I remember when an artist I knew did manga requests for just 5k a page and was of a solid quality. But they ended up getting over loaded with too many requests that she had to double the price to 10k a page late last year. Really makes me wish I did more requests at that rate as I don't think I've ever seen an artist have a rate as low as 5k per page since then.
It's hard to fine artists that'll do manga below 9k. Even mediocre artists will get flooded with requests of they do cheap comics.
