That's a nuisance as my download is sluggish. There seems to be an update every two weeks, what are they doing with the font package even?

some packages are surprisingly large when dealing with the actual sources like gentoo has. not specifically familiar with noto since i don't really care about rendering fonts i can't read, but i suppose i'm not that surprised.

Is there an chance PC part prices go down, or are they only going to get worse and worse?
I'm thinking about biting the bullet and investing in a shitton of VRAM and RAM to last me a long time, but if the prices are gonna go down in the near-ish future, I'll just wait a bit more.

I need a video editor for shitty online edits. I thought about getting vegas pro because i remember it being easy to use, but I don't know which version I should get. Any advice? I'm open to more options. Premiere has a lot of qol features like transcribing that could be useful.

I Asked in the previous thread, but it reached the bump limit.

There are two ways to specify the start of a function in C.

One:
int fact(n)
int n;
{
int x;

if (n < 2) return(n);
x = fact(n - 1) * n;
return(x);
}

Two:
int fact(int n)
{
int x;

if (n < 2) return(n);
x = fact(n - 1) * n;
return(x);
}

K&R uses the second method. Some other C books use the first method. Recent versions of GCC complain about the first method. Older GCC and current TCC accept either way without complaint. SAS C on the Amiga back in the day accepted either way. I've been using the first method since the 90s and honestly I can't remember why.

Is there a story as to *why* there are two ways to do this?

You're very old. The first method was the original method, then the second one came as an alternative. Then people preferred the second one so much over the first one that the first one was abandoned in use. Nowadays the second one is standard almost everywhere in modern languages so the first one is considered a distraction and antiquated. Newer compilers warn you about the first one because it's harder to read than the second one.
This is off the top of my head. You can use google to find out more.
>>
>>109980065
based on what i read online:
k&r c didn't have a way to put parameter types in header files, which wasn't great if you cared about type safety
barney strawsoup fixed this for his c++ language by adding the non-k&r syntax, which was added to the c standard later, but c compilers couldn't just remove the old way and break all code ever, so some still support it to this day

I have a question that I can legit find no answer and apparently neither can any AI I've tried.

I recently registered an i2p domain on reg and stats i2p. The website resolves fine if you use the full string+ .b32+.i2p. It appears on reg but the problem is that entering the website itself doesn't resolve, you must use one of the other two stupid long addresses on the browser and this is keeping me out of the 'alive' list on reg despite my website being alive for over 48 hours.

I'm at the end of my rope and I've kind of resigned myself, there are only 1240 active websites on i2p, there are barely any guides on this shit and apparently many others are having this issue because most of the 'new' sites on reg I've tried are also failing to resolve with a domain name.

Before you give me the answer I've been given over and over, yes I've added reg and stats to my [addressbook].

It sortof doesn't matter. Everyone has a horror story, but in reality failure rates are extremely low. I have a probably decade old Seagate 2.5" drive sitting on the desk next to me that still works fine. We have some random WD drives at the office that are even older. Don't knock the drive around and it will likely last a longass time.
Do note that some of the 3.5" drives are repackaged server drives and are loud as hell. Checking reviews of any specific drive is recommended.

I had a bit of a situation yesterday and I'm too ignorant to understand how concerned I should be, if at all.
Bitdefender real time protection quarantined a file in Firefox cache, said it was infected with CMD:Heur.BZC.PZQ.Pantera something.
Now, I did a quick search on that and I found out that "Heur" stand for Heuristics, which apparently means that Bitdefender found a file that -behaves- suspiciously like a Trojan. Also, I read that since it's on Firefox cache, it didn't actually get executed or anything, meaning that whatever it was, it was quarantined and then deleted before actually running.
Are any of those things correct? I didn't download anything yesterday, not even pictures. I was literally just browsing 4chan, Amazon and Facebook (yes, yes I know...)
I deleted Firefox cache and ran a full system scan with Bitdefender, didn't find anything that time.

