Is there any more adventure more swashbuckling than the expedition of Enrico Dandolo and Boniface de Montferrat against the Greeks? How much booty, cattle and gold and other such good things was acquired! Relics hidden away in some vault brought forth to be made public so to be venerated by the masses back in France and Venice in the monumental and glimmering new cathedrals springing up everywhere, which were also ornamented with the acquired statues of the Greeks. How much knowledge, how many neglected classics, books and hidden away scrolls were brought back. Truly a great example of the martial prowess and cunning of the French knight and shrewdness of the Venetians. Do it again Enrico Dandolo
