Without faith in God and a Biblical objective morailty, how would society fill the void?

A new god and a new morality.

this is AI and she needs a shota cock.

Same way pagan Rome, India, China and basically every other pre-Abrahamic civilization dealt with things.

Faith in the divine is common to almost all societies, even if it doesn't take the Christian form. The morality would in all likelihood be more ruthless, more practical, less autistic, and more oriented towards shame instead of guilt.

Tribal and familial grievances and contracts

What void? I never experienced any void leaving Christianity. If anything there’s so many fuckin rules it’s a huge weight off your shoulders to escape it. The sermon on the mount describes an ascetic lifestyle and it’s not hard to argue he’s explicitly saying he’s adding to Old Testament rules, not erasing them.

>christianity and the bible invented god and morality
jaysis

Just hard cope. Atheists just say muh feelz dictate morality and then lobotomize themselves

Without faith, society would be based on human reason. A free-for-all that rejects the authority of the absolute. It would replace objective morality with subjective nihilism.

Friedrich Nietzsche stated that culture would replace religion.

>Without faith, society would be based on human reason
Isn't that reasonable?

Stop pretending either of you live the type of life Jesus describes in the Bible.

Masturbating and calling people slurs isn’t Christlike?

Without centralized political power, Christianity splinters into dozens of sects. And God is clearly not real due to lack of proof and evidence. So in reality, objective morality comes from the strong state. So if an atheist society has a strong state, it will have an objective morality. And the more wisdom rulers have, perceiving reality clearly, long term planning, patience, teamwork, and respectability, then the longer the state will last and hence the longer a situation of "objective" morality will last.

So you’re saying objective morality is an egregore and ebbs and flows with the belief of the people who hold fast to it?
>>
>>16810462
Your heretical twistings of the Scriptures are not the teachings of Christ or His Church
>>
>>16810498
Objective morality does not exist. However, if you want to create the most dominant, long lasting state possible, you have to engage in long term planning, teamwork, etc. and this journey leads to the discovery and use of "natural laws" so to speak which lo and behold have some resemblance to various ethical codes.

Which one?
>>
>>16810513
I think the fundamental problem is that this is a dynamic world and our ethical codes require some level of flexibility in accordance with changing circumstances. The end of ethics is human flourishing but that’s a concept full of many variables and we need to find an equilibrium, which means allowing for things to balance out with rule changes while letting the fundamental ones remain sacrosanct.
