Imagine not building your PC to account for summer temperatures of 35-40C indoors by going for mesh only cases, liquid coolers, de-shrouded GPUs or large dual-fan GPUs, as opposed to cases with HDD/ODD bays and restricted air intake/exhaust, using a puny dual-tower air cooler with loud fans, and puny 85mm fans on your GPU making noise. Embrace 140mm-200mm German brand case fans, 240, 360, or 420mm AIOs, and a high airflow mesh case, prolong the lifespan of your components, run your fans at lower RPMs, reduce noise. >>108140423I mean online. Someone would have karma farmed on Reddit by now like those Walmart deals.
>>108140426Well I should have still tried to buy it.
>>108140261The CPU is a bit overkill then, but if you can afford it and don't mind the more demanding temps/cooling I can see it helping your lows a little bit.>>108140035Hon ignition is the cheapest office chair I can recommend. Anything below that is disposable tier.>>108140298The 5080 is kind of pointless. If you can afford the 5070 ti just get that.
>>108140429If it was Amazon then maybe you'd have better luck. When they cancelled some guys 5080 they still shipped it anyways for free.
>>108140298Buy the best you can afford. It will be the last GPU you buy for a while.
My "brand new" Ryzen 7 9800X3D has a couple tiny scratches on the front. Is that normal?
Have you watched the latest "Jay is a retard' episode?
>>108140495You got it from a system integrator I'm guessing?AliExpress Special?Should be fine. It looks superficial. These are "New" in that they're stock that's been sold to a company that puts computers together. (Or claims to.)And part of that process is that they're tested, and that can l mean they have a little bit of paste or scratching on the top. Apparently stuff that goes to system integrators tends to be less cosmetically perfect because whoever ends up buying the PC is probably never going to see it, where as one that comes from the shelf is going to be more closely examined by the buyer. But, that seems like an extra step of quality control that I don't know if anyone would bother with.
>>108140497>COPS is filmed on location with the men and women of law enforcement. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
>>108140555Some guy on eBay. It was advertised as new.And was only 50$ cheaper than stores. I can see a good number of imperfections on the pins.
>>108140589Bit sketchy. But, I got my 9800X3D for like £275 on AliExpress, and it's been fine.
>>108139679>a full mesh caseName a good mesh case that's within the budget area of a Pure Base 600 but actually has good airflow while keeping the same quality of life features, build quality, and dampening so it doesn't buzz while idle. I have no interest in glass panels.
>>108140375Who are you calling new when beg the general in a non-question format?Multi-reply schizo, sorry, the >I was pretending to be retarded!schtick doesn't workKeep coping and don't act like a retard and lash out when you get called out lmao. Last (you) since you multi reply faggots want attention, that's literally the reason. It's fine in multi-quote forums but here it's attention seeking behavior.
>>108140621Oh nevermind, I should have just went for that used Silent Base 800 or whatever listing then for the best of both worlds.
>>108139875>static pressure fans do better when behind somethingDoes that apply to pushing and pulling air?Or only to pushing?Sorry, I should clarify I'm not the guy who was originally asking, but am interested in the topic as currently trying to figure out a plan for how to keep a 5090 cool inside a Cooler Master Frame 400; and after several tries/captchas 4chan still wont let me directly upload the fucking image, so here's a direct link:https://a.storyblok.com/f/281110/2400x2400/9ec617f6ed/masterframe-400-mesh_img-05-3.pngI've read Noctua's guide- https://www.noctua.at/en/support/faqs/airflow-guide-next-steps on where to position the fans, but they didn't touch on whether static pressure <=> airflow for building positive pressure inside a case when dealing with limited/obstructed intakes (which in a roundabout way kind of supports >>108139916's theory).
>>108140612The seller had it listed as "no returns". But I messaged him on ebay and he agreed to accept it back.I'll just get one off the shelf at bestbuy for peace of mind.
>>108140589>buying a "not used" CPU on eBay from some retard to save 50 bucksGet a grip you filthy kike. It's the most fragile and important part of your computer, the warranty on a new AMD CPU is the gold standard, and you're buying mystery components to save a couple hours of a recent mid tier liberal arts college graduate's wages.
>>108140450>Hon ignition is the cheapest office chair I can recommendWhat exactly makes this chair worth 500 more than the Facebook office surplus or Amazon special chair I can find anywhere?
That Newegg 9850x3D + 32GB of RAM deal sounds so tempting. Too bad I already have a 7800x3D. I also got my RAM free last May in another Newegg deal. All I know is you complainers better buy now or shut up.
>>108140818Honest question, really. I've never really sat in a "nice" chair because I mostly work in the field or out of expedient offices and I've never really had a problem with the cum stained cheapo crap that I've lived in. Tbh I don't even hate my folding chair it's just starting to bow and break.
>>108140737static pressure operates best when pushing while non static operates best as pulling.
Why do they make GPUs with coolers that have such small fans? 85mm diameter fans when we could easily have 110-115mm diameter fans (aka 120mm fans) fit inside most cases. Is it because of case airflow?
>>108140348Some people like CPU heavy games. Simulators, strategy, etc.
>>108140871because if you need more you may as well go watercooling. they already sell aio gpus and preblocked cards.
I want to play my steam games on a tv in my living room.Whats the best way to connect to it (HDMI, remote play, something else?)Also whats the best kind of TV for this?I have a 9070
Is a Silent Loop 3 240mm going to cool my Ryzen CPU better and quieter than a Phantom Spirit 120?
>>108140818Build quality, warranty, and adjustability. Everybody will have a different idea of "comfortable" but these are just things I've noticed after sitting on chairs for decades. To be clear, I wouldn't suggest the hon at retail price, but it regularly dips below 400.
>>108140906best is just to plug tv into it and call it a day. any remote things will be adding latency. whatever tv you can afford. be mindful of tv PPI - anything below 90-93 PPI will just look bad/blurry.
>>108140298i don't know about 5070 ti super but a 5070 ti should be more than enough for most people
What's the best 5070 model you can buy without being overly expensive? I just care about cool temps and a quiet fan really. I'll be undervolting and overclocking because it'll primarily be used in a TV PC for 4k (dlss) so I need max performance but also quiet operation.
