buying used be quiet! pure power 11 fm 850W for $80 yay or nay? i have pure power 11 but the fan bearing is noisy otherwise it's really fucking quiet and i love iti'd rather avoid spending money, i have rx 6600
>>107894503Those are all true facts. The nvidia cards that aren't discontinued are still listed for those that don't care or need cuda, it's just a warning
>>107894521But neither of those are discontinued. Why are you putting lies in the OP.
>>107894485If modern cases typically come with 2 rear SSD mounts, why the fug do SATA power cables only have 1 straight connector and the rest of them are T connectors that clearly can't bend

FUCK. The 10 and 12 core Bartlett Lake cpu's are coming but will have no consumer release and no Bios support for consumer MB's. Fucking hell I have been waiting for over year for it. And decided not to upgrade to AM5 since I already have an LGA 1700 board. I missed a ram upgrade I was going to do because of waiting.Fuck you Intel. Seriously fuck you. I was loyal with AMD until I went with LGA 1700 instead of AM5 back in 2022. I bought AMD during the FX years and decided to give you the chance. And you fuck me like this instead. Never again. Should have never abandoned AMD. I guess I deserve that for betraying AMD.

so done with these fucking driver issues on my 5070 ti. i was in the middle of typing up a shitpost dunking on the AMDrones ITT when my screen went black and I had to turn my whole pc off. im rmaing and switching to 9070 xt fuck it idc anymore.

>>107894570A used 850 PSU for $80? Yeah no. That's not even good price. You cna get an 850W gold rated PSU for $80 on Black Friday's (psu's have great sales on Black Friday's). And besides right now for $75 you can get a Rosewill VMG 850W 80 plus Gold PSU.Unless you know the guy selling the PSU, and you know the history of the system don't buy used.
>>107894626I wondered what this "nicotroon" business was all about for a while but after last thread yeah holy shit that is some proper spam.

>>107894619No I'm just pissed. I bought LGA 1700 late 2022 instead of AM5. The Z790 motherboard also cost the same as a X670 board would have cost. But I went with Intel because I got a 12th gen i5 with the idea I would upgrade to a high end CPU later and AM5 didn't have good budget options at the time.Well the 13th and 14th gen i7's or i9's aren't options because they like to self destruct. And I'm not gonna waste money on a 12900KS. This was my hope that I could get something good. But intel decides to screw customers. Never again.

thoughts on the msi mag coreliquid a13? this chart on gamersnexushttps://gamersnexus.net/u/styles/large_responsive_no_watermark_/public/inline-images/vlcsnap-2025-12-02-13h06m30s854.jpg.webpshows it with good performance, seems pretty good for the price. am i missing something?
>>107894985>thoughtsWhy waste the space when you could put in more fans
>>107894990>msi mag coreliquid a13i don't think a 240 aio is worth buying
>>107894993i could use velcro for more fans, but i think a screen would be cooler. i could put a gif of fans on the screen too.
>phone fell on my desk>monitor disconnectsFFS
>>107895002Depends. I'm paranoid about heat. This is a 5700x3d rig. I always overcool.
>>107895018how?
>>107895028Well I don’t think there’s much variation in performance with 240 aios. Just get it if you like it. Make sure there’s no compatibility issues with your mobo or case though.
>>107895002it's 360mm. i'm gonna have a 5090 in it so i want it to be as cool as possible. the 5090 has an extra fan (4th one, placed above the card), so if i don't use an aio, it's gonna cut the air that would go toward the cpu cooler. i can avoid using the 4th fan but i think using an aio and the 4th fan on the gpu makes sense
>>107895045No, I'm NTA. Just saying a 240 has it's uses. Sometimes it's required, sometimes just wanted for a little security. Honestly, with that case, a 240 was the limit. I would have gone 360 if it fit. Realistically, going air would have worked.
>>107894974
>5080>9800X3D>some cooler>32GB RAM>2TB SSD>some x870 mobo>1000W PSU>some really cheap casethat's it. that's the build i hope will last me a few years. fuck it.

>>107895037no idea, maybe it jumbled a the port. tho it could be driver related issues creeping up again. I had to update an AMD driver earlier cause I was repeatedly getting "no signal" the past couple days and when my monitor did turn on the audio and graphics card weren't detected

Do I build first outside the case or in the case?Feels like I should post a survey link
>>107895200Install CPU, ram, and NVMe drives. Optionally, if you're air cooling, install that. Then. drop it into the case. Use the mobo box to work on.
>>107895071Nah if he’s just gayming he’s fineand depending on the the genre or types of game he plays, 16 might be more than enough, not everyone plays cyberpunk after all

>>107895243Maybe nicotroon is still in the chat. xi would know.
>>107895213Install case fans I assume before I drop in the mobo? Also should I test while it's outside the case (memory etc) or wait to put inside the case bc of active airflow?
Is Noctua's pumpless AIO vaporware?
>>107895113kind old though i was thinking i should get something with atx 3.1
>>107895274Depends on the case. The rear exhaust fans is usually last since it'll get in the way of the motherboard dropping in. Front fans if it has them *usually* can be done first but again depends on the size. Basically, you want a clear path to install the mobo. Now, if you're using an AIO... ME? I install that after the mobo is in, everything else is wired up and before the GPU.
>>107895309I'm using air cooler. Case will have front and top fans too. 140mm
>>107895294Why release when no one is going to be building PCs very often this year? It's COVID for computersPlus it might eat into it's G2 recent release
>>107895327Yeah, set the motherboard up, drop it in, then any fans you didn't install... like I said, front fans you can do early if there's plenty of room between them and the motherboard, wire it all up, then do the top fans... and as always, do the GPU last. The PSU, I like to plug in all the cables I'll need, THEN install into the back of the case, and after the mobo is in, fish them through and connect. Last LAST thing is cable management. Remember- do not put the side covers on before you first fire it up, or it will not POST.
