GrapheneOS is really awesome, even setting aside security and privacy. Very user friendly and bloatfree. Just hope they update the shitty gallery app.

doas rm -rf /

android works the same way. You don't let anyone have access to the system partition

Are any of these sub $15 replacement battery for the Pixel 6Pro any good?
ifixit has one for $42
No one sells a complete kit with the replacement graphite sheets.
ifixit sells them separately but they want expensive shipping.

I already replaced my broken screen, waiting on the finger print sensor to come in. I think I should also do the battery.

I dont need the seal kit or any tools, already got that.
is the graphite sheet reusable? does it need to stick back? can i use kapton tape?

Please don’t post your misinformation opinions in here. We’re trying to discuss facts and have an intellectual discussion and your silly false opinions are ruining the thread. Imagine having to come here and claim that nobody in the USA is able to purchase phones not sold here is ridiculous. I can buy anything I want off the Internet and it gets shipped here. I literally got my red magic 11 Pro and OnePlus 15 directly from the official website and they both came from the same warehouse in California so just stop it already with this ridiculous nonsense that we don’t hav the availability to purchase phones that are not sold at a carrier store in Burgerland.

Came here to tell you not to listen to all the Pixel shills lurking in these threads.
> be me
> almost fell the meme
> not even PWM sensitive, used AMOLED for years
> went to phone store to check the look and feel
> severe eye strain (feel of fucking sand in eyes etc) after literally 5 minutes looking at these abominations
> staring to feel dizzy when I put the phone back after about 15 minutes
> go back home to google WTF it was
> PWM
> google more
> Google uses the most outdated and shitty screens with 240Hz PWM rate, literally shitting into your eyes and brains

Fuck all those shills. If you want Graphene just wait for Motorola or use a 'self-de-googled' (even if not entirely) phone from other brands. Fucking save your eyes. You've been warned

> inb4 shills with their 'But, but, chicken-butt I've been using Pixels and I am fine'
240 Hz TWO HUNDRED FUCKING FORTY HERTZ!
>>
>>108726001
pwmiggers are broken

>I used a phone for 5 minutes in a bright environment and then I got eye strain, fuck you google for using inferior pwm... uh... dimming?

It only matters (allegedly) in the dark at low brightness.

But seriously pwmiggers are going make us all sit through a warning message every time we boot our phone like the epileptics have us do on EVERY GAME because they get seizures. The difference being PWM sensitivity is a made up disease.
>>
>>108724540
The problem is that there are always bigger downsides than upsides when it comes to going outside of Samsung or Apple. Third-party support will always go to those devices first and so will major software implementation.
>>
>>108726107
Cope more, shill
As I said I have been using AMOLEDs from other brands for years. And only this shit flickers so slowly that your brain starts to fucking notice notice it.

iPhones are boring if you think about it. Also Apple's software recently has been buggy. Android is more interesting because of the increased customisability.

Conclusion: the best phone on the market is the Samsung Galaxy S26.

1. I doubt Mossad is spying on Samsung phones
2. If you're worried about AppCloud, an Israeli app on Samsung phones, just remove it with adb
3. China is a much more powerful country than Israel and China also hates western countries more than Israel does, so I think China is a bigger concern

China isn't blackmailing and buying out global politicians and controlling others nations through groups like AIPAC and the IDF though... than we also have the world's most dangerous and advanced smartphone spying software like Pegasus which comes from Israel too. The Chinese haven't been caught red handed in global PDF trafficking either. I'm not saying China doesn't have its downsides nor do I support it's government, but anyone saying China is more dangerous is lying on purpose. Samsung is the number 1 selling smartphone brand in Israel too, the Mossad favor it. Google also has a partnership with the IDF and they let it's AI be used to hurt and kill innocent civilians.

Hello, I have a recent issue. I bought a new iphone recently and everything was fine. Best thing was that when I checked my photos I could search a word and it’d search the photos with that very word in it so it was great to seek old stuff.
But recently after an update that function stopped working properly. What it searches is case by case now. Does anyone know a solution, if any?

Is mediatek really that bad? I need a new phone but I can't decide between the poco X7 pro or F7.
F7
>slightly better performance and battery
>overheating issues
X7 pro
>cheaper
>mediatek instead of snapdragon

wait for the next update and pray it works then

Just to be sure: it’s something that got lost through updates then?
Cause I’ll then wait and see but kind of weird they broke something perfectly functional

Mediatek is just another company. They've made stuff for a good while now it's not like they're straight garbage, they just occupy a slot on the market that might be analagous to AMD / Nvidia; They're used a fair amount but they can't touch the power and quality of snapdragon or apple silicon. You get what you pay for. I'm almost sure my phone has a mediatek cpu and it's never bothered me, but I don't give a fuck about high-power phones.
>>
>>108731379
They have a bad reputation from putting out the slowest of the slowest chipsets for ultra budget <$150 phones and having the worst attitude towards FOSS. They usually don't even abide by the GPL license of the Linux kernel and keep their binary blobs and chipset specific changes under nda or never releasing them at all, so you have tons of these phones with little to no custom ROM support (outside of GSIs)
>>
>>108731379
I wanted to say f7, because it already has a custom rom, but the x7 pro has it as well
>>
I'm looking to get a new/used phone. Budget is like 400 yuros max. I want to be able to install lineage or something and just run gapps contained. dual sim preferred, extra points for sd card.
I was thinking of sticking to sony/motorola phones since theyre kidna stock if I end up not finding a phone that I don't need to flash a rom

Finally got my S26 Ultra today, upgraded from the S21 Ultra.
Really nice phone, very zippy and responsive.
Display is better even with a new screen protector on vs no screen protector. Flat screen is preferable to curved. Speakers are noticeably louder.
Have to figure it all out to see if there's anything more interesting to do.

Oppo just showed off it's foldable against Smasnug, who have years of making foldables and still can't even innovate it to get rid of the crease.
