Report all flamewarring, trolling, spamming posts. Long live /pcbg/!

Post your /pcbg/ anyway but know that we have enraged the amdshitposter to the degree that he has vowed to shit up this thread with trash with the goal of killing it.

Remain vigilant, /pcbg/, report in silence, and above all - have fun.

Spotting the shitposters: the shitposters may be working at gunpoint in a bot farm, paid shill/bot farm, lone schizo, etc. the shitposters rarely ever just tags the OP and asks for it to be updated or changed as asked for in the second part of the sticky. they also resort to things like ad hominem, racism, cherry picked benchmarks, false information, etc. and one of my favorite things is the lone post tagging no one but responding to some previous reply to whatever argument it felt it was losing or with a one-liner just to flood the vapid minds of the unwashed masses with <specific vendors products>. the shitposters necropost old tropes to flood the threads and bump post counts e.g. random garbage questions that any /noob/ would just google or disingenuous descriptions of problems that are copypasta with a few words changed in them. Single line, low-quality posts are often the copypasta. Most recently the OP appears to be trying a super stealth approach - creating the OP with only "subtle" alterations like "-Avoid Nvidia Due To Possible Melting Connectors & Driver Problems", griefing /g/ by creating and self deleting the thread after a short while, deleting the OP img, shilling native vs upscaling, etc.

Should I return my $60 Phantom Spirit 120 while I still have one day left (I forgot I might still do this) and buy a Dark Rock Pro 5 instead if I wanted better fans from the beginning, or should I put that towards an AIO like the Silent Loop 3 360 for $160?

Not from this OP, who is more of the non-shillling technically oriented market-driven sort of shitposter that only occasionally gets pic related.

Nevermind on that first part, how the fuck does the Dark Rock Pro 5 lose to the Phantom Spirit 120? I guess adding two Silent Wings 4 fans would still be more expensive than just buying it outright used, which would explain the cost to performance ratio.

Still, I'm tempted to try an AIO and have it not suck with pump noise, which is hear is a problem on the LF3 360. Though I think that most of the cost of these products are still going to be the fans...

I was starting to get swayed towards WOLED because supposedly the "only" downside to WOLED vs QD OLED was the lower brightness which Tandem WOLED was supposed to have fixed
then further digging and everyone other than Youtube review shills were complaining about the egregious banding issue all WOLEDs have, and only RTNGs agreed they wouldn't recommend WOLED over QD OLED due to the banding issues they've seen
So now I'm back to considering the Asus PG32UCDM3 once it comes out. I've only found a single review which has actually discussed the coating who said that the previous model was like a "soft" layer whilst the new one is noticeably harder now. The tendency to scratch was my main concern, I'm not here to baby my fucking monitor

I'm thinking about replicating this build, but matching the 6 Silent Wings 4 fans in this case (with another 2 on the CPU cooler) would cost me... 245 dollars inside of a 110-100 dollar case (assuming a new Pure Base 501 or 600, undecided between the two).. with a 60 dollar CPU cooler... what is the point of doing this now?

I would kill for a build like that if it is as quiet at it seems, but seems like terrible cost effectiveness. I could have afforded a new CPU + AIO for that much combined, or one full tower.
>>
One thing I've noticed with pairing a ~350w GPU with a ryzen 7000 series CPU (which run hot as fuck already) in a mATX mobo is that the back plate gets super hot and its like an inch below my thermalright phantom spirit which despite being dual tower, still can't keep my CPU below 70C sometimes at like 40% load so it becomes loud. I wonder if I can get a riser to move the GPU to another part of the case or maybe I should just go for water cooling on the CPU. Or both water cooling and upgrading to an RTX 50 series which will run quiet and cooler.

The HX1500i is 20% off right now. My next build is a 5090 + 9950x3d but I don't know if I should go for 1500w or 1200w when there's only a £25 difference between the two and physically they're the same size
>>
>>108164931
If truly 5090 then go 1500w as it will help with transients and the PSU fan won't be on as much
Downside: less efficient at smaller loads until it ramps up

Also you mentioned 1500i but your pic shows the shift version --- you need to clarify, is it the normal or shift version?

as I've learned first hand color brightness also plays a part in how this is viewed which after using low color gamut low brightness monitor I vowed to always colormaxx after this fact
white subpixel woled will also have lower color luminance

rtings also don't recommend woled tvs for pc use over qd due to dithering due to fix near black chrominance overshoot and so on

I feel they are overplaying the coating a bit too much it's totally cleanable but microscratches and soft being a thing but don't think it's THAT insane of a problem

So just a couple of days ago a document was published, then retracted, that suggested updates to the US Department of Defense/War's list of restricted companies. The two companies listed above were given exemptions to the restricted list, allowing them to do business in the US.

Given how long it will take for any plans to be ironed out, It's probably still a year if not more until cheap RAM. That's assuming companies want to play the "individual Consumer" game, rather than doubling down on the AI market which is seemingly proven profitable to manufacturers so far.

