I got a 14600K recently and while my computer's thankfully running, I'm also noticing that spicy bitch is just chilling at 100c when the computer's idle or when I'm doing some basic internet browsing. I haven't had too much time to fuck around with it because of work so I'll ask here.

What kinda settings should I mess around with in the BIOS to help resolve it? I've set lite load to Mode 1 for right now and I already have the BIOS update for 13th/14th gen. It seems like the BIOS update changed a lot of shit and by default it made my 14600K set to Mode 18 for some reason, which was just insane.

This is on an MSI B660 motherboard, so any help would be appreciated. I have a feeling it's definitely a BIOS setting I need to adjust to help calm this thing down.

i'm looking to drop my 60hz monitor, buy a 1440p monitor that's better performing than my 144hz and then make my 144hz the second monitor. My goal with a 1440p is to get something that allows my gpu to full use its capabilities, because being on 1080 kinda can bottleneck it for games. Any suggestions? My desk is 60 inches wide.

Brand new accounts with zero rep posting shit like $400 RTX 5070 Tis. Obviously you aren't going to get a GPU if you order from them, but what's the point here? Ebay will quickly reverse the transaction and refund the buyers money, so what do the scammers gain, why are they bothering to do this?

Upon further IPA towel wipes, it might be a false alarm actually. Might. I think that might have just been me wiping the orange paint from the case, other wipes show only regular dust or possibly just black paint. I mean it didn't smell quite like tar to me, but who knows.

I might just be accidentally stripping paint for all I know, in which case fuck but shit still has a noticeable scent to it, but again it smells more sweet like deoderant than tar. I have smelled it before on metal.

Some very interesting oil spill iridescence to the rubber pads under the PSU, goes away with a single IPA wipe. I should perhaps take care not to strip paint cause for all I know they use some eco-friendly biodegradable stuff or IPA damp towels are just that strong somehow.
