Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.

i was curious what that PCB cleaning fluid actually was and uhh... i think you bought the wrong product.
i don't even know what this is for, you can just buy rubbing alcohol for cheap at a local pharmacy or something instead if you just wanted to clean flux.
as for the guy commenting on you buying solder paste, that stuff is mostly used for ball grid array surface mount chip repair. there's nothing stopping you from using it to just repair a regular connection with it but you could have just bought a cheap spool of wire to do it instead since solder paste is way more expensive than wire. you can just put a glob of it on a connection and touch your iron to it.

Have the chinks made any cheap but usable thermal cameras yet?
>>
Watching YouTube videos about FM transmitters has sent me down a rabbit hole that could end up starting my next great chink shit adventure.

https://youtu.be/EB-AheEHKl0?t=802

This thing he has found seems to be exactly what I am looking for. I want a decent yet cheap FM transmitter with MPX input. The idea is that I will do all my audio processing with Breakaway Broadcast. I'd like to set up a pirate radio station in a secluded site with an old PC running Windows 7 (not connected to the internet of course) playing music running off solar power/batteries. So I'd need the PC to have a 192khz sound card and not consume much power.
>>
>>107938265
Just so it's clear in the video he's not recommending the transmitter being reviewed, he went off on a tangent about some other thing and started to show it off.
>>
>>107938265
chinks cant into radio equipment
they make fun toy radios like baofengs and quanshengs but thats about it

and why bother with any of this? if you want cheap, all of this has been solved by sdr in the form of hackrf clones
>>
>>107939476
Well it shouldn't be that complicated to make a decent exciter, and as he got at in the video it seems that's what they did:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007567535154.html

Normally where all the chink FM transmitters go wrong beyond all the spurious output is the sound quality. They are not made for professionals so the stereo encoder is built in (and sucks) and you don't get MPX input.

Now it does seem like this could be a possibility with something like a HackRF and there has been one mention of it:

https://hackrf-dev.greatscottgadgets.narkive.com/lTPPzvrv/fm-modulating-external-mpx-signal

But not a lot of actual info on how to actually get it done. The reason why I would bother is proof of concept and fun more than anything. If I can make something that sounds better than professional FM stations I commonly hear on the most pathetic budget ever that would be a source of pride. But beyond the exciter I'd need an amplifier and probably a filter to clean up the output from the amplifier.

>>
>>107939732
I'm autistic to the point that I can't do 12 hour watches, but for some reason only raketa makes halfway decent movements and they're not cheap. Why hasn't chang copied that? I know there would be at least a few half dozen sales.
>>
>>107939754
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005010686000996.html

They have you covered for analog TV, should be easy enough to get FM going too. If your goal is only to cover your house you don't need a super powerful transmitter. I used to pull it off with the $1 ones. I stuck one in the back window of my house before and it was heard in every room. I used to also listen to it while I was sitting at the bus stop quite far away (but line of sight) waiting to go to work.

It's literally just another gear. They don't make them commonly because they're low demand. The chinks put seiko, miyota, and seagull movements in everything as well as pt5000/sw200 eta clones. None of them make a 24 hour movement. You can get vostoks (russian watches) with it under $200 though.

bc they only make sense in the polar regions, space or some other weird situations in which you dont have a reference of the day-night, so you cannot know for sure which time is it just with a 12 hour clock
and nowadays we have digitals
>>
>>107940185
Or just generally military. That said plenty of cheap chronos have a 24 hour slave subdial for that purpose. Anything with a vk63 movement will have a 24 hour subdial
>>
>>107940217
I wish they would add a gear to the seagulls like this to at least make the lower subdial 24 hour as the vanity mirrored one to the regular hour hand is attrocious. Seagull really should make this a thing like the vk63 on the ST19, just add a small gear and call it the ST19-24

The bezel was originally a thing for divers. it's meant to rotate only one direction and mark the minutes of remaining air.
It's since become a feature stable and its original use is questionable at best. A lot of divers I know (all three of them) still use it besides having their more modern computers.

https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-blog/watch-101/dive-watches-use-rotating-bezel.html
It's almost friday and I had a liquid lunch at the office. the one way rotation is so that it can only reduce the dive time rather than accidentally go above where it was set.
ABC watches can use the bezel to maintain a heading, but that's a level of autism I'd rather not get into atm.

