They had to bring over their 'elder', a masters student in mechanical engineering, who I politely greeted and continued a deep philosophical discussion, explaining evolution and biological systems, ideological competition, which similarly blew him away. He said I was extremely smart, and I returned the compliment saying they both were obviously intelligent, so as to maintain a positive interaction. In my parting remarks I said that American Muslims are pretty chill, but they need to recognize the Quran is not perfect, and reforms are needed. We shook hands on amicable terms.
