The baker used a flame war instigating image again as usual to spread misinformation and to try and make Apple look bad. Embarrassing and it shows how everything said here >>108010142 is true. It never works though since the OP is making everything up.

Not even Chink OEMs copied Liquid Ass 1:1. They definitely did copy it (t. OP 13 user) but all the effects are dialed way the fuck back and are only in select areas as opposed to absolutely everywhere like iOS. I actually kind of like it.
>>
>>108123595
That's not true my OnePlus 15 literally has a dynamic Island rip off with the small notifications that iOS 26 shows in the dynamic Island and when you unlock the phone it 100% has liquid glass numerical lock bubbles. When you swipe down to get the notifications for volume and screen brightness and everything else it looks just like iOS.
>>
>>108123713
Well yeah, of course Chinks are still duping Apple. I'm just saying they didn't go the usual route of copying all the Liquid Glass elements 1:1 like with the dynamic island and just about everything else. Compared to iOS, the glass elements/effects in OOS and every other Chink skin I've seen are pared way back.
>>
>>108122145
Hope they enjoy OneUI 8.5 or whatever they are calling it, it'll be a clone of iOS 26.

iOS 26 is perfectly fine

props to xiaomi, vivo and huawei for what they achieved photo-wise, it's just a shame they overprocess it all with AI cause that's what the asian market likes.

I live in Australia and the A5x and A3x are just overpriced for what you are getting if we are going the prices in the stores. Keeping in mind that with this current generation of A series phones you get 6 years of updates, at least with the A36 and A56. And of course Samsung has the best UI and software on Android at least. You can however buy the international versions of these phone for a couple hundred less. So they are not a bad choice if the average consumer like you or me.

That said, I think mid-rangers, like the A3x/A5x, can be good if had for a nice discount. Though I still think if you can afford it a flagship phone is best. There just isn't a huge price difference between a $500 and $1400 phone. Yes $700 (AUD) is a lot of money but at this price range you get 6 to 7 years of updates. And unlike midrangers which always have some compromises because otherwise they wouldn't be midrangers flagship phones have everything. No virtual proximity BS, full featured software, powerful future proof SOCs, very fast storage (usually the latest speeds), latest BT/WiFi standards, better build quality and IP rating (and overall general durability is much higher), good cameras (like autofocus on the selfie camera). You don't have to buy an S25 Ultra or Pixel 10 Pro. But the S25 or Pixel 10 is still a better bet for you. And in Australia the S25 was on sale for $950 at one point. Incredible value, and you'll have a good phone for the next 7 years.

Either you're lying or have really horrible reading comprehension.
No one credible ever leaked what you said.
MajinBu leaked that the iPhone 18 will move the front facing camera to the top left corner and will have a smaller dynamic island. They also said the iPhone 20 Pro Max (the 20th anniversary model) is the one with no visible front facing camera.
This same leaker has been right about leaks since the iPhone 14 since they know people working in the Chinese factory. Same person also leaked the iPhone Air.

No one's really supported the A5x series since the A52s. When the A53 came out with Exynos, everyone bought the FE series instead. There was a resurgence in support for the A55 but generally they've been overpriced for the spec and outcompeted by phones in the same category like the Pixel A series.

Your opinions are not facts. They changed the design and relocated the antenna and did much more. You can easily spend 30 seconds of reading to find out the further changes. To claim it's the same is incorrect and to claim the changes are miniscule is also your opinion. The fact stands they changed the iPhones and redesigned them and Samsung did nothing with the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra besides the privacy screen feature.

I bought an iPhone for the first time and it seems rather primitive.

I can't even turn off vibration for notifications but still have haptic feedback for various functions. There's not even vibration settings per app, for example in Whatsapp.
Apparently the only way to stop an app from vibrating is to mute its notifications entirely.

I also get notifications for stuff like reminders and there's no immediat e option to reschedule for later like on Google Tasks in Android.
I get emails or Whatsapps and there's no option to "mark as read" from the notification.

How is this so bad?

I'll never get the argument that smartphones are boring now and that's bad. It's a tool, you buy one that fits your needs (calls and texting, camera and videography, gaming, content consumption, work, etc) and change it out when it's economically unviable to repair yourself. Why does every new device need to have some new wow factor?

Personally I think the clicks will be better for the sole reason of having a 3.5mm jack and an sd card slot, plus, having a single camera in that small inner space is better than cramming three cameras that look like shit.
I have already placed a reservation.

I'm loving OneUI 8.0 and it's customization, which is intuitive, but allows for tons of freedom, especially with Good Lock, it's making me like my overheating and battery draining Galaxy A25 a little more, though I still wish it'd get something other than Exynos, and those 6000/7000mAh batteries the M series used to get, I hope 8.0 is better than 7.0 there at least.

So I definitely need to buy a new phone (current one is very old). I also happen to have a trip to Asia planned for this year. Should I just buy a phone while I'm there, or should I just buy one now?

>live in North America
>don't care about warranty or customer support
>have heard that the same model names can house different hardware depending on the country
>yes, I'll confirm compatibility before purchasing
>trip tentatively starts in Hong Kong, but my schedule is so flexible that I could go practically anywhere

I dropped my pixel 6a and the screen on top cracked. Also I got a notification that google is planning to gimp my battery at 400 charge cycles (i'm at 395). They gave me $150 at the google store for another phone should I go for the 10 or the 9a? Or just wait for the 10a?

Just went from a Pixel 7 to a S25 Ultra. Getting back into the Samsung UI is harder then I thought.

What's the best keyboard these days?

Is the Android OS pretty much the same across all applicable brands, or are there any differences? I've only ever used Samsung smartphones. If I get an Android phone of a different brand, will I have a substantially different experience?

Main thing with Samsung is they kept the back button on the right, and when they got rid of hardware buttons they modified Android to keep it on the right.
Meanwhile Google put it on the left and that's stock unless the OEM changes it or adds the function to swap it.

I hated when they got rid of the bottom bar and changed it all. I'm used to it now hut preferred the previous bottom bar

I dunno what I did to my s21+ , I dropped it one too many times and couldn't get it to charge last night. So I turned it off to conserve power, ofc I've been using the USB port to turn it on.. power button broken lmao. Managed to get a full charge with it off at some point just never got it in the right spot again to do a USB boot. Have taken it apart and pulled out the dodgy power button and put it back in and tried jumping it directly via the button contacts, guess I just need to order a replacement button and see if that's all I need to get it back on to retrieve photos, already got a new phone, just want the old stuff

Do I need a special charged for supervooc? I have a 67w novoo gan charger that does ~45w on it with the soopii 100w cable on my tablet, it shows around 27w on the OnePlus 13s though, also it has a much lower charge rate (at the port so phone drawing less power) if I put the screen on

Stop buying Pixel phones, moron. You guys are like abuse victims, Google screws you over and over and you just keep going back for more. It's almost as bad as iPhone users.

I saved a year money from my autismbux
It's either S26 or wait for the Pixel 11

I'm in no hurry to buy. My S23 is tugging along. Or should I get the base iPhone 17
