For one, maps can quickly already be around 300mb, clothing or item mods can be anywhere from 20mb to well into the hundreds as well it seems. Then take into account that the mod pack contains content from dozens of artists and you'll quickly end up with folders over a 100 gig. Also handy to take into account when you start to download mods on your own and see the game folder double in size within a few days

1. The Discord server in the OP is the main hub, there's a dedicated channel where modders post free stuff
2. Those modders will frequently link their stuff as most of them have a patreon, very few post (quality) free stuff, so you probably know what I mean, you'll have to pay if you want access to the full libraries

This is the profile of one such artist, who I don't think is active anymore. So if you find someone on Patreon, check if they've got a page on here. You can also check the folder names in the mod pack that you downloaded on here but chances are that the mod pack already contains those mods. No harm in browsing I guess

So far those are the only places that I know of. Again the Discord is the most active place surrounding HS2, you'll actually be able to find way more stuff like overlays for bodies and clothing and so on on there

Don't know about Ais, but if you only want to get a card running, you can just go to the head and body material editor and reset the shader. Removing hanmen is the first thing I do with every card I download. Sometimes they hanmen the teeth and toungue too, then those need to be reset as well.

That's the mod fault, these "Tattoos" are ruled by the 2 tone tattoo layer, making them useless if you want them exactly like the preview. You can't because the prevs uses more than 2 tones of "paint" over them.

My best recommendation is to make the overlay and use it.

Look, guys. I know this isn't the "right" forum for this - but I'm a stickler for consistency and realism.
And some things just tick me off.

As pictured, we have granite cliffs. On top of them, chalk-stone stratum boulders. The later, are rough, edgy, un-weathered. The far ends of a glacier, would be the only chance that they would have been placed on top of granite bedrock.

And the castle, in the far end, is white, made out of chalk-stone - unless of course, the imported a similiar material, over va~st distance.

And they have not "cleared" the field of boulders in front of them. If it were arid ground? Debatable. VERY debatable. But, it is spring-green. It is PRIME real estate - for fields, mayhaps, but at the very least animal husbandry.
Yeah, this kinda shit grinds my gears.
That is the same kind of "detail work" I put into my characters and scenes.
Am I just the odd one out, or am I on to something? You lads decide.

If you have a "tribal" society, mail is elite / hero tier armour. Plate? They don't have the tech or industry to produce as such, unless by divine or spirit intervention.

The example of this fucking castle, is key.
Castles, are built to either protect trade / thorough-ways, and or the local populace. It isn't feasible to construct them otherwise. The example, has no tradeway to show, and no agricultural / husbandry explotaition of the are as well. Only emperors with a streak for a vanity project, would build this shit. Long time no see hs2 gentlemen. I haven't played since repack 9/10 but I wanted to jump back in and stuff, so I went ahead and got a fresh install of repack 14 on a new PC and transferred my cards to it.
However when I went to check out the girls I had made so long ago, a bunch of the mods were missing (despite me transferring them over). Stranger still, when I checked the mods folder I can literally see the mod files that should be there, yet the mod doesn't show up on the character creator at all.
For example, I have K1T0-K1TN HD eyebrows installed, but for some reason I can't find them in the character creator.
Was there a step I missed while trying to get started up all over again? Thank you in advance.

And yes, it's not what it used to be. There's like ~30 people who drop into this general once in a while nowadays mostly to chill and shitpost, you can't expect a super active community to answer you within a few hours like when it came out. There's always the discord server if you need help quickly.

I think it's more that some of those skins are only designed to work with GraphicMod as opposed to DHH/compatible with both. Some skins require the lighting in the graphicsmod to look right, that's just how it is. DHH is more like a graphic filter as opposed to a graphic mod.

