is it still possible to degoogle these days?
>>108564596I de-googled your mom last night
I mean, yes? You don’t have to, though, not entirely. Just interact with YouTube and other Google services in sandboxed Tor browser sessions. Install the Flatpak.
for what purpose? if you want zero google footprint it's possible but hard, but if it's just you don't want them gaying up your life just avoid using their services generally there are alternatives for everything except maybe youtube
>>108564596Yes, but teh Interwebz are actually in a sorry state right now. You will see that when you degoogle. That what actually scares people. The old Internet is almost dead. Replaced with walled gardens, paywalls and tracking tied all the way down to your gov-issued ID. And it's been like that for a long time. Things you hear about age-verification are bullshit, nothing new about it. It's just porn companies being mad about someone not letting them ruin kids. As far as tracking goes, it's already in place, to the last bit. Every single word you type here, for example, is tied to your offline persona, because they control the website (basically owned by Epstein's stooges), datacenters and last-mile Internet providers all cooperate.
>>108564596Of course it is. I'll still use their search though because it simply is the best. I don't have to use them for literally anything else though.
>>108564633>it simply is the bestDelusional goggle employim detected.
Only if you have a phone with a custom ROM that's constantly and consistently maintained and updated on xda. Other than that, you can't.
>>108564700> a custom ROM that's constantly and consistently maintained and updated on xdaSo that a backdoor would not spoil over time?
You can but its difficult and very inconvenient, like not going to the supermarket because you don't want to pay the "goyslop distribution jew" or learning how to change your own oil, most people just want to enter term, get response/video and be on with their day.
>>108564743Changing oil is easy though. Dealing with supermarkets is basically impossible difficulty. If you grow your own stuff, they will lobby it being illegal. In some countries they already did exactly that.
>>108564596if your 14 year old son pleasures himself in front of Gemini, they will degoogle your life for you.
What I did was move all my accounts from gmail to mailbox, then deleted google account. Then made a new account just for youtube and my phone. I was kinda hoping I could've gone without logging into it on my phone but it was needed up update the banking app. Thats about as much of as I can do without giving up on youtube and getting an apple phone
>>108564796You think one can role play as a kid to make them purge his data from their tracking systems? It's like a dataset poisoning, but not the hidden type. Instead it requires their action. With goal being automatic tracking data removal, that you can trigger when you feel like it.
>>108564861I mean you probably could but you'll be locked out from like 90% of the "adult only" content given how hard they're cracking down on age verification, so any video or search term with anything vaguely adult will give you the "think of the children" nag and lock you out, as far as them honoring that said "purge"? Haha well, lets hope they honor it. I do like the idea of an "underage scarecrow" though to keep corpos out of your personal data.
>>108564890I don't think thats actually the case, there is no age verification crackdown, I can just open pornhub.com or hypnotube.com and masturbate if that is what I desire to do, there is no hoop to jump through and I can also get my pornography from >>>/d/ >>>/gif/ >>>/aco/ and >>>/trash/ so I really feel like you're fearmongering rather than talking about anything of substance or that is even involved with technology. So tell me, specifically what technology are you talking about?
>>108564890Do you really not get what kind of role play I was referring to?
>>108564910I'm talking about search terms on google search and like youtube videos, no those URLs will always be up as long as your country doesn't have to comply with the pornography regulations that are being widespread atm and free to visit, go fap your brains out to whatever you want, im not fearmongering. I'm just talking about google and Gemini AI's personalization.>>108564915Yes I know, you're tricking the AI's algo into thinking you're a child in order to prevent it from tracking you and collecting data, I'm not retarded.
>>108564944>I'm not retardedYou just might be.Because you memory-holed this >>108564796 from the context. The idea was to pretend I'm that kid. And then see how it affects tracking and teh recommendations algo. If it suddenly treats me like a first time user -> I just have won the Internet.
>>108564674yeah, gotta agree with opgoogle are objectively bestbing sucks in general, brave image search way worse, yandex is also hit or misseveything else - just uses either bing or google under the hood
>>108565226They might have top1 index, because money. They don't have top1 search engine that uses that index in an efficient way. And they certainly do not have a UI or UX to claim "best web search", since perplexity exists.
you can degoogle or you can deapple, but you cannot do both
>>108564596besides youtube im 100% degoogled
