The baker used a flame war instigating image again as usual to spread misinformation and to try and make Apple look bad. Embarrassing and it never works though since the OP is making everything up.
Since 2024 Google has lost the most cases based on stealing and spying of users data.

The smartphone of the year for 2025 was the iPhone 17.

i have a garmin vivoactiv 5 really like the battery life ive had android wear devices before and end up not wearing them after a while because ill forget to charge it and the battery is then always dead. lasts 1-2 weeks on the garmin easily
>>
>>108166047
Garmins are way too out of budget for me unfortunely, so are Huawei, Samsungs and Apple watches (being 2nd worlder is shit af).
I don't want a very "sporty" watch, something more casual and normal and with a bit room for costumization, from what I've researched
Xiaomi Watch 4 Active
Haylou Solar Plus
I think those pair normally with Iphones, just download the company's app
>>
>>108166242
have you looked for the vivoactive5? just had a look one webstore is selling it for 137 gbp which is only 20 more than that xiaomi
>>
OnePlus won!!!
>>
>>108166270
I did, however Garmin doesn't sell officially to my country, the Vivoactive 5 is 180,00 GBP (1200,00 BRL) here, while the Xiaomi is 42,00 GBP (300 BRL) the reseller's profit fees make it out of my budget

iPhone 17e would be the perfect "basic bitch" phone if it cost 400 euro, had a 1/1.56" main camera instead of some iPhone 11 tier bullshit, and the screen was 90 Hz.
But at a 699 euro starting price? You can get a regular iPhone 17 for that price if you know where to shop. So it's literally DoA except for extreme retards who just walk into an Apple store and grab the cheapest current-gen iPhone.
>hurr my grandma doesn't need pro motion she just wants to look at AI slop on facebook!!

60 IQ thirdie posts are so funny!!!!!!!
Ignore the misinformation poster that provides no links or sources and only posts old phones.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max beat the Red Magic 11 Pro in multiple games like Resident Evil 4, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Tomb Raider. The A19 Pro SOC runs cooler and has better graphics. Pic related is the iPhone 17 Pro Max getting 60fps on the left and the Red Magic 11 Pro getting 11 fps.
Also instead of relying on YouTube videos I actually own a iPhone 17 Pro Max, Red Magic 11 Pro and a OnePlus 15 and can confirm the iPhone 17 Pro Max runs those 3 games better.

Here's a video of the iPhone 17 Pro Max vs the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Also Versus has gaming comparison videos showing the iPhone doing better than the Androids they compared it to.
It wasn't even close, literally every single game tested the iPhone 17 Pro Max ran it better. The tests show the A19 Pro having better efficiency, better graphics and better cooling.

Is it just the state of the internet in general, or why does nobody want to discuss smartphones? This thread is dead, model-specific subr*ddits only post battery life screenshots and questions about bugs and issues... There is some discussion on Twitter but it boils down to "haha remember old phone? old phone was good!" or absolutely retarded questions like "do you have battery% visible or hidden?" instead of discussing the specs, software experience, form factor and general design aesthetics of various smartphone models.
Like, for a device literally EVERYONE has, it feels like we're at an all time low for actual smartphone enthusiasts. Nobody cares anymore. They just hold onto whatever they have until it breaks, then they buy another of the same brand of the same price class 2-4 years later. Some people upgrade every year or two on schedule, but they just buy the most expensive iPhone/Samsung they can afford without considering any external factors beyond "brand" and "tier/price".
Smartphone techfluencers just list out specs in a way that doesn't make it look like a blatant ad, and then do a staged unboxing (phone already tested by labs), test some photos, say "damn good phone do buy" and sign out. There's just no nuance unless it's a particularly bad or badly priced phone like the Pixel 10a or the iPhone 16e...
Contrary to what most people might think, I do NOT buy a piece of expensive high-end tech to just set and forget and have a smooth experience for 2+ years. I buy it so I can talk to people about it, show it off, discuss features, compare specs/photos...
>>
>>108186506
1-there is nothing worth talking about, smartphones are essentially carbon copies of each that essentially all do the same things.
2-it's perfectly natural for people to not talk about specs, smartphones are a tool, a portal to use useful/fun applications.
the same way people talk more about the steak than they do about the pan, people will talk more about what they use the smartphone for than the smartphone itself.