The latter seems more the case to me, as there's been such a big push for the AI Data Centers, Flock System Cameras, and general "Own Nothing and Be Happy"-ness that companies have been building for the past few years. Sure, consumers will see high prices start to round out but a majority of those components won't be in our hands, it'll be in the hands of Zuck, Thiel, Gates, and their cronies.
>>
>>108165608
Not at all. In fact, there will be an absolute gaming explosion. All your favourite franchises will receive a fancy new game with superb quality. Game studios will grow like mushrooms. Game dev salaries will raise exponentially. Graphics will skyrocket, gameplay will magically improve, every new game will have hundreds of hours of content. But! They will all be exclusives for the Palantir Magic Box™. The goyim will happily herd themselves into surveillance hell so they can play the cool new games.

I got a Xiaomi G Pro 27i last year, it's pretty decent. I mostly use it as a normal IPS panel because miniLED makes text look really bad (in general, not just for this monitor), I turn on local dimming when playing games and especially watching movies and it look great. The firmware on the monitor can't be updated though and older version have a red tint problem, it's easily fixable by just increasing the blue saturation by 2 or 3 points in the monitor menu or Nvidia control panel.

Picrel is the better deal and you can get it just as silent simply by throttling the pump to ~2,100 rpm.
I own and recommend beQuiet's cases and PSUs but not their AIOs, sorry. They always sucked and the refill port doesn't make up for this.

It's not bad in the sense it's unreadable, it's just that when you are reading a white text with black and especially grey background, the text will be dimmed out and will be ugly and slightly unclear/blurry. Still, if you're reading a lot on your PC then OLED is already off the charts due to burn in, so miniLED is your only option if you want OLED-tier good colors for games/movies.
>>
>>108165737
Server CPU's are having "severe" supply issues right now in China, so the next logical step is for them to redirect production away from consumer grade ones.
>>
>>108164644
> I'm tempted to try an AIO and have it not suck with pump noise, which is hear is a problem on the LF3 360.
Again: this isn't a problem at all. Just throttle the pump via PWM control in your BIOS or motherboard app from 100% ~2,800rpm to 75% ~2,100rpm and it will be inaudible next to your case fans. There is no need to have the pump run at 100% all the time, it doesn't improve the cooling in any noticeable way, it only wears it out faster than necessary. I cool a PBOCed 9950X3D like this and it never even scratches 80°C. ALF3 Pro is the best performing AIO currently on the market, also the best value. The only reason not to get one is a limitation in radiator thickness due to bad choice of case/motherboard.
>>
>>108165894
>The only reason not to get one is a limitation in radiator thickness
Yep, the LF IIi Pro line are fat boys, but they work really well. I have mine using the 3 individual control cables for pump/VRM/radiator. Cool and quiet.
>>
Ran the numbers on a "silence at any cost" build... not looking pretty value-wise, such is the cost of a luxury premium trap.

>Pure Base 501 or Pure Base 600 is about 350-400 PLN
>Refitting a Phantom Spirit 120 with new fans can cost either 100 for PW3, or 200 for SW4 on top of it already costing 210 PLN
>If I decide to ditch my P14 Pro and go all be quiet! on my case, I would have to end up buying 4, 6, or 8 fans in total. 130ish for a 3-pack of PW3's (2 for the cooler, 1 for exhoost), then 4 or 5 for the rest of the case depending on if it's a PB600 or 500/501 would be 200-250ish. If it's the Silent Wings 4 though? Double that to 450.

All in all, depending on what I could do here that winds up being a CPU upgrade (any AM4 CPU, or up to a 7800X3D if I was on AM5), or a GPU upgrade (could have spent more on a 5070 Ti even at current prices) in extra cost for possibly marginal gains. What a lovely way to burn your money with these brands.
>>
>>108165947
the quietest build would be to watercool the entire thing, not that I recommend it after doing it once

All big tech companies are owned by Israel. They want to push everyone into AI-scanned cloud platforms for surveillance, and also possibly so they can stage a society-destroying AI collapse (that wouldn't work if people have personal devices they can rely on) and then summon the Antichrist by making a chosen jew sorcerer into the "scientist who saved the world" by attributing the victory against rogue AI to him, a new Solomon who binds demons, a new temple-builder. And don't hit me with "da jooz", it's not even been a month since the Epstein files came out and proved "conspiracy theories" right.

System specs are 10700k, 32gb of ddr4 ram and a 4070ti at 4k. I've been hitting the 32gb limit with some modded games and I also have to close all my browsers and stuff before playing certain ones. Latest game I'm playing is Endfield and it mostly runs fine at near max but it stutters sometimes when I load in and it has fps drops during battle.
I assume this is a cpu issue and I do want more ram too so I've been thinking about buying another 32gb of dd4 ram and upgrading to the 14400. Is this my best course of action?

>>
>>108165106
Really depends on things slowing down or not. Supposedly the datacenter side is slowing down, though that could be more roadblocks rather than interest diminishing.
The main reason everything is being bought up is because all the AI companies are trying to deny each other hardware, they don't care if it's actually used, it's stopping their competition getting it.

They are not, there are 1300 copies worldwide, at least 1/3 if not more were given away to various MSI "friends" and shills, jewtubers, tech sites redactions etc. plenty are given in giveaways to get attention, and some are sold for huge prices, in some countries with additional lotteries to draw the chance to purchase it.
In my country one shop sells it without lottery, they want around 5350 EUR for it. RTX Pro can be purchased for around 9000, and once I have seen an open box for 8000. If I had 5350 for GPU only I would as well save some more and get the PRO instead.
