Throughout most of human history, people didn't see technology advance at all during their lifetime. Wack how we now see it evolve dramatically by each passing decade
>>16883510it is almost as if things are accelerating..........
Except we already degenerated in terms of genetic quality massively since the start of the Industrial Revolution. We don’t have the genetic requirements to start an Industrial Revolution anymore compared to our situation back then. Our ancestors came from an era, which lasted more than a thousand years with constant top-down elite-commoner genetic replacement. The elite had more children per-capita than commoners. There was constant generational downward social mobility. This means many descendants of nobles intermingled with peasants every single generation.Wha we have now is not just a large underclass, which grew to grotesque proportions, a dwindling upper and middle class, but also foreign racial replacement. We have an extreme competency crisis. No technology is going to compensate for the genetic disaster we are experiencing right now.

One of these days the modern world will collapse and I will smugly stare at you little emasculated bitches as you scream and cry about how there's no AC and you can't browse tiktok.
>>16883510>Huge, absolutely civilization altering advances like the steam engine and the telegraph get lumped together with consumer facing technology shit like YouTube and iPhonesTyler Cowen was right
>>16883510>YouTube>Facebook>Googlememe chart, how are this as pivotal as the internal combustion enginetechnology usually progresses like pic related, look at jumbo jets, basically the same design except a little more fuel efficient and safer, in some cases less so like the 737 MAX due to the competency crisis
>>16884830Why don't we adopt the same upbeat attitude that they had in the 1950s, why does everything have to be so cold and cynical unless it involves BLM or trans rights?
>>16883510'First synthetic cell' isn't actually a cell because it isn't alive nor can it reproduce. It's like they built a 'robot' that cannot actually move. In this case, a robot wasn't built; a statue was built. They didn't build a cell; they built a corpse.
>>16883510Wait till you look up the number of inventors of alternative energy since the 1980s who've mysteriously died to a suicide from two bullets to the back of the head. How many parents car and gas companies stole, bought, and destroyed. One man alive today has a black box that powers his home that can fit in your hand. He refuses to tell anyone how it works or share it. He's terrified of disappearing. People in power don't want to use technology to make the world better. We honest to God would be in a golden age of humanity if our current leaders weren't shitbags who let corporations do as they please.
>>16884843I for one like our kids scribble that cannot compare to God's creation.
