There are groups out there like 'eh cove' and 'no thoughts head empty.' I don't know exactly how you would go about commissioning them, but many groups do put their contact info at the end of their translated works.

You could also go through e-hentai's bounty system, but you have to deal with credits and hath. Since I don't know the legal caveats of doing paid translation commissions of this nature, I only do them for imaginary internet points. Since I personally do it for learning/practice, I can be picky because overly complex things will be above my level, take really long, and probably not help my learning much.

As for finding actually reputable translators, you'll either have to judge their previous work for yourself, or maybe ask around some of the groups.

But after joining cum.pog.moe's Discord (they make you wait months just to get in), I realized that demand for translations vastly exceeds supply of labor. I have used it for maybe around 10 years already, but it hasn't been maintained for about 3 years or so, and only recently it has been giving me some trouble with exhentai.
Like ~30% of the time when I open a gallery image, it enters a state that keeps reloading the image, as if it failed loading the image and is trying to reload it despite it being fully loaded, and adding "&nl=some-id" multiple times to the URL.
In case anyone else uses it here, does anyone have any idea how to fix that? At some point I thought it might be related to Hentai@Home but I am pretty sure I tried with or without and it made not difference.
It is working fine with any of the other multiple websites that the scripts works on (mangadex mostly), so it is probably something more specific to exh.
I don't really like the way any of the other exhentai extensions/scripts work because I hate the vertical strip loading shit. But if anyone has a script or extension that preloads images but keeps them in a single page per window, I am all ears as well.

I've been using it for a few hours, and I just realized how powerful the Custom Size setting is.. All viewers need this. I set width to 3840, and height to 10000, then lower the applicability so it doesnt affect low res images too much.

Now low res images are being scaled up to an amount im happy with, and high res images arent scaled down too much. Can finally stop messing with zoom levels all the time. The scaler and speed is great too. Default keybinds needed a lot of changes, enabling context menu on right-click, autohiding all the panels by default etc. But its great.

Realized last night here was some stuff from an artist that was in magazines but not in tankoubons. So then if you want to find something like that you have to basically search though 10 magazines to find out the one magazine that contains the thing you wouldn't even really know if it exists or not.
I mean this is far from the first time I realized there was something by an artist I liked tucked away in the depths of some random magazine but yeah part of why it's bothering me so much now.

I thought if there were something that listed the table of contents for each magazine, it'd be possible to cross reference what's on exhentai as a tank or magazine or standalone, and also what's on dlsite or not but everywhere only lists the authors.

Oh well, in fact the more i search the more I realize how impossible it'd be and how much of a mess cataloging for this stuff is. Exhentai doesn't make any distinction between manga anthologies and stuff that are basically artbooks or bugbug, they're all classified as anthologies. I thought you could at least form a database with all the anthologies as a start, its usefulness would be a dead end without the chapter titles, but it'd be a start. But if you did try that it'd include a bunch of extraneous shit like those because they share the anthology.

If you use https://github.com/ccloli/E-Hentai-Downloader/tree/dnsev-h_x-info and change the settings so it downloads the eze info.json (on advanced settings tab, after you go to a gallery page with it installed). It will DL galleries with metadata already included.

Or you can use Gallery-DL which can do them in bulk and LRR recently added metadata support for it (I haven't tried it yet).

For torrents, you can try and get LRR to find the gallery by its name

Well, I started work on this. Kinda got far, kinda didn't. After getting rid of parent galleries and trying to get rid of expunged duplicates. I'm left with 13315 galleries. after using regex shit to sort them, I'm left with 3253 titles. Some of them, well most of them i guess, were entered correctly and didnt have anything special to the naming, no subtitle for example, and volume or date was uniformly labeled correctly. But there's still the majority of that 3253 that wasn't. I guess a lot of them are also simple fixes like comic X-eros or Shoujo Kumikyou which only didn't go in because the former the volume numbers are labeled with a # and the latter the volume numbers are labeled with nothing.
