It won't be worth anything but if you want to waste 2-6 years of your life go right ahead.

As we can see here is a case study for becoming a tranny one post at a time.

I'm so tired.
First they gave us a $50 monthly budget for Claude code and told us to try it out.
We liked it in the engineering team and we asked to get proper licenses.
They gave us $200 monthly token limits, and let us go wild. It was great.

Then came the mandate from heaven, company bigwigs decided everyone has to use AI.
Now we have mandatory AI academy bullshit, offsite events to learn "AI first development".
A $1000 monthly budget of claude tokens and access to the biggest models.
I'm using maybe 20% of that monthly tops.
Now we found out through our TL that the company is doing all the retarded Goodhart's Law metrics imaginable.
Ranking teams and ICs on token usage, PRs and commits, LOC, AI % usage in repos, etc.
Now I spin up multiple Claude instances of Opus 4.7 max effort and have it scan the whole codebase and find improvements and then spin up other agents to adversarially attempt to fix shit.
We haven't had any outages, and our team has the best performance metrics pre-AI bs (no security incidents, no data leaks, no outages, etc). And now we are under the microscope for this retarded bullshit.

I can't even moonlight for my own personal projects with the $1000 budget because ofc the company version has the panopticon that potentially sees everything we do and knows which repos we are touching.

Prior to this, I was allowed to use the company budget on personal stuff as long as it was for learning purposes and not in direct conflict with the company, I brought many suggestions to the team from my own experiments on the weekend. Now I feel like everything is a trap.

I hate this shit.
I'm writing this as I have claude doing bullshit.
This bubble is going to burst so hard...

They said that about the stock market, the dot com bubble, mortgages. I just don't see it happening.

Company announces record revenue and profits, invest millions in AI bullshit, but only raises salaries the minimum allowed by law in each country it operates in. No bonuses, instead we get layoffs.

This is the earths cycle, the dinosaurs had the ice age, we get AI.

All our needs will be met and people will stop re-producing, it will cause an almost-extinction until the powers that be realise this, do a complete 180 and ban AI and people are encouraged to breed again.

>Cretaceous - Paleogene period: asteroid/volcanism - non-avian dinosaurs, many marine reptiles, ammonites, plankton, plants wiped out.
>Permian - Triassic period: Siberian Traps volcanism, anoxia - ~90% marine species, trilobites gone, many corals, brachiopods, terrestrial synapsids.
Triassic - Jurassic period: volcanism/CO2 - large amphibians, some reptiles, marine groups killed; allowed dinosaurs to dominate.
End - Ordovician period: glaciation/sea-level fall - brachiopods, bryozoans, trilobites, shallow-marine life gone.
Late Devonian period: anoxia/sea-level change - reef-builders, placoderms, jawless fishes destroyed.
Paleocene - Eocene Thermal Maximum period: rapid warming/ocean acidification - deep-sea foraminifera, marine calcifiers, some mammals extinct.
Pleistocene/Holocene megafaunal extinctions period: climate + early humans - mammoths, mastodons, giant sloths, saber-tooths, island endemics dead.
Snowball Earth period: near-global glaciation - most surface photosynthetic life erradicated; microbial survivors.
Antarctic glaciation period: major cooling/ice sheets - contraction of warm-adapted groups, ocean circulation shifts. More death.
AI - humans (now its our turn)

If china is any indication then that was never the goal or plan if it went south. Clearly they want this bloodbath to continue. Remember the Georgia Guidestones 500 million max world pop.

My younger brother who enrolled in shipbuilding and maritime polytechnic school last year just passed a selection where he will be working straight out of graduation in 2028 for 2k usd pay per month, and that's only the intern salary. He will also get a guarantee fulltime contract for around 4k-5k

This is why you spent your highschool taking various physical activities like running and gym and don't go to compsci

We live in third world shithole where most people will only make $300 for the rest of their lives

usually jobs like that have their own downsides
>paying with your body, won't be able to work past 50
>exposure to chemicals and the like
>isolation
>no career mobility
if you can get a good white collar job, the capacity for comfy is far higher

Not really. He will be a ship captain or something travelling all over the world. At 40 he will have achieved so much more than me, manning his own crews and shit maybe. Maybe 6 months at sea 6 months on land. The fuck im doing right here being paranoid by layoffs only making $200 a month.

I wanna know who thought it was a good idea to open up a new office in Pune, India and have it be the backbone of our cloud hosting division for customers. It's been nothing but a curry flavored shitstorm of unqualified retards. Even the American jeets on my team are getting fatigued

>supervisor tells me there might be a pending document change
>the change is adding a single "reviewed by" signature line at the end of 70 forms
>if this is released my supervisor tells me we're going to have to split the work and update like 50 forms online and print like 120 copies of a bunch of forms and turn them into binded books
yeah might just quit on the spot
this job has made me more miserable than unemployment
>>
>>108814254
The same advice I always give is: find a niche. There's plenty of obscure fields that most people don't even know about it and that are desperate for experienced workforce or young talents willing to learn. This is not 2011 anymore, you can't expect of learning a thing or two about JS or Python, get hired by some startup and make a fortune by writing web apps. That route is over.
>>
>>108813047
And the dot com bubble didn't burst? Are you legitimately retarded? Oh wait, we both know the answer to that question.

Got laid off from my Senior SE position, and after 5 months of applying, finally got something that pays even more (30k more), the issue is the fucking title, it is Solutions Developer. What do I do? I'm thinking I ask for a change after 3 months in or something, thoughts?

I'm sure you can come up with a solution. After-all that's what you're paid for.

>What do I do?
Nothing. Later, once you start applying to other jobs, change the title to this one to w/e you like better (within reason). Titles only matter once you move to director level or higher.
>>
>>108814640
How is it your fault that they have shitty documentation and incomplete tickets?

Being a Solutions/Product/Platform Engineering is on par with a Senior SWE according to corposhits. And to be fair, being a plain old SWE is starting to become toxic these days

Why didn't you ask for any help or backup? You aren't really expected to be self sufficient on day one, in fact it's preferable you ask questions
