you are going to get a lot of anons being mean to you and saying negative things. let me give you actually helpful advice. this advice also goes for any other anons with "how do i become dev?" questions too.

you need one of three things.
1. know somebody personally that will get you hired. call that person and ask for a job. this is the most preferable of the three i am going to suggest to you.
2. extreme luck as influenced by an overwhelmingly positive karmic load. this is achievable by having done something great in a past life, like being a war hero or hitler.
3. invent a time machine.

akshually a while ago i fucked up and wrecked on my bike badly enough that i broke a street tree in half with my chest, arrived to work covered in mud and bleeding, and the only thing my coworkers had to say was that i looked like a jawa

i tried to joke back saying that I was back from my journey in the desert or something thinking he was having a giggle at how dirty i was and he just said "No, because you forgot to take your goggles off". even then the only thing else anyone said was my boss, a genuine vet, saying the bandage i slapped on to just not bleed all over paperwork was janky and that i should raid a first aid box for proper band-aids instead of having masking tape on my arm

they do not care and if your injury is light neither should you

actually another time i was going to my military unit and slipped the front (i braked on some black ice) and the only thing anyone had to say was asking why i had a mirror in my pocket (similarly the only damage then was snapping a mirror off). i had to do my FORCE test that day though so i kept it quiet that i had fallen (still passed sprinting on a bruised knee and chain smoking to soothe myself)

Sabotage. Get an LLM to do the work so it's plausible but subtly bad. Deslop the output so it looks human but don't fix it

This is what I'll end up doing for sure. Every project delivered on time or ahead of schedule, positive feedback by my manager on every 1:1 and then I get hit with "leadership froze hiring" right after they turn every single contractor to full term employment but me. kek fucking hell I'm seething just by typing it.

I'm getting the vibes that my immediate and skip management were planning to keep me but got surprised with this unprecedented hiring freeze (this never happened before).
Tbh others probably just got turned full term because they joined before me and would have been kicked before me but it's still such a cucking that I'm willing to fuck everyone else over for it, you're telling me the company is going to collapse if they keep one extra nigga? Bro...

IMO you should just leave if you can, not play games. let them crash and burn. they might even learn a thing and end up calling you back.
>>
>>109686466
That smells like budget issues/H1B future slavery. You have to realize we're just inputs to an industrial engineering function, and your inputs were too expensive long term. You warranted a senior dev salary.

If you want to doscuss how an H1B/international outsourcing is a short term bandaid that fucks the economy in the long run and leads to exploitative work conditions, that's a seperate issue. (nB4 angry Milton Friedman posting)

I don't understand what the use for JIRA tickets is atp. Anyone who can write a ticket can certainly paste it into Claude instead of submitting to the JT board. Then why not just do it? The only reason I can conjure is that the company might be behind in its AI integration strategy, but if that's the case then there are higher priorities to lend attention to than anything a JIRA ticket could be asking for.

>>109689108
Oh we'll get there, we're still in the transition phase but if there's no crash when LLM companies raise their prices, SWE will surely be phased out leaving only architcts
>>
Do you think posts like >>109689108 are bait, bots or genuine delusion? I can imagine what mess of a shithole someone's company need to be for this to make sense. Even then, you would realize
>>
>not the O(n^3) path
>>
>>109689208

It's more often true than not that companies go overboard with ticket documentation autism and bureaucracy when most work items can be reduced to a few fields

this is especially maddening when the product/business side doesn't even do their job on it so it's of no use to you, description/requirements wise
>>
Office faggots decided to mandate 4 days ITO from 3 with fixed days so it's back to the application grind.

Genuine delusion. Probably a kid who hasn't had a real job yet, knows what jira is, but doesn't understand having different departments have different responsibilities at a company.

theres combinations of all 3 in these threads. people spamming pointless inane baits, bots advertising, and legitimate retards.

at some point in the very near future this general will be like the rest of 4chan where half of all the posts are noise from advertising, bots, and time waste trolls. completely unreadable.

we gave the third world the internet and to everyone's surprise, it now sucks just like the third world they are connecting from. who could have possibly foreseen this?
