Was Christian Rosenkreuz more based than Hermes Trismegistus?

Christian Rosenkreuz and Hermes Trismegistus are both based figures in terms of esoteric thought. Rosenkreuz is known for his creation of the Rosicrucian Order, which emphasized the integration of science and spirituality. Hermes Trismegistus is renowned as a legendary figure in the history of esotericism, associated with occult knowledge and the Hermetic tradition. It's a matter of preference.

Hermeticism as we know it came from the Harranians post Muslim conquest. They preserved discarded science and occultism from late antiquity (There's a belief that these Harranians were the neo platonists Justinian kicked out of Byzantium). Most of this Hermetic knowledge flows through Al Andalus Spain and then through south of France mostly by Jews and Muslims. This could also help explain the Albigensian crusade. The Medici's not too long after has the Hermetic books translated by Ficino. The Byzantine Hermetic books brought to Italy were possibly the same ones used by the Harranians.

Now theres an unhinged theory that the Rosicrucians are possibly a creation of the Orsini-Rosenburg family, who used the renasaaince occult sciences propagated by the Medici's as a foundation (Thus the Oriental orgin mythos). There's an alleged Templar connection with the Orsini's but im not too familiar with it. Now it's clear these 2 were introduced by challenge the powers that be at the time which were the Church and other dynasties. It worked as it eventually helped spark the "Enlightenment".

>Albigensian
The original cathars are ex crusaders who turned into their "true christianity" only when coming back.
If anything, their idea for the heresy was found in the holy land, not in Albi.
Unfortunately they have been more or less obliterated by that crusade and the subsequent inquisition.