I've had this a couple of times, and re-applying the skin-shader fixed it. Cards probably used an older version, or otherwise bugged out. On rarer occassion the "chinese" skins also rub shaders the wrong way. Not sure if re-applying would help in that case, as it could appear again on loading.
Also had the occasionally fucky card with coloured paint or tan, though those were likely trolls.
If you still run into that problem after going through that little check-list, maybe try reinstalling your graphics mod - though unlikely, the problem might be on your end.

If you go beyond the 0-100 range for sliders you will run into clipping and misalignment. Also male characters don't normally have a height slider so any adjustments to their height will also result in clipping/misalignment.

When I download scene data the scene itself only has a resting animation, while the preview video of the scene has a full animation. In the workspace I see "movement" thats by default unchecked. When I check it the cog wheels show on the screen but nothing happens. How do I activate the animation that comes with the scene?

I have finally sorted all my cards, and selected the best of the best. I had to fap almost every day while going through the cards in VR, then adjusting them to be prefect, and selecting only the best ones. I also clicked some fusions, some of them turned out amazing, frens.
After more than a month of continuous effort, it was done.
And then my SSD died... The last backup is from August, just when I started with this. Remember to make regular backups, you never know what's coming.

Most scenes have the everything duplicated for each camera with different
poses, and you jump through the cameras to see it all.

Just mods. So HoneySelect2/mods. [Optional] Mods aren't installed, they're -wait for it- optional. If you wanted to install them, you'd copy/paste them into the actual "mods" folder. Otherwise they're just taking up space.

As for "My Mods" inside the mods folder, it's just a place where some creators decided to put their mods. The root/mods folder is the one you want, you can drop the zip right there, or in any folder you want inside it if you like to sort things, doesn't matter. As long as it's in HoneySelect2/mods it'll work.

If you download the better repack version the [optional] mods folder has something called [grey] meshexporter which should give you a start. The readme file has more details and also lists other tools that can do something similar.

I don't know for the first question, but for second you're right that hairstyles are locked to cards, not costumes. The alternative is making your hairstyles of choice by using accessories and leaving the actual hair blank/none, that way it'll be linked to costumes. But obviously you'll be missing a ton of hairstyles so it's far from a perfect fix.

It's dumb because Koikatsu came out 2 years before HS2 and had a proper hair/costume system that worked great, I have no idea what they smoked when they made this one. Even the fact that cards can't have multiple costumes you can toggle between like KK is retarded. But it is what it is.

Yes you can.

In main game, visit Fur's office/room (Play>Leave Room>Fur's room) to request to change her appearance (everything from body to clothes, except voice/personality can be changed). Bodymod "extra" slider infos for them are usually lost on the next load (but remain in game). I advise you to save the card data to a fodder backup before you exit the edit screen.

Visit VIP lounge to do the same to Sitri.

Note, if you "play" main game, you can have request to have sex with them too obviously. Do it at least once with both of them, then on finishing the second time with Fur, you will encounter an event where Sitri will ask if she can join the next time. From then on you can have threesome with them as you would when normally requesting two girls. This function (and unique voice lines) is not tied with other 100% save content and will have to be manually triggered. Niche tidbit.

Just encountered a weird thing. Spent a good couple of hours porting body measurements from a character I made in HS1. When I was finally finished, I tried to save but it didn't exit the card design screen. The words "Saving..." was stuck at the top of the screen and wouldn't go away.

I eventually sucked it up and quit the game. When I reloaded the game, it was suddenly all in Japanese again. Trying to set my language from the modpack initsettings.exe would just make the game crash on start up.

I'm in the middle of doing a fresh install at the moment. Does anyone know what might have caused this?

kinda late but I finally got around to reinstalling and yeah, it was an update or something. game worked fine after reinstall. I updated again through the BR launcher and my studio broke, again. just sitting on the blue NEO screen forever. pain in the ass because of how huge this game + mods are. I didn't even install bleeding edge mods. however I did stop the mods downloader a couple of times (not forcibly), because it's very slow and has to download hundreds of gb. did this in the past with literally no issue but that is all I can think of.

just in case someone else's studio is broken, this is probably the issue.
