize how more qualified they are at their jobs than other people. However people that are actually unqualified have latched on to this phrase to explain away the idea that they actually do need to put in some sweat to skillup.
>>107878105>but I make $23/hr workingI don't get how people survive on this.
I sold my soul to a corporation as a freelancer. What can I expect? Will I be fucked if I can't deliver what we agreed upon? I honestly don't care I have some kind of insurance that should cover something up to 1 million dollars but that's it. YOLO
>>107878289If you feel you are being adequately compensated then being a freelancer has huge advantages over being a salaried employee. When you're contracting, you can generally do your own projects outside of work and own them fully. When you're salaried, your company owns a lot of what you produce outside of work too. It kills any incentive for side projects that might spin up into a second income stream.
>>107878198I make €15/hour
>>107878462I make 18€/h after taxes as a QA subhuman
>>107878503I’m a fully onsite sysadmin monkey with no agency. I just have to do what the jeets decide and clean up after them. It’s just a tech janny job so it makes sense it’s min wage
>>107878525Minimum wage is 12€ here
>>107878462Yeah but you live in europe where life is nice. americans need to be paid more because they have to deal with americans all day
>>107878013You don't have to be good to have imposter syndrome.
>>107878620It's not impostor syndrome if you're an actual impostor
>>107878576> you live in europe where life is nice2015 called>they have to deal with americans all dayMy entire life is having to deal with lardsI open my work laptop made by a lard company running LardOS that fucks me in the ass wherever it can. Then a jeet that was hired through lard corpo outsourcing strategies presses a button and ruins my whole week. I go home for the day to open lardchan filled with leadbrained zoomers and LGBT creatures (another lard invention that has infected every euro country). I try to play a game made in the past 10 years and its been handcrafted to appeal to the lard demographic. I cant engage with any community revolving my hobbies without being swept away by a tsunami of lard. I go to bed and I’m kept awake by niggers setting off fireworks at 2am on a workday who suffer no consequences from his actions because George Floyd taught niggers in europe they can dearm law enforcement entirely and turn my country into a place where your position in society as a non nigger is working min wage tech janny while being taxed to death for a social system that only benefits the niggers setting off fireworks at 2am, or people with terminal costly illnessesSo no living in America is no different except you actually get more money for some reason
>>107878198It's easy> Don't live where you live> Don't live how you liveMy entire cost of living is not even 2/3rds my personal income. I'm also married without children, she also brings in an income. My house went up in value ~43% since 2021. Goal is to sell and use profits to outright buy a smaller house, and only pay tax, utils, other basic bills. > Then I'll have more free time to simply enjoy lifeFuck the chase of the dollar kek
>just spent another $200 on hardware for a personal server that i've dedicated to testing the deployment, security, capabilities and limitations of a production stackOnly one coworker is aware of its existence. I hope my boss gives me a raise so i can buy more cool shit
>>107878683I'll never understand people who do this in their free timeplay a video game or some shit ,femboy
>>107878635>I'm also married without childrenThat's not a choice, that's a failure.
>>107878626Sure it is.Impostor syndrome is self diagnosed. Of course, it only exists while you are not aware that you are actually not qualified for the job. Once you are aware of it, then it's no longer impostor syndrome.
>>107878739If you make 23 an hour and don't care about being better, not reproducing is the correct choice. We don't need more golems in this world that might think they matter and develop retarded fifth column opinions regarding the redistribution of wealth
>>107878809Ironically, it's precisely the kind of people who don't want children who are people who indeed shouldn't have children, though not due to their want, but due to society's want of getting such people out of the gene pool.
>>107878699>I'll never understand people who do this in their free timewdym?I also program in my free time for personal use. I think a venn diagram of what i do for work and fun is a near perfect circle
>>107878013is there something more soul crushing than having to write confluence docs?Thank fuck we have ai and shit, other wise I would blow my brains out
>>107878503Where do you live? I feel like 18€/h net is pretty good for Eastern / Central EU.
Just seen >Company has downloaded your resumeOn LinkedIn Normally I only see >Company has viewed your applicationDo they show different things? Does viewing only show my LI profile?
>>107878013imposter syndrome makes you unmotivated to achieve anything, you give up before trying
i'm glad i'm a genius 10x dev so i never have to worry about imposter syndrome

>>107878739if you can do something but chose not to, then it's a choice
>>107878441>If you feel you are being adequately compensated then being a freelancer has huge advantages over being a salaried employeeThat's the only reason I accepted this offer. Huge risks but also huge rewards. I'll be making $15 000 a month working like 4 days a week but I'm also responsible for myself and my mistakes. Imagine, eternal virgin incel chud making that much and still staying a virgin because I'm fucking autistic.
>>107879088>Jerking each other off to something no one saidNeeding to wait for someone to let explicitly define their argument when it is implicitly obviously what they are saying is peak reddit ackshually gotchaism and if that's something you miss so much feel free to go back.

>>107878013I always ask, did people like the game because the team did a better job than me or was my hard work that helped carry the game to success. I scream because I don’t know.