FiiO original earpads upgrade, supposedly real lambskin.
Left - stock FT1 Pro hybrids, Right - replacement.
Looks legit, obvious fakes are missing the small FT1 logo on the rims and/or use the same smooth plastic "leather" for main surfaces as on the rims.
Feels legit, leathery, but internally more stiff foam than originals.
Smells like chinese factory.
Sounds less different than expected, only a bit boomier but less punchy bass, surprisingly seems to be mostly caused by stiff foam affecting fit and seal rather than leather reflections, manually pressing on earcups changes sound to be closer to stock. Will make a better review after a couple more pads arrive and I wear them in some more.

Any way I can check how real is this totally real leather, other than destructive tests like cutting or burning?

holy autism... not to be rude but surely a wireless charger would be much less jank than having this thing at the bottom of your phone 24/7?
Not to mention this shape causes a lot of mechanical wear on the port. Even a small lateral force on either end of the port causes huge torque on the phone port.

A wireless charged would allow you to attach an adapter to your headphones instead.
Then your phone is free of adapters, and you can just plug in your headphones when you want to use them. The adapter can stay on the headphones 24/7.
>I'll still have to keep removing the dongle to use my phone speakers, no?
I never used one, but I don't see the difference between plugging in your headphones normally and plugging in "the dongle that's on your headphones".
Note that this dongle has a flexible cable, which is much better for preventing wear on the port than the stiff one in your pic.

The watch is a tool. In fact I consider the clothing I choose to be tools. They're just decorative tools. All the major types of mens clothing has a function and purpose for their design. Many come from sports, from jobs, from military applications. The henley is a rowing shirt and meant to give more airflow when hot and button back up when cold. The polo is a tennis shirt designed for the collar to be popped to keep your neck from being sunburned. The trucker jacket is as implied and is denim for durability when unloading or working on engines. Pretty much everything has a function in menswear. Even the suit is just an offshoot of military garments and the tie comes from mercenaries. But pure jewelry is functionless and womanly.

at least somewhat of a better answer, except suit has no use like a military uniform, which should be more like camouflage. unless you're implying that the function is to be homogenous, subservient and not stand out, which then would be correct.
>womanly
no such thing. only womanly thing in the world is giving birth. everything else are just things.
your perceptions are shaped by people that want to sell you things, and people telling you what to wear. but anyone can like and wear anything.
theres no reason for the backwards gender conformism logic.

a woman who's working a job which requires functional clothing would wear the same functional clothing a man does.
no reason why it can't also work in reverse, where function isn't needed. aka most of your life.

I mean I'm not a suit person. I wear fjallraven cargo pants and 8.1oz flannel or a brushed chamois with an appropriate jacket for the weather whether it be a 3 layer breathable rain jacket, a lined duck canvas, a windbreaker anorack, or a fleece lined 3 layer jacket. Again I like tool clothes. I have a wool cardigan, a fleece jacket and a cotton quarter zip for layering again depending on the weather. And I have linen and cotton camp collars again dependent on the weather and practical application. I have a cheap grey suit for when I have to wear one and a cotton travel blazer for business casual and two pairs of chinos for usage with it. The travel blazer has pockets for my pen and sunglasses or reading glasses. I buy medium to high quality tool clothes. My favorite brands are ll bean, pendleton, filson, flint and tinder, duluth. My next purchase will be to round out my summer clothes and will be some blucher mocs ideal for travel that can be resoled indefinitely.
>>
>>107951021
sounds nice. I never heard of any of those I should look them up.
I like some function in clothes too. though I end up just carrying some sort of bag anyway cause there's not enough space eitherway. and mostly comfort. like I like thigh highs and leg warmers and hand warmers first and foremost cause of comfort and function, and turtlenecks are also nice in winter. a breathable ventilated rain jacket would be a dream for me. they are either expensive or bad quality though, which is unfortunate. not sure why having a couple zippers added to the sides increases the price by 10 times, and all the "membrane" fabrics are a scam..
maybe I should get into clothes making. I have so many ideas both for function and for looks that no one does for some reason even though they seem obvious. it feels like these things are designed by people that don't actually wear them themselves. or want to conform to some fashion that's established. underwear is another thing that's difficult both function and looks wise. function is rare and women have a lot nicer visual designs. I've posted a bunch of ventilated ones here before that I will keep shilling because the comfort is like nothing else I've tried.