>because opengl no longer reflected what gpus had become.
>what gpus had become
And what's that exactly? What's the difference between old and new GPUs?
I have a rough idea what CPU and RAM and the old 2D cards do but no idea on 3D accelerators.
>>
>>109987721
initially (including voodoo cards) gpus were fixed-function accelerators. they were chips physically designed to perform specific calculations relevant to processing 3D graphics and nothing more. they were not programmable.
later gpus (like early-mid '00s) started getting more programmable functionality, that is you could upload simple programs to the gpu for it to run, usually still focused on graphics processing.
over time this progressed to the point where they could be programmed to perform tasks not necessarily relevant to graphics. this is where things like CUDA came into existence, using "gpus" for things besides graphics. eventually directx and opengl had to be updated to reflect this, expose gpus more for what they had become rather than what they were originally designed to be
>>
>>109987721
>>109987836
also fun side fact: voodoo cards used an api called glide. if you've used a voodoo card you will have seen that name before, but did you know glide was actually a subset of opengl?
opengl actually goes futher back than most know, to the early '90s. it was originally developed by SGI for their professional graphics workstations. given its lineage, opengl had a lot of features not really relevant to real-time 3D video games, so voodoo instead only implemented a small part of opengl in their silicon, the parts games needed.
>>
>>109986438
No. Could be switched by a transistor somewhere up the line. Could be wired on totally different paths for that matter. There's nothing that says they all have to have continuity with each other at all points on the board.
>>
>>109987968
there's also multiple rails to consider. at the very least any power supply made from about the late '90s have separate rails for 5v and 5vsb, that is "5v" is the one that is used when the computer is turned on, and 5vsb is the one that is powered even when the machine is "turned off" (5v standby). 5vsb is responsible for powering certain parts like ram when the machine is in standby and may also provide power over usb when the machine is "off" for functions like being able to turn the machine back on by pressing a button on the keyboard/mouse or over a network via a magic packet
>>
>>109987836
So, if I'm reading it right... The older APIs like DX11 couldn't keep up with how ever programmable GPUs were becoming?

>>

I just have Foobar and Process Lasso opened right now.

>>
>>109988083
to the best of my knowledge, yes. gpus had evolved to the point of being general-purpose programmable co-processors independent of graphics tasks, and vulkan/d3d12 reflect that more accurately.

we shouldn't really even be calling them "gpus" anymore, if not for them still mostly being used for graphics tasks. maybe sometime in the near future we'll have a new name for them.

I once asked here, if there was any reason why a living brain couldn't be made into a computer
I was told that it wasn't possible and that brains are nothing like computer chips.
I recently found out that they did it. people are using brains as computer chips as I type this to train ai. and the brains are more energy efficient too.

>>109992973
You can add modules to an existing kernel. Module is jargon for a part of a kernel that exists as a file - as opposed to the code being in the kernel image itself.
Examples of out-of-tree modules: some too new Wi-Fi chip support, XFS filesystem, in some cases the support for encrypted WireGuard tunnels and obviously the closed source Nvidia drivers.

>Flash chips ain't RAM.
not him but his question does call attention to the fact that ai models don't use ram in typical ways, like the models while in use are entirely read-only. i wonder if there is a more cost-effective technology than regular ram for running models off of.
like, why can't flash be used? people have used flash in place of mask roms before and the main down side is that they're slower to /write/ to than ram, which isn't an issue once your model is loaded, so why can't we use flash?

I know memory leaks are a thing, where the longer software is left running, the more memory it gradually uses up regardless of how much stuff it is actively having to load at that moment.

Are cpu leaks a thing? Working, someone has to pay the bills. Doing shit for free is just asking to be exploited by assholes, which is everyone these days
>>
>>109997190
basically yes, actually
i had a persistent issue with firefox where leaving a comfyUI tab open (idle) and then putting the computer into sleep and waking it up it would peg a CPU core to 100% until I restarted the browser completely. i'm sure this behavior isn't completely exclusive to comfyUI so it's clearly something that can happen

idk if this particular bug was ever fixed cause after a month i just switched all my comfy usage to chrome
>>
>>109997650
while not with comfyui specifically (i rarely suspend by desktop which is all i run comfyui on, and i rarely leave comfyui open when i'm not actively using it), i have seen programs that, when suspended for long periods, will cause excessive cpu usage for some time relative to how long the machine was suspended. my educated assumption is that the program has some task it normally does regularly, and when real time suddenly jumps forward, it then does that task over and over until it 'catches up'.

I have two stripped down, secondhand computers - both micro-ATX, if I'm not mistaken.

One has an A10 5800K and the other has an i7 2600K. Both should have a working, corresponding cooler. As far as memory, I have several sticks of DDR3, a few HDDs, and a couple SSDs to spare. Neither mobo supports M.2 and I only have one working, 300W PSU - the other one (750W) I gave away to and then borrowed from an old neighbor of mine, and it may be defective. I also took all the case fans from one of these two spare computers and put it into my main rig for maximum cooling.

