>>16536978>Just read the english text in the picture, Anon.Always pisses me off that the curators are too lazy to include transliterations and translations of the literal fucking text. Egyptfags are the worst offenders of this, but all museum curators seem to do it.

>>16539813The Söderala vane (Swedish: Söderalaflöjeln) is a weather vane dating from the Viking Age, richly ornamented and made of gilt bronze. It derives its name from Söderala Church in Söderala, Sweden, where it was used as a weather vane during the 18th century. It was most probably originally used as a vane on a Viking ship, and shows signs of wear. On stylistic grounds, it has been dated to c. 1050.

>>16541715Sadly I don't have a pic with the information plate on it but I'm guessing that most of the glasses are from the 16th and 17th century. As far as I can tell those shapes were popular in those time frames and the greenish glas (called forest glass in english) experienced its high there. And top left is a Passglass (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-bW7y0Qy9LM), which were also popular in that time frame. The exhibition is the one in Castle Altena, Germany.
