Most probably. I think I screwed around with a lot of settings to get the 4200m inside the T540p to become a little livelier. And of course I swapped the same SSD over because I'm a lazy and cheap dickhead (but to be fair it's a 1TB Evo 870 and I've got like 4 years of stuff on it that I don't want to sort through).
>what is the powertop status?
Never used powertop, what exactly am I looking for?
Summary: 360.1 wakeups/second, 0.0 GPU ops/seconds, 0.0 VFS ops/sec and 15.2% CPU use
Meanwhile the idle has settled to around 56°C which is still too high for my taste, but as soon as I start Firefox it jumps back to 70°C.

How do I do that on Linux?

Actually I want to use nvidia optimus.

I'll have to get into powertop it seems.