I also still have my old R9 390 that I'm considering using to learn and practice GPU cleaning, since it may be a little bit broken (but it still outputs video and runs okay-ish).

Any cool, fun, creative, and/or useful ideas on how to repurpose one (or both) of these machines?

I'm looking for a set of small desk speakers to accompany my audio set up. Something humble for a reasonable price without sacrificing too much audio quality (though concessions are easily made in that department). I need something to fill the air in my room while doing chores, but Samson speakers are all gigantic and expensive and I don't know what other companies to look at for this.

What do you all recommend?

I don't use any AIshit though, I just have like 4chan, twitter, plebbit and various other normal internet browsing tabs open though

It also happens with Vivaldi, not just Firefox.

Could it be different software that's causing gradual increased constant idle CPU load over time? I can't think of anything else that would cause as much as the web browser though

I also do need to stress when I say 900 tabs, I mean like 900 tabs, if not more like 1500+. I'm not being hyperbolic.

I'm trying to find a way to store data for constant object attributes within C++. Would it be better to store my object data under a YAML file and parse using yaml-cpp at the start of the program to get the information, or should I directly store it within the project files directly and using functions to directly pull the data?

I'm upgrading from a 5600x to a 5800x3D with a Scythe Fuma 2 air cooler this weekend. Should I keep the default fan curve or is it better to make it custom with this new CPU? From what I've read it runs quite a bit hotter than a 5600x.
Values I'm seeing online:
- <50°C = 30%
- 70°C = 60%
- 80°C = 90%
- >85°C = 100%

I'm planning on doing the commonly accepted undervolt on it (-30).

Go to control panel -> power settings -> edit plan -> advanced power settings -> processor power management / max cpu and set it to 99%. Tool calls.
Llm outputs something like <tool_call tool="search_web">web query goes here</tool_call> and then outputs end token. Backend sees this, replaces the tool call with the result (contents of pages etc.) and reprompts the LLM to continue right from there. It's roughly this

Is there any way to still effectively search for words on 4chan archives like desuarchive, archived.moe, arch.b4k.dev, 4plebs, archiveofsins etc that are below the minimum 3 or 4 character limit?

I thought maybe putting asterisks around the word might work, since those act as wildcards, and it would technically make the search string 2 extra characters longer, but at least on archiveofsins, that just results in me getting posts that, say, contain "hello" or "sahel" when I searched *hel*, NOT any posts that actually just contain "hel" (obviously nobody actually says "hel" as it's own word, that's not really what I searched for, i'm just using it as a random example)

I wouldn't mind if the results had posts with "hel" AND "hello" etc, but that's not even what happened, the former were still excluded

Also, why does *webm in the filename field work to show all webm files in archived.moe, but *mp4 shows zero results?

It's a bit of a long story but the person behind Omarchy is DHH. The creator behind ruby and ruby on rails.
The controversy behind Omarchy is that DHH has been anti-AI for quite a while and had some pretty reasonable takes about programming but recently seeing the new models he took a complete 180 and now is sucking on the AI cock hard. (Not saying it's a bad thing or a good thing) which led him to do some crazy stuff and unfiltered ideas without a single forethought such as re-writing parts of his distro in x86-64 assembly only to have another guy re-write the WHOLE THING with rust like 3 days later. He pretty much gave up reading and writing code, he said in a Ruby conference that he completely doesn't care about code anything and he doesn't even use Ruby (a language the he crated) or even care about it anymore and told every one in the conference to just "re-write it in rust bro".
So that got a lot of people upset and Omarchy is pretty much is getting a bit of flak. Since he is calling his distribution an "AI first" where if a program crashes the system itself will call an agent to troubleshot and try to fix it without you knowing or being able to read what it's doing.

Hi, so I've got a problem and I didn't know where to post.

Yesterday I've downloaded a renpy game (I was thinking with my dick.... sadly), after that my antivir Avira found trojan during launch and “blocked” it and deleted the file, nothing else happened after but later that day my Gmail got logged off automatically which ticked me off (I've been logged in for months with my session) so I started to check my pc for other stuff, logged into Gmail and changed password and placed 2way verification (via phone). Also it showed that someone tried to log in from outside my country (in the gmail log in history but that log in had no country of origin). After changing password I wanted to check if my new password works with phone verification but after relogging google blocked my accoun with some message “we cannot check if account is yours” which was automatic prevention (48-72hrs) . I ran Malwarebytes (it found 76 issues and resolved them, I ran AdwCleaner it didn't find anything other than my preinstalled HPSupport programs, HitmanPro found something and also resolved the issues, I ran Kaspersky, it found HEUR:Trojan-PSW.MSIL.Convagent.get and cured it. My question is what should I do now? How do I get rid of this stuff if I've already scanned and “removed” them once. What stuff could have been stolen or used (I don't use this laptop for anything else than youtube and gmail but there could be some stuff on my Gmail with some of my purchase history etc). Is there a possibility of my other PC's getting infected? I got a router but this laptop is connected via TP-LINK Deco which is connected to my WiFi router. I could really appreciate some help from people that know this stuff. To add I've programmed some stuff so I got some understanding about the topic but in no way I am some tech wizzard.

