This is William Playfair
William Playfair was a Scottish engineer and political economist, who served as a secret agent on behalf of Great Britain during its war with France. He is the inventor of the graph, including the bar graph, area graph, line graph, and pie chart. His invention of graphical statistics is significant, because he accidentally ruined the lives of millions of paranoid schizophrenics who obsess over graphs as a way to misconstrued data to fill their own confirmation biases. We can thank this man for creating /pol/tards. What other unsung historical figures are still influencing debate to this very day?
