>>108842144Its all fun and games until the music stops.Buckle up.
>>108842144Cope of the century. We are "encouraged" (sometimes even forced at proverbial gunpoint) to use AI at work. We don't pay for AI, work does. We can't afford AI because we may get paid 10k a month (actually usually quite a bit more), but taxes are a thing and cost of life is a thing and at the end of the day, we have much more important things to save for and buy.Yet, we don't actually use AI. We spin its wheels and then just write everything ourselves because it barely works for autocomplete and doesn't work at all for anything else. And on social media everyone pretends to be using AI and to not write any code these days, which is just the exact opposite of what browny here is claiming.
>>108842273>WeWhy don't you just speak for yourself tranny?
>>108842293Why would I speak for just myself when this is true for all of my coworkers as well, and all the peers I've ever chatted with?
>>108842273This. Give me a hug, my fellow FAANG prisoner.
>>108842301Then speak for your tranny infested org and peer group, duh.
>>108842144wrong. i hate ai slop. you have shitty devs dumping files of code and you have to spend like 3/4 of your day reviewing it all.
>>108842144I don't pay for claude code or anything for that matter.OP seems to be doing 'agentic coding' where the AI generates code, tests itself and rewrites it's code and ships it and all. I doubt anyone here can afford it and most people here just keeps asking the chat bot to generate code and then spend the next half an hour debugging the wrangled mess.
>>108842144They pay for it through layoffs
>>108842273ThisI keep being asked to use more AI and I keep having to show how shit it is for 90% of tasks

>>108842541This looks like someone shilling for Codex. His apps are all generic stuff.
>>108842565this.real vibe coders spend all their tokens on tuning their harness, not writing actual apps like plebs.
>>108842144>The funniest part?AI post
>>108842541No it can't. You'll run out of usage in 30m-1h even with the $100/month plan. People typically run 4 plans in parallel for this reason, even then it's too limiting. Incidentally, it also means plans/usage data for anthropic is heavily inflated.
>>108842618AI wouldn't miss punctuation
>>108842311holy underage
>>108842626we have deepseek v4 now. we can easily do all that for less than $10.

>>108842144I use AI at work and hate my job.
>>108842633>>108842510Absolute seething, rofl
>>108842638Yeah sorry I read a bit too fast. Everyone's on claude now and claude is ridiculously limited. Actually even with gpt you should have enough limit to work a few hours a day with the low plan. That said, the reason everyone's on claude is because their orchestration is the best, and all the models are shit (and getting shittier), so orchestration is the thing that makes them work (as it should be anyway). Even the work portrayed in that blogpost I don't actually think are doable with codex + gpt. Also, I always found that deepseek performs better or equal to gpt for 99% of tasks, but I have yet to see anything from anyone able to do even basic programming.
>>108842308What do faang negroes even do other than review incoming PRs from offshored Indian employees?
>>108842684It varies by org and team. Some work 80+ hours a week and/or get let go for "being lazy" even though 80%+ of the org's output is them alone. The rest just shoot the shit and press a button or two all day then go home early every day. They're the ones deciding which of the hardworkers get let go.
it's the golden age of programming. devs at amazon have so little to do now that they are making fake tasks to keep their token usage high.https://www.fastcompany.com/91541586/amazon-workers-pressured-to-up-ai-use-extraneous-tasks
>>108842728Or... they're forced to use AI, but also responsible for problems caused by AI code in the codebase, so they instead make fake AI tasks while they write the code themselves, because AI can't even replace interns yet.
>>108842653>everyone's on claude is because their orchestration is the bestdeepseek works with claude code:https://api-docs.deepseek.com/quick_start/agent_integrations/claude_code
>>108842706Considering the quality of average faang product, I'm not surprised that the ones who worked on the majority of it are the ones that are getting fired.
>>108842809Not wrong either, most of the hard workers are also shit workers, and largely worked that way because of visa status. That said, that's because of management that it's like that, obviously.
it's exactly as the twitter screenshot posted to 4chan says. i have hundreds of wfh jobs, every interaction from them with me goes straight to claude, i actually don't know who my employers are, i'm getting more jobs automatically as we speak
>>108842751Is that why Amazon is so shit nowadays? Because it's filled with trannies and diversity hires who refuse to use AI out of political solidarity with artfaggots and hatred for techbros?
>>108843603No, it's because employees are measured by their percent AI use instead of features delivered and bugs fixed while AI had yet to be able to reach the level of a shitty intern that gets fired one week in.
>>108843699So they used AI to write it and that's why it's shit and at the same time most of the people in the company don't actually use AI and only pretend to use AI to satisfy management and that's why it's shit? Can you make up your mind bro?