whenever you have any concern about an infection, wipe the drive and reinstall your OS clean - yes this sucks and is annoying, no you cannot get around it with any reasonable degree of safety

after that, go reset/change all your passwords and shit for any account that could have been accessed from the device when it was infected

I'm using Firefox and I'm trying to copy and paste from a site. But the site is protected and I can't right click. I can't even use Select All.
Right now as a workaround I'm using NoScript to block CSS and scripts which loads the page that allows copying. But I need to copy large amounts of pages (400+) and this method is slow. Is there a faster way of doing this?
I kinda wanted to save the page using Save As, but after opening it locally the copy protection is still there. How do I remove copy protection from a website page I downloaded?
>>
>>110023212
try reader mode, or shift-rightclick or control-rightclick

Shift right click doesn't work. It only lets me right click to bring the menu up but I can't highlight the texts.
However using reader mode works. It strips the protection and I can highlight the text and copy/paste them properly. Hopefully this is enough for most of the websites I want to copy text from.
Thanks a lot. I honestly forgot about reader mode and I feel retarded about it. Glad I didn't have to rely on OCR since the text isn't in English.
>>
>>110023212
There are a couple of Absolute Right Click & Copy addons for firefox that prevent some stuff like that.
But if you want to automate it you could try curl in the command line to save the html, then extract the text. Maybe ask an ai chatbot to make a bash/powershell script that does it.
>>
>>110023565
I found an easier way, save the page as txt. It just saves the text and nothing else. Then I just copy the text I need.
>Absolute Right Click & Copy addons
Every addon I tried doesn't seem to work on this specific site.

How do I stop Firefox from eating up all of my disk space? Seriously this is fucking ridiculous.

I'm at the limit on my SSD and Firefox keeps cacheing the fuck out of everything. I cleaned up 60MB of disk space yesterday evening and less than an hour later was suddenly completely out. So last night before I went to bed I cleared 300MB. I haven't downloaded ANYTHING while I was asleep. I wake up, reconnect to the internet, don't download anything on my own, look at my disk space now and it's down to 230MB. Somehow Firefox has eaten up 130MB of disk space for no apparent reason. I've barely even looked at anything yet.

Yeah I know clean up the old crap off my SSD. I do it as I need it, I've cleaned off 10GB since the last time I did a complete archive, which has lasted me five months even with one full-length feature film eating up 3GB that I keep meaning to watch.

Pic of my girlfriend for attention. Tributes and comments will be passed on to her.
>>
>>110023870
Just in the time it took to post that, it's eaten up another 3MB. The only web page I've even opened is this one. FFS.

Okay, I decided to make my next project an imageboard. I want there to be live elements but I don't want there to be a continuous stream of posts flooding threads. I instead want it to be like XenForo forums where it simply puts a notification saying that new posts have arrived in the thread. I'm wondering whether I should use polling, SSEs, or websockets. If I went with websockets I would probably use Elixir/Phoenix but that feels like overkill. If I went with polling or SSEs i would use Node/Express.js

What would you go with initially and what would you go with long term?

I'm losing my mind. Some Ctrl shortcuts on my hp pavilion laptop keyboard have suddenly stopped working (Ctrl+Z/C/V/X/T), while others still work just fine (Ctrl+N/A). This started happening out of nowhere today, and it affects both the left and right Ctrl keys. The letter keys themselves work fine. I have no idea how to fix this. I've updated windows 11 and my drivers, disabled some keyboard remappings in powertoys (although none of them involved the ctrl key), and made sure sticky keys and filter keys are turned off. The rubber pad under the left Ctrl key has been misaligned multiple times in the past, and I've had to remove the keycap to readjust it. I'm not sure if this has caused any issues, but both Ctrl keys (left and right) are only failing with certain shortcuts, not all of them. Has anyone experienced anything like this or have any idea how to fix it?

