So the point of mars in this world is that it's first colonized by multiple different parties, countries, a few more private ventures and some more schizo ventures, and it has had a short point in its past where most of the polities on mars were semi-independent politically and during the 90's, with the collapse of the soviet union and the near collapse of the united states, it's decided that mars would be better off as a politically independent entity, and the colonies break off and form their own states, but they don't fully control all of mars, by 2001 most of the landmass is "unclaimed" and has minimal settlement, thus when the martian republic is declared the "terra incognita" which i am thinking was like international waters becomes the 3 territories of mars, like 70% of the planet and i was wondering does this flag give that vibe?
