Why do people believe the great pyramid was a tomb? The "evidence" is completely lacking and when you take into account spirituality earnestly there are a lot more plausible theories.

Lol, these brown Egyptians were so dumb they thought this guy was a god! XD

Why is it completely lacking? What is your evidence against it? Why do you believe it?
What makes them dumb to believe it?

There is no direct evidence that the main pyramid was built explicitly as a tomb. It has a sarcophagus in it, but that could have easily been placed there symbolically. The architecture of it and specific materials invite unique acoustic and electromagnetic effects although subtle. These could have been intentional, and the Pyramid existed to use in compound with various mind altering herbs they had available for meditation, communion, etc.

It is much more interesting if you consider that there are many properties of reality we are unaware of. Pyramid could have easily been inspired through said drug use from an outside intelligence (NOT aliens). DMT has shared experiences in some people (even without being biased towards what they will see). So what I am saying is there could be an ethereal meaning behind it. A priest or higher ranking person with a lot of authority could have been divinely inspired by an outside intelligence through drug use and told something with enough meaning that it would cause their society to spend years building it. For some reason that is incomprehensible to us with our current level of understanding. Maybe it alters electromagnetic waves in such a way to aid in meditation. Maybe it provides a boon to the Earths EMF in a positive way and it is much more important than we currently realize. Maybe the current pollution we have in that regard from millions of radio signals is degrading the planet. The speculation is clearly endless and without any evidence much like the former, but the point is that if you have even a slight spiritual inclination and belief towards even basic things the meaning of the Pyramid becomes even more speculative, and that claiming it so confidently that it is a tomb without any explicit evidence is annoying, but this is a problem with all of archeology. These concepts I am referencing though aren't limited to modern day conspiracy theorists and schizos either and have been talked about frequently by respected ppl

There is no reason to think it was.
it would be akin to people in the future looking at a submarine and at the bottom of the sea and presuming it was an elaborate form of burial ritual.

Yeah, there is reason to believe it was.
What do you think it was, then? It's none of this >>16809606 /x/ shit that's for sure.

>There is no reason to think it was
How do you explain the sarcophagi, the corpses, and the pyramid's connection to a mortuary complex by a pathway?

>it would be akin to people in the future looking at a submarine and at the bottom of the sea and presuming it was an elaborate form of burial ritual
Except for the sarcophagi, the corpses, and the pyramid being physically linked to a mortuary complex.

Historically civilizations regularly had a belief that their leaders were divine, that's not even remotely unique to Egypt and nobody calls them dumb for it. What even led you to believe that in the first place?