Websockets are relatively easy and simple. If you want live updates ASAP it's probably the best way. Javascript supports websockets just fine btw, so the choice between Nodejs and Phoenix should be purely based on what language you want to use IMO.
The benefit of polling is that it gives you an API endpoint that anyone can check statically, and normal HTTP requests are a bit less faff than websockets (i.e. you can just curl it, and there's no equivalent for sockets, you need a tiny nigger-rigged script to set up the connection and get the event to do the same thing). So it's friendlier to third-party clients, extensions, archives, etc.

Given that your goal is actually to reduce the visual load of live updates and be more minimalist, I think polling every 5s or 10s should be fine. It's how 4chanx works for example, and I've never felt like I was missing out on updates from the polls being 5s apart; your board is almost certainly going to be way slower than 4chan and again since you're intentionally making the update less in-your-face I don't think you need instant delivery since it's not like you're making an instant messaging UI.

I have no idea whatsoever about SSEs. It's well supported in browsers from what I can see, but it was invented like 22 years ago and I've never seen it used before. So it almost seems like something that was standardised in the ancient past, is well supported just due to its age, but nobody really used it and it's been obsoleted since then (with stuff like websockets). And you can almost certainly just be fine and perhaps better off with occasional polling.
But maybe I'm just ignorant and SSE is perfectly fine to use and I just happen to have never noticed it before.

Protonmail is unfortunately the only one that's generally seen as acceptable (by social media, tech websites, etc.) and doesn't require your cum samples to sign up.
>compromised
Protonmail has issues, namely that it will comply with law enforcement requests for user data, and that its encryption only works if you use the webapp AND if you talk to other protonmail users - so their marketing is very misleading.
If you want to do shady shit, ideally don't do it over email, but if you do then use PGP yourself. If you use Proton, just connect over a VPN, and don't give them payment details (really don't pay them in general, but that's how the stories of people getting arrested from protonmail came about - if you really have to pay, use bitcoin that's freshly swapped from monero, and again obviously not your clearnet IP).
If you're not doing shady shit then it doesn't really matter.

The only question is whether they sell your cleartext emails to advertisers, and I don't know, but it's also impossible to avoid nowadays. Just don't self-doxx to them. Proton does have a business model for actual revenue from paying customers, so that already puts it way ahead of google and yahoo in that respect; their marketing is also all about privacy so if it came out they were selling you out to advertisers it might nuke their entire company. I think that's the best you can get in the modern world, you just have to trust that they're not being so greedy that they're doing it anyway.

The other alternatives are shit like cockli but it's always playing roulette on whether some website accepts a cockli signup or not. It might work on more things than you'd expect sometimes, so worth a try, but you can't rely on it for everything.

>Okay but why is seemingly noone offering a product where you can detach the ribbon as close as possible to the paper?
There has to be somewhere for the wires to connect that control the pixel matrix in most flat panel display technologies. With OLED you can actually fold that section behind the screen to reduce bezel size on the phone or whatever device. I'd assume it's possible on epaper. But there needs to be demand for it.

I just bought a USB C/displayport/hdmi etc hub to use so I can have a USB C cable go from my laptop to the hub, then a displayport cable to one monitor, and an HDMI cable to another monitor

But even when I'm just trying to output to my main display via the displayport cable, it doesn't work right: The monitor detects an input and turns on, but then it says no signal detected and shuts itself off. If I open my laptop lid to mess around with the display settings, I notice that often my windows will constantly freeze and then unfreeze, which I suspect(?) is the display output coming in and out of being detected by the PC, even if the external display doesn't constantly turn itself on and off. Furthermore, even after removing the usb c cable from my laptop, windows acts as if a second display is still plugged in in the settings menu

Any idea how I can troubleshoot this to determine if the issue is the hub, the USB C cable, or the displayport cable?

I tried setting my laptop's refresh rate to 60hz in case it was trying to show two 1440p 165hz displays at once and that was too much for the hub, but that made no difference. Duplicating vs extending the display didn't seem to make a difference either.

This: https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin/comments/1ppxm5v/external_monitors_blink_in_an_out_when_on_dock/?sort=top sounds very similar to my issue and my laptop is also a lenovo laptop, but there's a mix of responses here, and the main thing proposed, which is EM interference, is something I have no meaningful way of troubleshooting that: I have a wireless mouse, wireless speakers, a wireless keyboard, a external HDD plugged in, a cooling pad, gaming consoles in the room, an overhead fan, etc.