I'm married and I have to say women's clothing is horrible. I go to buy her things and everything is lower quality at normal stores. Like even at the GAP, the mens denim jacket is probably around 14oz denim, I mean it's pretty heavy. Go to the womens section and it's like 7oz or less trash. I got my rain jacket on clearance at eddie bauer, they're closing brick and mortars across the country. It was $75 and does have pit vents and packs into it's own pocket. Eddie bauer in general is a little inferior to other outdoor focused brands but this was their top of the line one that was normally like $190 or something. I don't appreciate paying a lot for plastic clothes in general. Also LL Bean, they'll have nice sweaters for men and then in the womens section they fucking add retarded synthetic materials to everything for the same price.

>>
>>107951189
When you do this it completely destroys the breathability. When it comes to technical outdoor clothing you're paying for this and it will be synthetic. The jacket is breathable while being waterproof. It also has ykk zippers with a rubber sheath all the way down it to reduce even leakage at the zippers. Another alternative you can do aside from wax is use silicone. The same 100% silicone as you would put in a calking gun. You dilute it with mineral spirits and paint it onto any fabric and it waterproofs it with silicon instead of wax which also will not breathe, but it also will not alter the color and will not need rewaxing. Motorcyclists use this trick to waterproof their gear for cold rain.

>>107951172
if I'm finding the right ones they just look like those shorts-kind that's considered normal, but they have an entirely too long legs that would ride up and roll up for me, and I'm betting probably the issue of many mens underwear, which is having a weird diaper ass that doesn't actually conform to the shape of your ass, which is not comfortable.

>>107951210
its not possible to have it both waterproof and breathable unless you use vents and zips, because all the cancer filled high tech fabrics completely loses effectiveness when wet on the outside, as well as when outside humidity is higher or equal to inside, and these fabrics are insanely overpriced and filled with unspeakable chemicals, when adding a couple of zippers to a plastic jacket would cost pennies. its dumb.

>>107951219
I've tried many different kind of rain gear over past several years cause I cycle, and I found that everything is sweaty. if you don't have copious ventilation at proper angles you will be suffering and need to carry a spare set of clothes. but its better than overpriced *tex that will be sweaty and expensive anyway

The way they work is by using a membrane that is small enough for gases to pass but not liquid. The surface tension is what keeps it working. Think of something like jello sitting on top of a screen door mesh. It's this except much smaller. You have to pay more for this and you probably haven't had one that does this. Cheap rain gear is just a sheet of plastic that will not breathe.

The thing is you often wear the jacket when it is not raining and you do want the breathability. That's true but you still have jacket that is both watherproof while it's raining and makes you sweat less when it's dry so basically two jackets in one.
>>
>>107951871

But I can do that on top of the fabrics breathability and the pit vents. Honestly though I bought it for travel because it packs down into its own pocket, doesn't look like shit, is loose enough to just use as a light shell with a flannel and sweater under it, and isn't so hot I couldn't wear it in a summer storm. I like to just carry on. Ideally I will buy a good carry on suitcase and find a ~30L replacement backpack that will still fit under a plane seat to get rid of the 20L fucking purse I have now. Don't get me wrong the bag is nice, it's just so fucking small and I'm 6'2 and it really does look like a purse.

