>get assassinated while fighting a civil war>proceeds to get worshipped by millions and many future rebellions and conflicts in the caliphate are centered around his figure (or at the very least some lip service about him)How does that work?
Religious people worship death, they cannot wait to die. Therefore someone dying for something is to be celebrated and revered.
>worship a man and his progeny >the majority of the faith follow the little mesugaki whore that single handedly killed off said man's bloodlineI don't understand sunnis???
>schism in christianityCaused by moral/theological differences>schism in IslamCause by a family feud between who should inherit absolute political powerWhy does Islam keep pretending to be a religion?
>>16811678The fact that you guys often seem to literally worship Ali is the #1 problem they have with you lol
>>16811682There are very substantial theological differences, they just took time to evolve. You could compare it to how early proto-Nicene Christianity and early proto-Rabbinic Judaism formed each other through polemic. Or to how after the Great Schism you get the Latins and Greeks emphasizing theological differences in ways they hadn't necessarily been before. There are also moral differences because they have different fiqh. Taqiyya in the broad sense is a Shia thing, although not that sinister because it basically just comes from them needing to lie to survive since they were often in the minority. But it's funny, if you go to an Arabic language page where Sunnis and Shias are shittalking each other the Sunnis are going to be accusing them of taqiyya.
>>16811690Sunnis literally worship hadith and hearsay. They elevate rumor over scripture
>>16811582>How does that work? They thought he was god, god's chosen one, some sort of prophet-king, and/or demigod. Just semites being semites.
