Protestants are correct that Christianity is fundamentally a libertarian religion. The core tenants are basically that forcing your will over others is an abomination and you should never allow anyone else to enforce their will over you either through taking your resources or telling you what to do (turn the other cheek isn’t about not defending yourself but not seeking revenge). The only way Christianity allows for the enforcement of will is through social shunning and ostracism. The main reason Catholic and orthodox theocracy is gaining traction is because people are power hungry in the face of declining belief not because it actually aligns with Christian theology.

>Protestants are correct that Christianity is fundamentally a libertarian religion.

>Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

>Christianity is fundamentally a libertarian religion
"Slaves, obey your masters" is as much a libertarian statement as "I'm not into BBC sucking" is somethingOP would say.

Christianity is a cucked religion, but the truth of the matter is that the world deserves to be cucked.

Yes, meekness would include not being seditious or traitorous.
If you observe closely, every state which has come into being has dissolved eventually, with or without any human intervention.
A biblical example of pride ruining someone where they should've been meek is Zedekiah King of Judah. He was made king by Babylon in place of his brother. Rather than paying tribute and passing his time as a wise and good ruler over Judah, he rebelled against Babylon.
His rebellion led directly to the sacking of Jerusalem and his own mutilation (his eyes being put out).
There is a time and place for everything. A debt slave is not someone to exonerate except at his master's discretion. A law is not to be disobeyed except if in obeying it you break God's Law.
In the end, if the conditions of some place are unbearable for you, you're free to move somewhere else.

Why am I supposed to allow Caesar to rule over me?
Or is it ok because Jesus told me that I should pay taxes to Caesar therefore it's not Caesar forcing his will onto me but rather Jesus?
