Keep in mind that there's a bunch of shit for image recompression using mozjpeg including a privacy mode that makes sure images you post have unique MD5s. It can be a bit janky and really slow things down when you're using that so if you're not interested I'd recommend trying to figure out how to do a build with just the drafts feature and the captcha fix.

The former is much much faster and rebench ranks it almost as high as Claude but I'm still reluctant to believe anything local is as good as Qwen3.5 IRL, it's just so damn good.

I was using Qwen3.5 last night in vscode w/cline and it seemed as good if not better than Gemini 3 Pro when I originally started writing this Python script in December. Also, if cline's accounting was accurate just my last afternoon's coding session alone would've cost over $300 CAD with Sonnet. No doubt Sonnet would've produced "better" code but I doubt it would've done it at 80 token/s (or 145/s Qwen3coder-next gives) and probably not $300 better.

Currently... not really. You could try Qwen3.5-9B, it's actually incredibly good for its size but will probably still be frustrating for anything complex. Just a guess, I haven't tried it firsthand.

A couple years ago there was an open-source project called PowerInfer which would intelligently load the most-used parts of a model on your GPU and leave the rest in RAM and they showed it achieving like 90% of the performance it would've had running all on GPU.

The company making it went quiet though and they just announced they're putting out a hardware product that seems to use the principle; it's a thing the size of a battery bank that you plug into a thunderbolt port IIRC. If they ever open-source it then the need for huge-VRAM cards will be greatly reduced, but it's anyone's guess if/when that'll happen.

You can look up their GitHub even today, it was very convincing.

updated it to support multi file output support in the information tab. so when you make segments, extract multiple files, etc, they all will populate in the information tab.

also, from my testing the past twoish weeks, i really do recommend using more than one agent together at the same time. having claude (opus 4.6 high) and codex (gpt 5.4 high) discussing with each other, before they start making changes, has really worked well in improving accuracy.
so for example, ill start with claude, have him review what i ask him to do. tell him what i want done, but don't make changes yet, just discuss it. i take his output, and feed it to codex, codex reviews it and i take codex findings and feed it back to claude. have them keep reviewing each others findings until neither find anything else and are in total agreement. then have either claude or codex do the work. then have the other check the work and keep going back and forth until no findings are found. works super well.

What is the text editor that everyone is using now? I was planning on using Zed + OpenCode. And does anyone know what is the best free way to use models, last time I was using antigravity but now its shit. I heard you can use an opencode antigravity plugin, so i can now ditch antigravity. Is paying for opencode worth it as well? or is there a better deal else where. Git also helps you manage your own code. Every time you add your code to git it creates a new version, that makes it easier to revert to an earlier version if the agent made too many mistakes, it also means that if your agent deletes your code you have a backup.
I would recommend learning at least a little bit about git, it's about the right "abstraction level" to work with agents. You don't need to know the details of programming languages with agents, but it helps if you can organize your projects and git helps a lot with that, it's one of the few tools that pretty much every programmer agrees is actually useful.

That's the downside of only targeting the attention block layers. Doing that method affects what it's willing to generate but not HOW it generates. But the catch that if I target ALL layers I risk making the model more retarded since the dataset it's 30% human written (meaning somewhat the writing is good and some of the writing is poor quality). I'll retrain a different version later on today targeting all layers to see if that makes a noticeable difference.

my tune did worse in pretty much all benchmarks compared to the Base model and the abliterated version. With that being said, I'm not entirely sure what kind of behavior the abliteration was trying to target (or if it even worked at all) because that one failed my Power-outage test spectacularly. Regarding the scores, i wonder if this is the result of how the model was abliterated compared to the other one of if this is mostly thanks to the higher parameter count

Yeah, abliteration is kind of a blunt instrument, it will for the most part stop outright refusing but it will still try to steer away from that kind of shit a little bit. The ERP training is more of a targeted intervention.
As for the intelligence scores, yeah, it's supposed to have no negative effects unlike regular abliteration. I've tested it myself and confirmed there aren't any meaningful harmful effects so it's pretty much a "free" way to uncensor with no accuracy loss.
Maybe the best way to get a truly uncensored model would be to apply that method and then a light finetune.
It would also be interesting to apply the norm preservation method to LoRa finetuning.