no one wants to talk about incremental updates and spreadsheets.
>>
and just to add, the few phones worth talking about are either gone or unaffordable for most people, compact phones might as well not exist anymore, foldables are too expensive.
when apple eventually releases their foldable, people will talk about it, and then it will either die or become the standard and discussions will stop either way.
phones are a tool, some people used to treat like toys, but they aren't anymore.
>>
>>108186552
>phones are a tool, some people used to treat like toys, but they aren't anymore.
I miss 10-12 years ago when hardware was finally "solidified" and designs stopped being too esoteric and weird, yet everyone still flashed roms and rooted their phones.
Hell at this point I miss the sort of 2017-2020 era where designs started changing and evolving drastically due to the iPhone X looking like nothing that came before. Notches, nipple teardrop notches, punchholes, flipout cameras, popup cameras, removal of the home button, introduction of gestures to android, high megapixel cameras like 48 or 64 MP for the first time in mainstream 250 euro phones, slow motion video, three to FOUR rear cameras on a phone, premium designs with glass even on midrangers, 1080p becoming the minimum and the standard for displays, OLED starting to make it's way down to cheaper phones, midrangers like the Redmi Note 8 Pro having ALL the features you could want from a phone while costing 1/3 that of the iPhone XR. Just insanity. I miss that era so much. I was still in high school and I'd see my classmates bringing in a new phone to class every 3-12 months, because the difference between an early 2018 Redmi and a mid-2019 Redmi was so massive it wasn't even remotely the same phone. That was also the era of peak Huawei before they got banned.
The only thing we lost in that transition was small phones.
>>
>>108185751
thanks, I dug a bit further and found a oneplus clone app as well so I'll be using that (and if that doesn't work then the oppo one). I know OP and oppo are part of the same company but if the shoe fits
>>
Am I retarded for trying to see if I can use an alternate method to get magnetic charging to work on the 10a since they didn't put qi2 magnets in the phone.
>>
>>108186900
It's called a magsafe case, anon. Every phone has them available. It's just a normal case with magnets on the back in a shape compatible with magsafe and qi2.
>>
>>108186506
>current phone is from 2018
>consider upgrading in 2020
>"eh, it's still working just fine and everything is still instant"
>repeat for every year since then
Snapdragon 855 was the SandyBridge moment for ARM.
There's zero point anymore other than meaningless benchmark numbers, and mobile games have never needed any semblance of decent specs since they're all mobile trash apps slopped out by the thousands every month.

The only reason to ever upgrade a phone is for a better camera, and Google perfected that with the Pixel 3 years ago. Crapple only finally caught up after a decade of having utter fucking shit cameras.
>>
>>108186904
So I can just get one of those magnetic rings for the case and still use my snap charger no problem then yeah?
>>
>>108186919
I dunno if they sell rings you can glue to any case, but they sell cases with the rings already attached. And yeah it will work with any magnetic charging puck or car mount or powerbank, etc.
In fact, official cases often include these rings, because magsafe generally doesn't work through cases. Meaning even if the 10a had the Qi2 magnets, if you put a case on it, and the case doesn't have magnets as well, you're screwed.

I think that's the minimum for a phone, especially since more and more people are using their phones for 3-4 years nowadays instead of upgrading yearly.

Faster than the Red Magic 11 Pro soc since it's overclocked. Red Magic is releasing a 11s thats supposed to be overclocked in April.
The A19 Pro at the moment topped out over the S26 Ultra Snapdragon SOC version.....
Samsung also said the S26 Ultra soc runs hotter and the smartphone only has vapor chamber cooling. Hopefully it isn't another OnePlus 15 situation.

Google Pixel 7 Pro - 2 Months

Quite disappointed by the camera performance. All I can say is, get an Xperia if you're into photography.

-[Pros]-
>Build quality
>120hz display, gets quite bright, color calibrated (?)
First phone where I *had* to lower the brightness, now using 75-80% daily
>Smooth and responsive stock OS
>GrapheneOS for schizos
Great for customization and granular permissions, even for users that don't care about privacy
>General performance
Tested PS2 emulation with SSX 3 and upscaling, smooth
>Battery life
1-2 days, depending on use and configuration
6.5-7 hours average SOT
Infinite endurance, 2-3% drain overnight
>Speakers
>Haptics

-[Cons]-
>No 3.5mm headphone jack
None of the models, not even pro, embarrassing
>No MicroSD card slot
No card slot on a phone marketed for photography, also embarrassing
>Too large
Takes up too much space in pockets, tough at times to use with one hand
>Overheating
>Single SIM slot
>Google Camera post processing
Completely ruins some scenes, Sony's camera app BTFOs it
>Glass back
>Punch hole
>Slippery

-[Don't use, don't care]-
>Wireless charging
>NFC
>Under display fingerprint scanner

if it's actually completely new then the battery shouldn't have degraded that much

Still, in 2026 I wouldn't even bother with that phone because not only is it 5 android versions behind from it's last update but also it has a 3k battery which is very small

Have you tried RAW? I was also kind of disappointed in the processing at times with my 6 Pro, but I've found the DNGs out of it to actually be quite nice once you edit them a bit. I'd argue Google's DNGs are better than Sony's, but then again Sony's processing is a little more natural SOOC

OnePlus is way more impressive with its score while having 7300mAh. What the fuck happened with the P4 Power for it to have scored only a little over a couple hours more?

Fuck got the wrong thread
I'm going to upgrade from the iphone 12 mini to the xiaomi 15T
I can get 512GB storage for $750 AUD vs $700 for the A56 with 128 GB vs $650 for the Pixel 9A with 128 GB
Apparently you get a case included which is cool, just need to get a screen protector and the 67W charger

For you

Why are people forgetting that most people look at the big picture and all aspects when choosing a phone? Why do you think Apple and Samsung sell so many phones? Because they do everything "Good"

Of course there are going to be phones that do certain things better but one aspect of a phone isn't going to outweigh everything else. It's like the people who complain that the latest ultra Samsung phone has only a 5K battery, forgetting that it does the most important thing: The ability to work nonstop from the start of a day till the end
