Chinese are ahead, for their aims. Their aims are to dilute the value of the Frontier. As long as China is able to distill the Frontier models they are winning. They can't stop distillation because in order to stop distillation you basically make serviceability, debugging, and insight into reasoning traces impossible. That violates the tenants of AI safety so you have to stop the scraping by looking at network logs instead of using a more systemic solution. China has massive botnets. They can match a residential real Chrome fingerprint trivially. It's piss easy for them.

So far Hermes has failed at every task I gave it.
My 20 dollar subscription has been a waste of money or maybe phone coding doesn't work.
All it does is half assed projects that never reach completion no matter how much I use /goal or endless queued prompts.
It was better in the summer when I made it create websites that worked fine instead of doing clean room decompilations of games.
Maybe AI can't do shit and the people who create stuff with it are actually doing something else?

has anyone solved the complexityslop problem that all these LLMs are affected by? the minute i stop carefully reviewing code, all models I've tried add vastly unnecessary amounts of abstractions and scaffolding that make the resulting application harder for the agent to work with in the future while providing no gain for the project.

i know that my code reviews are the bottleneck here and i know i need to review less to get more throughput out of these models, but i don't know how to be less hands-on while also making sure the AI doesn't take a massive shit on the codebase

So as a kid I played minecraft on the console primarily, and the studio that made the game reworked how crafting works vs the PC version entirely. In the console edition you don't have to remember shapes at all, so I think that'll be the first thing I change in minetest. Having to recall shapes is hard.

Still working on importing freelancer into X4 foundations. Vibecat and astra have got NPCs, animated doors, and Trent’s model attached to an X4 skeleton. There are corridors and elevators between the bar, equipment trader, ship trader etc and they all have cohesive textures. You can even go outside on the landing pad and look at skyscrapers although that was such a zoomed out area in the original that it’s very glitchy.

I had the cutscenes working in free look but the problem is the NPC animations only ran based off the cutscene camera angles, so there’s jerky stop start animations that way, so right now I’ve got it back to having it play the original cutscene. I’m sure astra can interpolate between animations and fix that up later.

Sol was really struggling and going round and round in circles but astra is getting it done.

Literally. If the United States is the adversary of the CCP, and the US economy is upheld by AI, surely distilling the frontier intelligence and making it cheaper at scale is one way to engage in economic warfare?

DeepSeek and Alibaba do not have to do the hard engineering that Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI do, they can just distill the models of the frontier companies and they have literally been caught doing this.
>>

This is something the Chinese government does with lots of things, not just AI. They do it with miltech too. They literally will find the PDFs that detail the engineering behind a US army jet and then literally just build the jet. And they don't have to get scammed by Lockheed Martin so they save a lot of money
>>
>>110226234
look at the benchmarks. the chink distillation cannot keep pace and the gap between us and chink intelligence is literally bigger than it has ever been. even wider than 2024. just think about that. it’s over for china.
>>
>>110226234
deepseek has access to r&d that google doesn't, unironically, and i don't even like chinkshit. the chinese labs are fundamentally extensions of the chinese government. there's no real adversary, either. chinks are focused on mere survival in tech right now. they can't copy and build a jet, they don't have the supply chain. just like africans building fake helicopters out of wood, they just make a clone in the general shape of the original, with completely different functionality.

tl;dr not pennypinching opps, just broke bitches

As I figured. Google is known for reporting anything suspicious on your Google Drive account, so there's no way they didn't apply the same rules to their Gemini model.

Claiming 'nothing you say to Gemini will get your ass banned.' is just retarded if 90% of the anons on /g/ are gooning to questionable content. Probably the most reddit tier response I've seen here.

I don't think you understand the level to which I have tested the patience of the Google employees. If anything at all gets you banned from Google services with regards to Gemini, it is literal child porn. They do not give a fuck about anything else. You can make detailed plans to murder Google employees in Gemini, they will not do anything.

You can literally describe in detail your desire to commit an acid attack on an innocent Google employee in Gemini, they will not intervene. Truly the company has no loyalty to you, the user, or to its employees, it is purely driven by a profit motive. Test it yourself if you do not believe me.

I feel like Opus 5.5 didn't use to generate subagents, but now it does all the time. Should I be concerned? I'm willing to wait for the main agent to just finish its job even if it's more slow.

have been using sol6.1 lately and its such a fucking nigger sometimes. "do exactly X" turns into "whoops i extended the scope of things on my own and accidently burned a million tokens xddd shouldnt have dont it hehe"
they do this on purpose right?

Q/A benchmarks are fucking retarded, either measure code quality from long-running agentic sessions or don't fucking bother, else you get these fake ass results where the most expensive models turn out to be the cheapest when in actual real-world usage it will NEVER be the case.
>my usage? i run Q/A sessions on frontier models for questions that are already in their dataset
said no one ever

I actually told it to not spawn sub agents in my CLAUDE.MD unless the task absolutely required it. For some dumb reason I reverted that decision yesterday and my 5-hour limit was eaten up in like 15 minutes.

You're that person who only cares about long-running agentic coding workflows because you think software development is the only metric that matters when measuring intelligence. Well that's fine that you are that person but the Diamond will always be a better measure for intelligence and it also happens to be the benchmark that every human being who tries it performs terribly at. AI is objectively better than humans in many domains, and the Diamond is the objectively hardest benchmark. If you are a benchmaxxer, then the Diamond should be what you are paying attention to.

With that mandatory correction out of the way, the best model at any given time is constantly in flux. Right now the best one is Gemini 4 Argon. In some domains Claude might edge it out. But overall, objectively, Gemini 4 Argon is the best model at this moment.

no one cares about muh legal/medical knowledge, agentic SWE is 99.999% of current AI usage, so these benchmarks have very little value. while technically true, only like 5 people will care about argon being better at answering question for turtle anatomy.

Same issue, but intermittently, sometimes it will be fine. I think some nodes get quanted more than others

There's no contrast between background and foreground, it's difficult to see what's going on. Maybe make the card borders shiny green or something.

that original drawing is fucking horseshit lmfao
if anything the AI did an actually good job considering how little it had to work on