>CHINESE RAM WILL CAUSE PRICES TO GO DOWN!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jevons_paradox

I know you (>>107954956) are already aware that the prices won't go down, but Jevons paradox is why that is. Supply goes up to meet demand, and demand in turn rises to meet the supply and you never get ahead. While Jevons paradox doesn't apply to most things (long-term) it has a chance of doing so here given that every single tech company on the planet isn't even considering the option of turning down their RAM consumption. I don't mean by 2030, I mean ever. They will constantly burn through their RAM (you can find stats on data center churn for different parts if you look), and they will need to replace that RAM while also acquiring additional RAM for their new data centers. Sorry, my dudes, this is reality until the bottom falls out and when that happens you have a lot worse things to keep in mind. Like, your job, how you're going to pay for food, when will you be homeless? Those things.

Those things.
anon do you know that the memory companies are not planing to make new factories? they dont count the bubble to last even a fucking ram gen

Is ATK R1 Pro still the default mouse recommendation for poorfags? I'm looking into some similarly priced Redragon options too, but they don't seem to be as widely reviewed as R1 Pro.

Also I'm trying to find out whether this store is legit or if they are selling a fake R1 Pro, because when switching to my shithole, R1 Pro from here costs literally half of pretty much any other store.

Depends
You want something that looks exactly like a joycon? All the bootlegs are shit.
You just want a controller that attaches like joycons? There are a few options. Mobapad M6, coiorvis or easysmx if you want it cheaper.
Note that mobapad's HD rumble is broken so don't actually spend extra on that.

What’s up with the reverse profile of the 0? What’s that review about? Only the keycaps (so might be user error, but still, that nub on the 5 and the revers 0 are weird, or are those the numpad ones?) or the whole keyboard? In that case, that’s hilarious, unless that’s some ergo Dvoratard layout I’ve never heard of.

Don't feel bad. Day 99 is probably going to be like "invite 5 new members to Aliexpress" or "make a purchase over $60", and on top of that they're counting on people to be unable to exchange the gems because of time zones, and especially since you have an influx of people who are looking to cash them in.
Take solace in the fact that very few people are going to be able to complete it.

Looking for DIY LIPO charge/discharge PCBs with PD 18W+. With step-up boost.
I'm interested in both smaller, basic ones 18-30W for general use with phones, but it should be step-up boost so 1S (Only one 3.7v battery)

and more powerful 65-100W ones for use with laptop (I understand they will need to be 2-3S, but then they should have balanced charging...

I can only find one 18W PD, all 20-100W boards have no boost (they need 20V+ input) Any tips?

it will largely depend on what version you buy (how many kw and how large it is), and what power setting you are using on it.
it is very economic to heat up a space that has been cold from a very long time (eg, quickly heating up the garage after returning form vacations in the winter time, once hot the floor radiant heat can keep it warm)
i got one a few years ago
https://desuarchive.org/g/thread/88093660/#88123766
(second part/post has some info on fuel consumption, i cant tell you now, since ive never spent any time doing any more calculations, ive strapped a large tank to it, and fill it up quite rarely, since i dont use it regularly)
i never did try anything other than straight diesel on it. saw many videos on the carbon deposits left on the chamber from burning oil mixtures and shit, and decided to abandon the idea, but if you dont mind claining it every once in a while go for it, its quite simple really. ive never had to clean it from using just diesel on it.
just make sure that you put the muffler on the outside of the living spaces (it has a small hole to let condensation out).
last time i wanted to tinker with it, i was about to try and harvest more heat from the exhaust using a air-to-air intercooler or something along those lines (it would generate far more condensation on the exhaust so i ended up not doing anything, jej)

I ordered a bunch of choice stuff the 27th (december) and it is still stuck in transit at airport
at this point I am convinced it will be lost/returned
meanwhile some stuff I ordered a few days ago is already awaiting flight/leaving origin country

it may be that one of the items was a thermometer that might have a shitty button-battery in it and the seller fucked up by not shipping it separately and now the airlines are refusing it and it will end up being put on a boat or something
>>
>>107977793
excellent effortpoast
they seem to be pretty favorable with everybody. at $60 its probably worth getting just to try out and see if it will heat where i want
