Everything is already from China, but here we discuss the cheap chink shit you see on various sites.
1st rule of /csg/: If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

Hey /csg/ I need your help.
I have a pair of these coolass old Sony speakers that I used as a kid that I loved the sound of. I recently found them again after cleaning and I was wondering : What chink amp or dac do I get if I want to connect these to my PC ?
Nothing fancy, just want them to work correctly and the sound is normal.
>>
>>108746011
get an aiyima amp not sure about wattage, look your speakers model online for more info.

>>108746689
I couldn't find any info about the wattage, even on a teardown video of the speakers, but the systems they came with seem to have been 80-100W. For desktop use you could easily get away with using a cheap TPA3116 amp, but you need to either have a power supply or pick up a laptop one.

You'll probably want to check the surrounds on the woofers too. I can't tell if they're foam or not.

Yeah, even though it was billed USPS (after the first one was seized by customs using the economy shipping line), it was delivered by a 3rd party last mile operator, not USPS.

Which clearly was the right move since it went from customs release to my door in under 15 hours, over 350 miles from the airport it landed at, on a sunday.

It's the Epstein elite. They saw how people are growing more and more unhappy and instead of throwing a few more crumbs their way like they used to do in the past they decided to go for total international surveillance of all people in the western world in order to control them and "make them content" with what they have (read: nothing), suppress any anti establishment sentiment, and stoke social tensions to distract us.

Problem is order is cancelled on my end, so I can’t just refuse delivery cleanly without dealing with return shipping myself

if I ignore it: risk account issues / blacklist?
if I pay: I’m basically rewarding their screwup + paying more than agreed

Send them a polite message to fuck off, you don't pay for someone else's mistakes.

They're free to ask the shipper to return to sender, but that's between them and the shipper and has nothing to do with you.

If they try to fuck with your account just show the platform your timeline of messages and that THEY'RE the ones who fucked up.

If you have any sort of purchase history on the account you're probably fine, these sites don't ban people who regularly spend money.

Sup fellow chiggers,

I'm looking for something that uses a temperature probe to control a power outlet. Purpose is to heat the chamber of an X1C to a fixed temperature while printing ABS/ASA.

A video I found recommends the Inkbird C206T, which is no longer made, but the C226T has replaced it. Problem: are these pieces of chinkshit made using mechanical relays? One Amazon reviewer talks about his C226T "clicking" on and off, so I assume that means it's a mechanical relay, not a solid-state relay.

This would be problematic since mechanical relays eventually weld themselves into an always-on condition. They're ok for things that require very intermittent cycling, but if I want halfway decent temperature control the relay will exceed its lifetime on/off limit in a few weeks of use. The aforementioned Amazon reviewer says his unit self-destructed in less than a month.

Anyone have a similar outlet controller that definitely uses solid-state relays and won't weld itself internally within a month?

It's not strictly the case, and many laws around them have been relaxed but state to state varies in terms of deployment, length and what constitutes as "concealed". It's all at the officer's perogative should it come down to it, and often a cpl helps in that direction.

I am looking for a tablet primarily for vertical browsing and watching videos, movies, tv shows and anime.

I was originally set on the oneplus pad 2 because the specs are incredible for the price, and it feels very future-proof. also, I’ve had a great experience with my oneplus phone’s longevity and clean operating system. however, I’m concerned about the 7:5 aspect ratio, which creates large black bars when watching stuff.

now, I’m considering the xiaomi poco pad m1 for $160 less. while the oneplus has better specs and display and I trust oneplus more than xiaomi, the poco’s 16:10 aspect ratio is better for watching stuff. should I go for the poco pad m1?

Since ali's shipping has been a mess and the amount of simultaneous ongoing projects is a clusterfuck, it feels like every day is csg package day.
more boring things:
heatset inserts heat and insert, to no one's surprise.
50mm long 8mm diameter rods are precisely those dimensions.
LM8UU bearings are greasy and ride smoothly on said rods. I only needed one, the other 9 are going in to storage where they will never be seen again.
2mm thermal pads that I no longer need.
hidance usb-c tester. best feature about is that it is bidirectional. beyond that , it works decently enough from the two minutes I played with it.
micro-usb-b to usb-c converter boards. The board is set up to that it can be soldered to the same pads that a micro-usb connector was desoldered from. two variants included for both micro usb orientations, and they even have the 5.1k resistors. the connection looks like it might be weak unless reinforced with a throughole lead or something.
Rin. I don't know what happened, six months ago I didn't own a single one of these figurines now I own two. It's a concerning trend. I am not a weeb. anyways, looks nice. the "solo" branding on the stove is upside down. was not expecting the book, cup, table, pot, lantern, stove, thermos, and table to come along as well but they're appreciated.