Could bending the cables cause it? I did loop the cables over themselves and then flattened them (as in, so rather then a circle, the looped part is parallel to the unlooped part of the cable, like stacked flat lines).

What 4chan extension do you use anon? I use 4chan xt but it's no longer being maintained and has a lot of bugs. I want to use the base extension as that is maintained but it's missing the best feature from xt which is recursive reply hiding for poster ids on /pol/ (inb4 /pol/tard)

On 4chan x base: If I filter a post + replies, it only filters that post and its replies. If I filter that poster's id, I still see replies to its posts.
On 4chan xt I can do both. I can filter a single poster's id and replies and permanently hide all new posts from that id including replies to those new posts. Doing that can massively clean up the thread.

Is there a maintained extension for NIGGERTITS that has the latter feature?

>Is there REALLY any difference between mp3 and flac?
Yes. There's a mathematical difference. Whether or not that difference is perceptual is up to interpretation.
Be aware that if you burn .mp3 files to a CD then some players might not play it because CD players as per the redbook spec were never really meant to play mp3 files. If all you have is mp3 files, and you want to burn them onto a CD, you're best of transcoding them to 16-bit/44.1khz wav files. The difference between flac and mp3 is basically picrel and the audio clip here: https://files.catbox.moe/beqpkm.wav
The song is deadmau5 - XYZ

I see, thanks for the detailed response anon. I'm not intending for any 'shady' stuff; it's largely just for launching some social accounts for creative projects. I value privacy where I can get it, but I want a consistent experience without getting hit by host filters or whatever. I heard Tuta is good, but maybe more limited on features and inbox size, and possibly at higher risk of being filtered. So, I'm trying to be mindful.

yes but they're generally all paid, so you have to spend $0.5 or $1 or so on your SMS verification

Yeah IPS has definitely improved, you can update in refresh rate and resolution
VA is very hit or miss yes. OLED is in a kind of unclear position where it's fine if you only need it for like 5 years, but you're still definitely not keeping an OLED monitor for 10+ years. TN has definitely improved too, but really the only reason to get it is if you want a 700Hz monitor for esports gaming.
Otherwise just get a 240Hz IPS, either 1440p or 4k.

Thanks anon, I thought the name was similar, but searching for it without the 'k' spelling gives me the prison instead.

Is it better in your opinion? I have a Proxmox server running so I could use that instead if it's better.

Also related I have an older version of hydrus on desktop that I want to clean install onto the Proxmox server. The issue with hydrus is that its wiki is somehow obtuse and I can't understand what things do unless I try it myself. I'll miss the booru-style tagging, but if either of the above are better then I would go with those.

I've got an old Windows 7 machine that is sometimes INCREDIBLY slow to basic tasks, liking opening a program or even right clicking. It didn't used to be. All its hardware is comparible to another W7 computer of mine that runs normally. My only guess now is that the cpu is overheating and I should repkace the ancient thermal paste. Does that sound right? Or is there some other cause I could be missing?
>lol virus
nope, ruled out
>lol upgrade
thanks bud, i have a modern computer. i'm trying to fix THIS computer.

You could:
- Open Task Manager and see what's hogging up CPU/RAM
- Defrag
- Check HDD/SSD health with CrystalDiskInfo
- chkdsk

I have a really stupid one. For years youtube videos defaulted to theater mode. Suddenly they stopped and I have to activate it manually. Nothing stands out as a cause. I can't figure out a way to revert this. Help?

I am completely new to hardware, so my questions may be stupid. I want to run ai locally cause im tired of all these tokens running out plus i want to make websites, gen images/videos etc. i have an old thinkpad t420 and a dell inspiron 15 3567. I understand neither of these can run ai kocalky, but can they be upgraded to? if so how?

Otherwise what would be the cheapest way to get ai running locally?

My friend is having a problem playing a downloaded flash game with the newgrounds player. She's running into this error and neither of us know what to do about it since we're both slightly retarded. We've tried fresh installs of everything, and ruffle slightly works but there's no audio. She's on windows 11. What do?

I'd do a ramcheck first

there's this fork that fixes a couple of things: https://github.com/nick-s-b/4chan-xt

sfc /scannow
one full pass with memtest+
Try swapping out the power supply if you get memory errors. 90% of the time if it's hardware it's power or memory or bad power eats memory.
>>
Also make sure it's plugged directly into a wall outlet, I had the same issue because it was plugged into a power strip.
>>
should i make the api first or the frontend?
