As for actual "art" the whole point is human expression and connection with others through the medium, and that's not something AI can do. The best you could say is that it's broadly engineer art but insofar as it is then expressed through the prompts of others, I don't find it compelling on its own merit, it needs greater context to generate meaning which is up to the artist to conjure. As a creation of the engineers? Sure ya ok but I don't care about your 1girls any more than you do mine. Open source is fine.

It's very good at some things, but can't do everything the way some people want it to. I guess that makes me default to for it?