>under $100
you might not need to spend that much if you're going chink shit, for $100 you can get a genuine hakko f888d or a yihua soldering station with hot air included. keep in mind you will need more than just the soldering iron.
For chinkshit, there's the TS101/pinecil if you're willing to deal with usb-c shenanigans and a Gibbon t22C (?) that I've seen cropping in a few places with people recommending it. Might be shills.
There's also the ANENG SL106 if you want something sub $10. A few threads ago an anon demonstrated how even cheap soldering irons are good now, hopefully someone can raze the archives and find it.
Whatever iron you get check to see what tips it comes with, if it doesn't come with any additional ones check back in to see if anons can help you find the right tips to buy.
You will need flux and solder. 37/63 flux core in .5mm works best, but it appears the EU has started restricting it's import because lead might make euros retarded or something. I've heard though not confirmed that they're also looking at banning most common types of brass. People have found success with Mechanic's leaded 63/37 solder. I wouldn't fall for "silver" solder from ali if you want to fuck around with audio equipment and see it recommended.
For flux, M35 gets recommended a lot but I find it a bitch to clean up and it's...sticky. I like flux pens and kester 186 though those come with their own set of limitations as far as reliability and finding them on chinksites. Regardless, M35 does work.
You will also want a desoldering pump and braid. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256808718301256.html linkrel seems to be an exact copy of an engineer pump that I have, and there's no reason it wouldn't work just as well.
For braid, honestly, whatever braid. you'll have to cut it to length and use flux anyways.
You will also want some type of workholding. Hopefully someone else can chime in with this as I just use a vise from harbor freight.
>>
>>108776644
Thank you anon. I want a Hakko f888dx but prices are at a point where I wonder if its just better to get a chink station that has good compatible tips or if the Hakko really is that reliable for a first good station. Are used Hakkos good? And I've heard it stated that an F888DX is just too big for some of the more delicate smd components. So part of me was thinking of getting a Pinecil and just waiting for a potential sale on a Hakko?

As for hot air, I don't know if a $15 hot air station from Amazon is good enough. I picked up M35 since I saw it being talked about in the thread. Better get some lead solder before US might restrict it too.

we're already retarded, there's no need. Only way leaded solder would be banned in the US is if it were somehow be found to be antisemitic.

Why is the Temu website so shit? I really wanted to order a replacement housing for a Gamecube that I just bought that's in rough shape. They were selling it far cheaper than the usual suspects, aliexpress, SEA marketplaces, etc. I looked again today and the price was insanely low with a voucher they are offering so I wanted to order it so bad. I tried clicking on the item and it takes me to a page that says it's sold out. I thought they bait and switched me. Then I realized I can add it to the cart and check out so I did. >Even warm tints blast your room with other light tints as part of how they blend colors

>Using your phone to adjust the lights just gives you another excuse to pick up your phone

Literally just get some ultra-low lumen, warm tint globes. If you dont want to walk to the wall switch then get a bedside lamp with a shade large enough to prevent you looking directly at the bulb and help diffuse the light. I found fairy light globes were quite low in total brightness.

Ideally you should be spending at least 30 minutes before bed with zero electronics and using your damn phone to make the globe red or pink or strobe like an ambulance every 5 minutes isn't going to help.

what is gonna change for EU? are they gonna tax everything now?
>>
>>108782341
As far as I understand, at the latest July 1st all eu countries must have introduced a new tax/fee/whatever, 3 euros per product type, so if you order for example a usb cable, a dildo and a hitler lego figure you have to pay 9 euros extra for that, And then depending on what eutard country you are in, you can expect the postal service to take out a "handling fee" of perhaps 7-10 euros (they did this in my cunt back when they tried to punish chang enjoyers in 2018 or so). So basically order everything you need for the next couple of years now in may so you get it in june at the latest. Later on the changs will probably come up with something to skirt around it but the prices will probably increase even if they do.

By longer I mean ordering May3 and my “choice” shit getting into the plane on May9.
(I normally got my stuff in 6 days before placing the order.)

In fact, they removed the info claiming that they'll deliver in less than 7 days.

