Every time I look to possibly upgrade, I run new hardware up against my current build and just find it hard to swallow the price tag of current shit for the performance gain. I still get 85+ fps at 1440p in single player titles with a bunch of eye candy all turned up. Still getting 144fps+ on massive multi-player games.

Generally a dock is nice because it charges connects and often has extra ports and a mouse/keyboard already connected. But no you only need an hdmi. Charging and everything else can be done with the laptops usb ports.

Monitors - 3440x1220 @100Hz, 1920x1080 @ 75Hz

Obviously I'd like to get the most out of my GPU and plan to upgrade my monitors to 2x 1440p @144Hz.
It's my daily driver, used mostly for web browsing, work, occasional video editing and light production, although gaming is the thing I do most on it.

With the rereleased 5800X3D coming soon I'm tempted to go for that, but the 5950X is very reasonably priced too. I'm just unsure about which would benefit me the most overall. Personally not obsessed about getting extreme FPS counts, but would like to play games at high settings without choppy gameplay.

Also interested in monitor upgrade suggestions.

Arrow Lake doesn't scale well with memory frequency. Just tighten the timings, but if you just want to OC then you should be able to do much more than 7000MT/s if it's Hynix A or M-die RAM. You will be GPU limited anyway.

AMD CPUs have always been lagging behind when it comes to latency. Chiplet architecture has high latency by design. Run pirated aida64 memorytest or free latencymon and you see Intel perform better everytime and that translates into real world gains. For instance these figures are from Intel and are impossible to get on AMD. X3D can help improve latency but only for very very specific usecases whereas you get a lot more usecases if the architecture was built better.

Need Help Understanding Why My PS5 Looks Better Than My PC

Hello guys, I'm a newbie when it comes to PCs, so I have a question.

I mostly use my PC for gaming at native 1440p (2K) on the highest settings possible. I also own a **PS5** and a PC with an **RTX 5070 Ti.**

The thing that confuses me is that whenever I play almost any game on my PS5, it feels like I'm playing or watching a movie. But when I play the same game on my PC, it just feels like a normal game.

As far as I know, the PS5 uses AMD GPU technology, while my PC has an NVIDIA GPU. Performance-wise, my PC easily outperforms the PS5. However, when I compare GTA V Enhanced Edition on both platforms, no matter what settings I use on my PC, it just doesn't look or feel the same as it does on the PS5. The graphics, lighting, and even the sound feel better on the PS5, even though I'm using Enhanced Edition on both.

This made me wonder if it's because the PS5 uses AMD hardware. So now I'm thinking about getting an **RX 9070 XT**. Would switching to an AMD graphics card make my games look and feel more like they do on my PS5?

I'm still new to PCs and don't know much about hardware or graphics settings. On the PS5, I always choose the Quality mode when comparing it to my PC. On my PC, I use the highest settings, native resolution, and even lock the FPS to match the PS5, but it still doesn't have the same cinematic feel.
