What are your favorite examples of the Strategy of Tension during the Cold War? For me, it's the Bologna Bombing. Terrorists connected to Italian organized crime / business and their state intelligence agency SISMI, along with help from NATO and the CIA as a part of their clandestine "stay-behind" operations, blow up a bunch of innocent civilians in a false-flag attack just to create a culture of fear among the populace. Pretty fucked up if you ask me.

>>16809342Been dating a Greek girl for about a year now and I know a fair bit about their ancient history, Persia, hellenic period etc but almost nothing about Greece in the Cold War, like didn't even know they had a military dictatorship for a while before it got replaced by the king and then the republic kind of like Spain did after Franco. Apparently though Greece was a pretty spicy place for clandestine skulldruggery in the 50s-70s? Are there any good books about that? Kinda surprised it's not a movie. Seems like it would be rad.