Are mmo mice a meme, and does chang make any good ones?
I just feel like I don't have the muscle memory anymore to play keyboard and mouse games that use lots of different keys and something like a mmo mouse would help with that.
>>
>>108791597
>keyboard and mouse games that use lots of different keys
such as? most games are limited in inputs because of gamepads
>>
>>108791597
Changs only make 1 version that is heavy and lack futures. For gaming apart from older MMOs they are rather shit. For work I'm using Aerox 9 (it's trash btw don't buy it) and I have lots of shortcuts and macros there, depends what u need. But next time I would buy Razer naga, Aerox 9 is trash in many areas, and chink stuff from AliExpress with 2010s gamer aesthetic doesn't look good

>>108788647
Hasn't happened to mine yet but they've got all kinda gunk stuck in there now. They shouldn't have used that exposed bearing design.
>>
>>108774056
Sometimes plastic screws are better if you have a light duty task where you're trying to reduce vibrations. For example, you can use them for PC fans, because they aren't a heavy load and it slightly reduces the noise transmitted into the case.

Denmark. Why they won't show batteries for controllers but are fine with camera batteries is a mystery.

probably because your country requires batteries form China to have some kind of safety standards certificate, so you wont see 90% of chang batteries

That works too. I needed to mount some fans on the underside of my GPU during a deshroud and I would have worried about these falling off, but I've never tried them. Maybe it'd have been fine. What do you reckon?
>>
>>108795095
They're a lot stronger than they look. There are a few different shapes too. The kind in the pic work fine as long as you just need it to be flush against a standard sized fan screw hole.

Today I learned that when you buy one of those dirt cheap external USB CD/DVD drives it's just an old one they harvested from some e-waste laptop put into a generic USB enclosure. The drive I had looks pretty beat up/ugly but you would never know looking at it from the enclosure alone. I can't complain because it was less than $10 and I ripped so many CDs with it. I only took it out of service because I replaced the drive with one that does bluray today too.
>>
>>108798399
would explain why i got so many external disk drives die on me super quickly
>>
>>108798412
The move would be to get a dirt cheap external enclosure off aliexpress then find a slim bluray drive from Japan. They're a bit more tricky to find elsewhere and a premium is being charged for them. Also if you go on aliexpress and look for a "bluray" drive you'll often see comments from people who got chinked saying the drive they were sold only reads DVDs and CDs. The yen being so weak means I keep mixing chinkshit with nipshit these days.
>>
>>108797108
Do they officially come with sd cards, or has the seller just bundled some cheap trash ones he found to make it seem like a better deal?
>>
>>108797108

>>
>>108799572
>Most people dont need one.
i thought i didn't either but i bought one on a whim just to increase my cart high enough to use a better discount code and you wouldn't believe how much shit comes off your tongue.
>>108798399
if that's the case you could probably skip the chinks and just buy an e-waste tier laptop with a dvd drive off ebay for 15 bucks and just harvest the drive.
my old ass laptop from 2013 releases the entire dvd drive from one screw and you can just plug it in through SATA on any computer.
>>
>>108799774
Well I needed a drive and an enclosure for the short term. The enclosure got reused for this bluray drive I just obtained for $22 that's in a lot better condition, but only 2 years older.

A fast spinning rainbow one would be great for this, but all so far are either fast spinning single colour, or rainbow colours but do less effects and are activated/toggled by magnet instead of button.

Also got one of these long brushes to clean some hard to reach areas, but it inevitably got misappropriated as a cat toy.
Its pretty solid thanks to the metal core, but the bristles are long and sturdy enough that I can't really hurt my cat with it. So I can wave it around making lightaber sounds, and actually knock the little guy over with it, which he loves.
Can't recommend it enough for 3 dollars.

I kind of prefer these ODI Elite knockoffs to the originals. OGs got that sticky soft rubber, while the knockoffs use a harder plasticy rubber material.
Only downside I found was the lockon bolts being made of butter so they started stripping the second I went above 5Nm torque, which is overkill for grips I guess but the bolts on my old grips could handle that all day long.
12 euro vs almost 30 for the originals is a steal though, especially since these feel like they'll last three times as long before they wear out (ODI grips lasted me 5 years)

Name is ODI Pro Black on Ali

A little 3D printed block that prevents windows and balcony doors from closing. We got these tilt style windows where I live and they constantly close and open by themselves when its a bit windy out.
These let me keep the windows on tilt all day and get better ventilation. Should have bought these 10 years ago when I moved into this place desu
