For trade, anyone that's gotten through childhood schooling can pick up a trade, the reason it's in demand is because people prefer non-trades for obvious reasons, and non-trades jobs haven't yet been compressed into oblivion by AI. Automation will wreck basically all non-trades work, watch for all the inbound startups that (through sales, ironically) centralize digital work under software and/or remote support. Local IT teams can operate on skeleton crews if the tech infrastructure is in place, and the digital age is proliferating this tech infrastructure on-the-cheap. The herd of non-tradies will be considerably thinned and those job roles are all going to change.

About 15 years ago I was in your position. I had always discounted military service, but I felt I had no options, so I joined the air force for four years. It bought me time with okayish pay and easy work and I got a nice clearance out of it. You can have your school debt reduced/wiped if you join the military by the way. I just reached 4 YOE as software engineer. Same first job for the entire duration. I didn't chose Denmark randomly , every other country including Germany and France are seriously fucked. Spain has a lot of tech firms because salaries are low , just like all the south/mediterranean. Germans are anti tech, France is France , and Eastern Europe is depressing . Nordics are a parallel world and very tech niche . Denmark is the middle ground + you get strict immigration policies .
